I'm responding to your review for Code Geass. I am pointing out that Suzaku was a terrible foil for Lelouch. A much more logical comparison for him would have been any one of the Knights of the Round. Suzaku is just a naïve fool who lets the worst of Britannia walk all over him, whereas Lelouch is a nihilistic narcissist who absolutely despises his own race. Season 1 actually handles this dyad pretty well despite all of the plot holes, but once the Knights of the Round are introduced it makes Suzaku's role entirely moot, which is why the writers killed them since their canon Centrist views would have proven Lelouch completely wrong.

No other views besides extremist ones are shown, so you can't say "No one is right or wrong" when everyone who actually gets a say in anything is obviously wrong both morally and logically. Zero Requiem falls apart when any logic or knowledge of history is applied to it.

Look up Monica Krushevsky and Gino Weinberg and you'll see what I mean in regards to their Centrist views.

And yes, you can look up the leaked original script for Episode 1 of Season 2. The series has been confirmed to have been sabotaged by Sunrise corporate.

We never see anyone else's point of view in Code Geass R2 aside from solutions even more ridiculous than Zero Requiem because if anyone who wasn't as much of a hypocrite as Suzaku ever presented a logical argument against Lelouch's revenge-driven, extremist views, he could be easily proven wrong. Monica and Gino could have been this foil, but Sunrise corporate wanted to cash in on Lelouch's marketability before they prematurely killed the franchise. That's why Lelouch was captured so the Tokyo colony was never ravaged by the Black Knights (aside from Lelouch killing several thousand civilians by only giving a four-minute warning--oh, but that's all forgotten in the reset!) since they actually could be seen as villains then and Monica and Dorothea were murdered and Gino and Monica got absolutely no development until the novels and "Oz" which only a small fraction of people have read. I've seen evidence of people were super hyped for Monica before the second season as they seemed to have built her up somewhat. It shows how little respect Sunrise actually had for their fans in the very end.
