Shirobako is the rare kind of slice of life workplace drama anime that is both a great entry point for beginners as well as those well versed in anime. It being a show about an anime studio and their trials and tribulations fit well into teaching the uninitiated about the processes as well as be loaded with referential things that only true anime viewers will appreciate. But if there were ever an example of a show that has referential things going over new viewers' heads that really don't harm the enjoyment it would be this one.

This is the only good pure anime comedy. Definitely give it 3 episodes it may be difficult to get sucked into its insane rhythm immediately. But once you do it's basically a never-ending joy ride of laughs until it ends.
