the comedy sometimes corny but still worth your time to read it
if you find a manga about huge character development, then this one for you, even the protag too bravado

continue from 1st one i read this and kinda surprising how the character transformed more beautiful, i'm not talking about the females, but also the male characters (i'm straight btw), i would say this one is a big upgrade especially for MC
the story kinda intriguing, and somewhat creating chain effect
and for harem, well this is probably ... the first harem manga i ever read intentionally, and unlike pros get the girls, he got boy too hahahaha

at first i'm not gonna put my mind about this anime

in short NO! THIS ANIME HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH MANGA OR 98's PREQUEL NOR BEING FAITHFUL TO THE MANGA!
VASH is clearly miserable dude, not easy going oaf unlike in manga or 98's, even tho he still miserable but he put mask for it!
character and events placement are fricking OFF
they already use lines on the edge of manga story!
as manga having dark story, but the balance is when it comes to vash, the atmosphere mostly gone brighter, unlike this one

BUT here i'm being good guy

the CG is freaking smooth, for battles especially, on some ... occasion it still jaggy but well i would overlook that
and i still curious what happen next for the story
and what happened to plant that looks like kanzaki urumi in this series gonna looks like hahahaha

do i recomended it? i dunno it depend

if you just salary worker and too tired to do nothing but still too early to sleep and really don't care about lore and just "wow a space cowboy anime" then go for it (or high tolerance like me)

if you expecting the manga that having "a little messy" art getting animated, well buddy, for your own sake, just forget this even exists


but as i'm being generous, despite all that flaws, this score is too much

me who watched OG lemme rate this from my perspective

as man who love comedic, the comedic tone down is a let down so 5

environmental is "too clean" due coloring technique but somewhat faithful to manga 8

animation, well this is modern tech we talking about 9 perhaps

as i love OG series from atmospheric music, this one lacking 5 or 6

characters, due megumi and aoshi is the latest one shows up and seriously, megumi cheek shape and aoshi "eyes glare" is bugging me so much so 4, if they cut "megumi kitsune mode" i would edit and deduce point significantly, for kanryu, i dunno, so ... far he looks as annoying as ever

also i find the music in this remake seems lacking, almost no emotion whatsoever and hope they can comesout with something on par with "omoi odorenai warutsu" the current OP and ED sounds okayish, probably bias for me who sometimes listening to REOL

and some people not recommend the show as the author controversy, for me as long as the story not promoting author shitty behauvior then it's not a problem

as OG watcher, i would promote this anime to new viewer as alright knowing these people would prefer graphics, but i still prefer the old ones due musical and character faithfullness (or read the manga whenever i stuck on long line on hospital hehehehe)

back in 2018 i was intensely searching for anime about 2 girls get isekai'd i watched when i was i dunno, 7 maybe? and turns out, the name itself is hard to remember as i don't understand japanese, because it's song really taking rent of my mind since i was little and i really curious about the show i was skipped back then, you know kid stuffs like additional lesson time

first thing surprised me about this anime were, probably the first harem and isekai anime i ever watched back then, and.... the story itself is shouldnt be watched ... as a 7 years old boy as it's alot implication of NSFW and some nudity

for character, as a dude, i dunno about girls feelings tho, i find both of yuuki and her friend are somewhat equally annoying, even tho yui's hate is somewhat justified but come on? switching side to the worst one? even tho, she's girl i like for her short hair when i was kid

yuuki herself is like too idiot blinded by her love on latter episodes which kinda anger me

and nuriko, nuriko occasionally bullied by other character

for some other harem character i don't dwelve into but, the kitsune monk is the stereotype fox like anime character for me
or the narcistic emperor

i'm not into shoujou even tho i watched some of them like wedding peach but, this one i completed to fills my curiousness from back then, i'm not disappointed from the ending and i couldn't asked for more

overall story about villain is just your typical "look at my past OH THE HORROR now the world must suffer" vibe which even modern anime have that, and come on, i knew they are mythical creature from old world and i doubt APFSDS' couldn't solve the problem

while romance is the clumsy girl who sometime get blinded by her emotion, and beware of handsome but broken dude, they are manipulative

i find it a first unique reverse-trappy-harem-isekai-anime with minimal nfsw content and not having stereotype normal harem which after inside all of the harem member pants which i'm not fan of it, so i give it a go

short review

the story is not tolkien
the battle is not devil may cry (max0r,2020)

but the corny jokes still put smile on my face, not speaking for everyone and honestly, there are "illegal" jokes i see as an adult now

i like the OST, probably the most thing i love from the series

back when i was 12 i like jiyu outfit design, minimalist and shirt+tie with vest is simplistic but cute
... jubei yagyu II is a badass character i love too
ryujoji characters are the ones who even weirder probably from expectation of their look
the ruffians are comic relief but almost the entire show characters are comic relief
not saying this is a "safe to watch as family show" especially in this time

rewatching it again on 2023 after beforehand i rewatched it too around 2019 or 2020, due lack of streaming site

the thing i hate from it is , how come they labelling samurai as NINJA?

i recommend it for people who find anime as "cartoonish" goofy ass entertainment not life bible or serious stuff

fluid dog-fight is the reason i got attracted to this anime, but while watching i sucked into it's atmosphere of tense of triangle love, and the song, i like the song, they have good songs almost as always



but i really don't like ecchi, but this feature will give this more score for certain viewer i think, think of it, a good CG model and animation, good story, good music, damn that's totally overkill, plus ecchi for certain viewer? any anime lover shouldn't missed this one, but i can't watch it without worry while my parents are with me

because of this anime, sometime ... i sing "lion", and "diamond crevasse" on college, and i'm a dude hahaha
