Akumetsu has been completely translated! Go read it! I don't think that ending was bad. I mean, there really aren't that many good ways to end series that you like as it is (except for very special stuff like Gurren Lagann which was pure win from the beginning till the very end). Considering that fact I found the ending actually to be pretty good way to end the series.

The game sounds great! And in fact, I was just about to post you, when I noticed your post, that I'm seriously considering buying either PS2 or PS3 as right now I only have PC and the console of failure; Wii.
The biggest reason why I'm considering buying Playstation is: I WANT TO PLAY SOME GOOD JRPG!! Minor reason *cough*excuse*cough*: My little brother wants it too.

I'm having withdrawal symptoms from not playing any good RPG for a long time (mostly played horror survivals but getting bored of 'em) and I happened to stumble upon some Persona 4 videos. Fuck I want that game badly right now.. Do you know does P4 work on PS3? If it does I should probably buy PS3 instead of PS2 (well the price if a factor too, haven't yet checked how much they have price difference).

Was thinking what mecha series I could recommend for you and here is couple:

Basquash! - Ecchi basketball mecha series. Pretty good at first but after the director change it becomes worse.

Eureka 7 - Pretty slow start but very good show overall, I recommend that you check this out.

Fullmetal Panic! - Action packes mecha series. I liked the first season but got stuck on the Fumoffu, which is a gag show. Many people like it but I don't, I just don't find it funny (military-freak goes to high school and screws everything up pretty badly). Haven't watched the second season yet.. I can recommend this too.

Furi Kuri - You have seen this, right? It just isn't on your list.

Shinkon Gattai Godannar - Ecchi pilots, ecchi robots. Nothing but ecchi series. B~a~d, but you can still check it out.

Geass R2 is like bad first season. Some of the scenes are almost exact repeats from the season one and instead of Lelouche's brilliant plans how to defeat Britannia the show is centered around fanservice and plot twists that don't really even add up well with the first season (which was great).
