There are many different anime that center around Blood-C such Blood+ that Blood-C was based off of. But one thing I've noticed is that Blood+ has significantly better ratings than Blood-C on MAL, and although I haven't really watched either of the two, I can guess that Blood-C probably lacked the plot that its predecessor had.
And here we have Blood-C: The Last Dark, a movie by the renown Production I.G. I think it's obvious that the leading assets of this movie are its animations. The colors used compliment the mood and the tone in each scene, and the fight scenes are gorgeous with angles, the

movement and everything. The glorious graphics sometimes even surpass that of Fate Zero, in some fight scenes.
But because of all the eye candy, the mediocrity of the voice acting was made apparent. When I was watching the movie, I felt like the voice acting didn't appropriately pair up with incredible visuals that I thoroughly enjoyed. A couple of the scenes in the movie felt a bit lacking because of the average voice acting that didn't portray quite enough emotion to cohere with the intensity depicted in the visuals. I really felt like these visuals deserved more.
Additionally, I felt that the story was trying to rush itself alone the 1 hour and 47 minutes it had to get itself across while still staying true to the classic defeat-the-final-boss-and-discover-the-bigger-picture sort of plot. A scene or two seemed a bit rushed, and certain scenes that portrayed comic relief from the side characters were over in five seconds, making them feel a bit awkward and out of place in the serious atmosphere that was created in the beginning.
This brings me to the point that Blood-C: The Last Dark would have been better off, and more engaging in the beginning if it were it's own anime series. Then it would have more time to get its story across instead of squishing it in a two hour time-frame. The development of the characters could also be better executed, in a series, where each episode could go more in depth on the complex characters CLAMP created, instead of squishing everything important, and thought-provoking in the ending moments of the film.
Overall, I feel like this was a very decent movie, and this would definitely be something to watch if you want to see an impressive execution of graphics. In fact, the graphics that dominated in the end thoroughly won me over to one up the score I had originally given this movie.
So I give this an 8/10.

So now after my first encounter with Code Geass that was around three to four years ago, I have decided to write a review for one of the masterpieces that i respect. Now let me warn you, I have not watched Gundam, or Death Note, so I'm not here to compare different anime.
I'll start in order. First off the story. I didn't detect, any problems with the way the plot was moving. Of course, this anime is dramatic, and most of the things occuring in the anime will probably never appear in real life, but hey, that didn't get in the way of me enjoying

the anime.
Kami (ha!) was not kind to Lelouch, and the rest of the characters in in anime, and I have purposely skipped over painful scenes many times during the process of rewatching. But watching Lelouch rise up from all of the pain and hurt inflicted on him was a sight to behold!
No matter how many times i watch code geass I never seem to get tired of lloyd's insanity, C.C's stonedness (yea...), And last but not least, Lelouch's genius, and addicting dramatic entries, and poses.
Unlike a few people out there, animation and quality really matter to me, so that usually restrains me from watching any anime that stems from a date before 2008. But Code Geass will always live in my heart as one of the better anime, even when the animations are from... surprisingly 2005. I believe that one of the reasons why this anime succeeded as a mecha, was because they didn't focus on the Knightmare all that much unless they were moving. All of the work was directed towards the characters' eyes, and I have noticed that the unique and sharp design of the eyes, really affected the level of my enjoyment. Yes, somehow a lot of emotion leaks from them.

The main reason for my motivation to write a review for Guilty Crown was because of my surprise when i saw so many 3 and 4 ratings for it. I honestly thought that Guilty Crown was one of the best anime I have watched. Although i admit that the first few episodes of Guilty Crown are really not all that compelling, I encourage you to give this anime a chance and stick to it till the end.

fight scenes are all hyped up with all the bright "crystally" colors, and fitting music. The OSTs that are chosen for each scene are perfect, and they do the job of drawing watchers into the screen ( I swear, the reason why i cried in a few scenes was all because of the music in the background).
The main character Shu, isn't our typical anime protagonist. I'd say that Shu is more similar to those background characters that get caught up in some kind of accident in those action anime's. However, that doesn't mean he's flat out boring. I found him to be quite irritating in a couple of scenes, because I prefer stronger characters, but I found Shu's character development over the course of the anime pull me in. The other characters had their own role in Shu's development. Some of them had very frightening effects on Shu, and some of them were really frusterating to swallow down.
I really liked Inori for her emotionless attitude towards pretty much everything, and her voice in her signature song Euterpe, was pretty much the reason why I continued watching.
The first few episodes were really dull and unoriginal so I sometimes found myself falling asleep in front of the screen. DON'T let the boring beginning phase you. If you gave up on watching Guilty Crown, start where you left off and watch it till the end. Episode 8-22 have all of the interesting parts

overall this anime pwns in storyline, art, sound,and CHARACTERS. The music here is really epic ( just how i like it) and the fight scenes are really well animated. The story is really unique and it appeals to many. I mean who doesn't want to see people like King Arthur, Medusa, Hercules, etc etc etc in the real world? those are pretyt awesome people desho? Also please note the lack of extremely pathetic (sakura-like) characters. ^u^
