(spoilers ahead - watched 12/25)
I don't get the hate towards the first arc of the season. To me, it was clear that they're showing more of the character's development, and including other characters with quirks as unique as the mcs quirks. The first arc wasn't boring - it managed to re-introduce a lot of people that I honestly thought were useless in their utility in battle.
For a lot of people, though, this was a let down. I don't think it was - the fights were cool, the animation is better than the one in fourth season, and the arc felt way less filler-y than
...
the ones in the other seasons. Honestly, I believe this first arc is important because it not only introduced Shinso in the hero course, but it also showed a little bit more of the One for All quirk/story, which seems to be one of the season's main points.

**SPOILERS**
so, i admit that i took a long time to finish this season. if i stopped in the beginning, my grade would surely be low than 9. This season started off pretty slowly, while the Overhaul arc was being created. The 10 first episodes were kinda slow and boring, since nothing really happened (more on that later). After that, the Overhaul arc started. I really enjoyed it, even though I think that they went a little bit too safe with the fight scenes - most of it was basically people struggling to get out of the place with Eri, not fights. Which was also cool
...
- Lemillion got his deserved spotlight, and so did Suneater. I was longing to see them in combat, and it was truly awesome. I really emphatized with Lemillion - he's truly a gentle guy, and Eri deserves to be taken care by him.
After the Overhaul arc, we had the mini arc with Gentle Criminal and La Brava, which I really enjoyed, and an amazing season ending with the new symbol of peace - Endeavor. I still have my regards with Endeavor (I think we all have), and MHA is really showing how people can change, and try to improve themselves. The last episode was a cliffhanger, and it shows that season five will have a lot to work with.
My only complaint is that a lot of the MHA eps (especially the beginning ones) feels like fillers - nothing really happens, nothing really hypes the viewer up. Maybe if they shrinked it to 22 episodes that wouldn't happen. But I understand that having some fillers is important when following the manga.
I would still like to see more of the side characters, like Tokoyami and Mina, having more screen time. Characters like Tokoyami are incredibly strong, and no one's really noticing it because they don't have screen time. Tokoyami's quirk is amazing, and it would be a weapon of destruction in battle, but they keep giving him "extras" job. Same goes for Bakugo - he has some lines here and there, but nothing more than that. We see a lot of Midoriya, and of course we do, but when you introduce these characters, the viewers expect them to be a little more of side characters. I think that Tokoyami will appear a lot more in season 5, so I'm hoping to see more of him. One of the strongest points in MHA are the characters, so I really wish the anime would show more of them.
The animation was a little dissapointing in some of the fights (like the Overhaul arc), but they went overboard with the last fight, so... It kinda works. But what matters the most was the enjoyment, and god, it was entertaining. Let's hope season 5 brings all of it again!

When I first finished Violet Evergarden, I thought to myself that this anime was only looks. But then, why did I feel so moved after every single episode? Why did every episode touch my soul in different kinds of way? Showing me the purest, or the worst, human emotions?
And now, I am prepared to say that Violet Evergarden is one of the best I have ever had. It's heartbreaking, soothing, sad, filled with rage and despair - it's human. It's the most humane anime I've ever seen in my entire life: it shows how our life is deeply connected to feelings, sensations, memories. How
...
our life would be plain without them. How they're important - how people we live with are important. How bonds are important. Seeing Violet's feelings blossom was ethereal and beautiful, in a way, and seeing her pain was heartbreaking.
I stand by my point that this anime is the embodiment of what being human is. Don't get me wrong, I'm not entirely praising it - in some cases, the plot felt weak and the anime was kinda slow for my liking, too episodic. After all, I took a long time to complete it just because it was episodic. But after that, the feeling of watching Violet's emotional growth and pain stood with me - and I remember all the scenes where this anime taught me the importance of bonds and feelings (I think we all remember episode 10). I don't even have anything to say about the artstyle, seeing that it is the prettiest anime I've ever encountered up until now.
If you like the feeling of watching Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away (or any Ghibli movie in general), and like to cry, this anime is definetely for you.

Ah, yes, puberty. We've all been there - new emotions, new crushes, new topics to know about, new sensations. Dates, friends, school, sex. Everything's new, beautiful and terrifying at the same time. This anime is about a group of girls from the Literary Club that are going through this new phase in life, discovering a life that they never encountered before.
We meet different kinds of girls - Rika, a uptight nerd that hates everything regarding sex; Niina - once a television star, a mysterious beauty that attracts all the guys; Hitoha - a genious and weird author; Momoko - a sweet and caring friend;
...
and finally, Kazusa, the main character, clumsy and loyal. These girls go on several different adventures to find out what this new phase in life has to offer.
Adolescence is the time of new discoveries - a new world full of several different feelings. But this premise fell alongside the many unnecessary arcs involving teachers and/or older men. I get that many people in this age develop a crush on their teacher - but the extent of these relationships in this anime is concerning.
In that sense, the anime tried to touch some sensitive topics - pedophilia being one of them - but failed on showing how this behavior shouldn't be accepted (hell, they even made a line about how the old guy should be forgiven ????). Also, the whole "seducing your teacher" arc isn't it. I couldn't believe I was watching that kind of thing. Except from those two arcs, I do think that this anime made a interesting job in portraying the confusion surrounding those years, a mixture of wonder and fear about the new things that these characters are, one by one, dealing with and discovering. I just really wish they'd work the old man arc in a better way, less romanticised maybe.

overall: 4.
Nope. I'm sorry. This isn't for me.
I praised this anime when it first came out. It seemed interesting, and I thought it would be something to finally defy some stereotypes and bring awareness to mental health issues. Turns out, this show brings nothing new to the topic. Instead, it tries to make it seem even more gorey and violent than it actually is. I've struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts, and this anime showed me how much the outside world don't understand what that feels like.
So, Wonder Egg begun in an interesting way. We meet Ohto Ai, a girl that's been struggling with
...
depression ever since her friend killed herself. She doesn't go to school anymore, and stays in her bed the whole day. We see flashbacks about what happened to the girl before her death - nothing too descriptive, though. It's only flashes about Ai's point of view. But then... that story... fades. Simply fades, because the show now focuses on a weird mix of time travel, death, scientific experimentation... and it's, honestly, a mess. The plot is everywhere to the point where I can't even begin to explain it to people that never watched it.
The struggles with depression became too violent, too explicit. There are scenes of self-inflicted injury, explicit ones. It's the same that happened with "13 reasons why". We all thought it would bring awareness to the topic, turns out it was just a show to shock the audience and raise controversy for profit. Wonder Egg did the same thing.
The animation is amazing, the characters are great. But the plot and the unnecessary explicit scenes made its appeal fade away. Again, as someone that struggled with the same feelings the anime tries to show, I can tell that I expected more. Actually, I expected this to go out of the "let's raise controversy over mental health issues topic and shock the audience with explicit, uncalled for self-inflicted injury scenes". Sadly, this is just another money-grabbing show that was meant to do that from the beginning. I didn't want to say this, but seriously, I'm tired of seeing what I felt when I tried suicide in that way.
Please, don't watch this show if you're sensitive to these topics: sexual abuse, sexual assault, rape, suicide, depression, soft gore, blood, self-inflicted injuries, wrist cuts, explicit portrays of suicide.

Score: 9 out of 10.
I normally don't watch comedy, especially Japanese comedy. For me, what they find funny isn't funny. But Kaguya-sama love is war was so high rated that I decided to give it a try - and I'm glad I did. I couldn't stop smiling, laughing and enjoying the show - so much so that I finished this in two days. All of their jokes are insanely well-crafted, funny and unique. This whole anime presents itself as a special type of comedy, completely out of the box. And honestly, I enjoyed it so much. And now I have a new favourite character -
...
Chika. Seriously, she is SO CUTE. The ed should've been her dance all the time, not gonna lie.
Well, aside from being a smart and funny anime, Kaguya-sama love is war presents itself with a broad number of cool and peculiar characters, skipping the clichés and thinking outside of the box. The plot is pretty much consistent, although the anime is kind of episodic. Still, it's a great rom-com to binge watch and have fun.

Okay, so, not gonna lie here. Some bits seem very far-fetched and unrealistic. But so does every sports anime ever. This one's about adrenaline, and oh boy, did I feel that adrenaline while watching it. Let me tell you, this is a very enjoyable anime for someone that's looking for a fun, light-hearted and action-packed show. The characters aren't really that deep, but they're super likeable. Some of them felt a little too cliché, but honestly? I'm looking for the thrill of skateboarding, and I found it here. I loved watching it (actually, I binge-watched it in 2 days). So, honestly? not the best anime
...
out there, but its adrenaline feel and his light approach transformed it into one of my comfort animes. So, props to that.

Shonen anime are always a double-edged sword: they can be awesome and keep you hyped and interested in the story, or end up falling for the same cliché tropes and stories.
I'm glad to say that Jujutsu Kaisen is a fresh take on shonen, much different from the other mainstream ones. It takes on after Yuuji eats a special-grade cursed object to save the sorcerer fighting for it. After that, Yuuji takes in a powerful curse, Sukuna, and learns to control it.
I really like the characters, and I think they're all very unique and creative. I mean, we got a huge talking "panda", a
...
guy that only says salmon roll ingredients, two super strong and developed (!!) female characters, a likable main character who's strong, but not cocky about it. I loved every single one of them and I'm expecting to see more, especially from Inumaki and Maki.
Besides the characters, I think that what made this anime interesting was the continuous hype about it. Even in the simpler episodes, Jujutsu Kaisen kept being interesting by adding great and funny dialogue and amazing fight scenes. Most of the show relies on its characters, which was a great idea, since all of them are great.
Also, help, I can't stop listening to lost in paradise.

scored 8 out of 10.
Everyone says this series "lacks plot in spite of the amazing art". That may be true in some senses, but not all of them.
Yes, it is true that the plot is insanely cliché: a boy sees his family being brutally murdered and watches as his sister turns into a monster. Because of that, the guy now seeks revenge. It is also true that the show is completely full of filler episodes, especially in the end, but they're building up tension to the second season - I think we all can excuse that.
Character-wise, the plot starts to flourish. Yeah, the mains
...
are the (also) cliché troupe of "the good guy", "the angry guy" and the "brutally stupid guy", but I also think that at least Tanjiro has a good inner perspective going on. It's rare to see a protagonist that doesn't really care about getting his revenge. Tanjiro's a good soul, who wasn't corrupted by hatred. Kanao is also a good character and I really wish the show would put her on the center of attention - I really think that she has the potential to become one of the favourite characters in the show. Also, I'm really sorry, but I just cannot like Zenitsu (at least they toned his god awful screams down near the end, it was getting in my nerves).
The art was outstanding, and I do think we all agree on that. I mean, every single pannel is creative and innovative, and I simply loved the atmosphere they created combining a certain type of old japanese art to the show. The fight scenes are perfectly made, as well as the katana movement (yes, I am a sucker for swords. sorry!). Also, can we talk a little bit about the character design in this show, especially with the Hashiras? Every single one of them has so many potential! I really want to see more of them, know a little bit more of their life and their backstories. Especially Rengoku, Kanroji, Uzui and Himejima. They all appeared in only one episode and already marked the series so much.
Overall, I think this anime is pretty good. Not perfect - actually, far from that, plotwise - but entertaining. And, at the end of the day, everyone's seeking for something to have fun with. I consider myself to be pretty excited for the next season - I hope they'll show more fights and deepen the plot a little bit too.

So, this is the season where everything starts to make sense. All the flaming questions we all had are starting to come together, finally, after more than 30 episodes. Can I just take a moment to appreciate the wonderful suspense this anime has? It wouldn't be the same if they just straight up got into it in the first seasons. And they're even letting space for more - actually, WAY more. The only thing I missed about this part was the fights - but as someone that is now starting the second part, I can tell: there are plenty.
Let's go to the ratings:
Story: 10. Seriously,
...
I had so many theories about the titans that I feel relieved now that I know a bunch already - I'm still waiting for more. The new characters they introduced were great too, and their arcs are completely necessary to the whole story.
Art: 9. Damn, the artstyle keeps getting better. The titan animations keep improving, and so does the whole city and architecture. I personally love the way they animated the swirls and jumps on the ODM gear.
Sound: 10. What the hell, this opening! I literally can't stress enough how much I love this.
Character: I'm giving this a 9 only because I still want to see more development, I feel that some characters had no overlook on their past or objectives. Still, the characters are finally coming together and growing, not only in the battlefield, but subjectivelly too.
Enjoyment: 10. There's no way to dislike what this first part had to offer, because it's literally what (I believe) we were all waiting patientely for the past seasons. I still thrive for more, though.
Overall: 9. I'm only giving it a 9 because I thought that the 3 last episodes should've had a little more action, they were just a little bit too slow for my taste in action anime.
