I actually had high hopes for Assassins Pride. The first episode was actually made really well made. It jumped right into the action showing off what this anime had to offer, it was a bit cliche, but that did not really matter all that much. It seemed like after that first episode, the anime seemed confused about where it wanted to go. The characters had really vague motivation and the plot was looking like it was going nowhere. It is very unfinished, seems rushed.

To be honest, the art is actually really good. The animation and sound were pretty good as well, but this ... is all that this anime can offer sadly.

I was very skeptical when seeing the high score that has been given for this anime. Throughout my years of watching anime, I have not found any enjoyable historical anime. But man.. Vinland Saga forced-fed me and told me to enjoy that shit and I cannot help but admit that I did. If you are approaching this with the mentality that "the chosen one" will put his/her enemies in their rightful place, you should get rid of it. In fact, this is the story of the opposite, where your protagonist has experienced the worst and doesn't recover from it. As stated previously, this anime ... is not your typical fantasy, Mr. Good Morals saves the day. This is a story of how a boy lost it all and the means to become the warrior his father once was. Your family is starving and one of your kids is sick because of the lack of resources and shelter you have? Too bad, the main character's group somehow plunder your shit from nothing. By all means, this doesn't make Thorfinn a bad character at all. You can't help but feel sorry for the guy because deep down, you know that he is a good kid, however, through all of the experiences and trauma that this kid has gone through, you can't even blame him for the shit that he does.

Overall, this anime has brought a nice new change of pace to anime as a whole. To be honest, I was kind of tired of the harem, save everyone type of story. I am not saying that those anime are terrible, but just how overused that type of story is. Vinland Saga is just the opposite of that and did an amazing job at it.

Please do not expect too much of this anime. In my opinion, this anime is purely story-based and is the introduction to everything in this series. The story is amazing. At first glance, it would seem that this anime was directed towards kids, but boy.. was I wrong. The anime's true form has taken me by surprise and I will never forget that feeling. The abyss, which is a deep hole in which people explore in order to find relics or answers is still a big mystery even when completing this anime. This anime makes a good ass story and hits you in the face ... with it.

The only problem that I have with this anime is the decision making with some of the characters and the scenes that would constantly raise the pedo-flag.

This anime started off really strong. The start may be really slow for others, but as you progress throughout Fire Force the better it gets... then crashes into oblivion.

The concept of religious firemen fighting zombies on fire with... fire is pretty unique and they executed it pretty well.

They take too much time to explain the plot of the story and often repeat some things that just become oversaturated.

During the Evangelist Arc, after they beat Rekka, it gets super weird. When Shinra gets his "new powers" the anime just turns a full 180 and they become demi-gods.

Characters such as Tamaki didn't really get ... a chance to show how useful they are. She is just there for fan service and gets beaten 10 seconds in each fight.

This anime is really good at first, but do not expect it to get better at the second half.

Because of how good the third season was, my expectations for the 4th season may be higher than has it be. SPOILERS!!





So far, this anime has been okay so far. The story has introduced some really interesting characters and has found a unique way to evolve the characters.

Minor:

... -It is very noticeable that the art is significantly different. In my opinion, it makes the characters a little less appealing and bland.
-Sugawara in the previous seasons has been caring and uplifting character throughout the series, but for some reason, he changes his personality completely for no reason at all.

Major:

- Kageyama reverts back into the "King" for no reason at all. Previously, it was a learning process that he works and communicates well with others, but then he loses it out of nowhere.
- Haikyuu's soundtracks are one of the most inspirational music in anime. It is played once out of 8 episodes. What is even more underwhelming is that it is played in probably in the most unimportant segment.


Haikyuu is still a good anime to watch. However, it didn't meet my expectations as it did with the previous seasons. So far, this season doesn't have the magic that it had in the past.
