Okay so this anime is not your regular isekai, it isnt just the same story chewed up and spit out, its actually pretty damn good!
Every character is very subversive, the protagonist isn't the hero, the female lead looks cute and all but she's derranged and the comedy relief more than anything, despite this she gets plenty of development from her life prior to the events of the anime, she's great, and then our other male lead which one would think would be the honorable, loyal, fearless guy, is actually quite unsure of himself which does not get as much screen time but he does grow
...
plenty when he does have some.
On top of this subversion, our male lead does not get some super OP skill that kills everyone in 1 hit or whatever, he gets healing magic, and the one who trains him is an absolute monster of a woman, nothing of what you'd expect a master female healer to be, its just... perfect, chefs kiss, the subversion just will not stop
Unfortunatly... the anime does have some issues with depicting some of the girls, almost like there was a mole in the writing team wanting to write an harem anime but EVERYONE else disagreed, so he has to make due with what he managed to conjure up... and it does not land.
And to add insult to injury, the sequel baiting is real with this one, they not only bait the sequel, they also commit a massive sin at the end of the last ep which i shall not spoil...
This really does have me completely stumped tho, the anime is really quite good when it isnt trying to get the 14 year olds attention with a butt on screen, which, it doesnt do often, but alas, it'll have to be an 8, could have been an easy 9, maybe a 10 if the story didn't bait a sequel this badly

It is a must watch even if you don't like gore!
I am not a big fan of gore as usually writers will forego any real characterization, good plot and actual horror elements and just use gore or shock value to fill that void, but this anime is just a masterpiece on how to use blood to elevate your writing.
The mystery is well built, the characters and their motivations feel uncannily realistic, the sound design is just perfect.
So for starters, the mystery is just a delight, the best mysteries happen when you're given 8 out of 10 pieces and it lies on you to tie up
...
the loose ends, you never feel like it is obvious yet never feel like it is so abstract that you might as well not think about it and just keep watching for the solution, while watching this anime I kept going back and forth to the solution to the mystery at hand, some I got wrong, some I got right, it was all very fun.
The characters just feel way too real, and I mean it, from the very start, the actions of the protagonist feel completely in line with how I think most people would react, and I believe that really helps the viewer want to keep on watching, this also elevates my prior point.
The sound design is perfect, often anime will have a bombastic opening or ending theme that kind of takes out out of it, but i must say, the OP is amazing and the ending theme is just perfectly somber, given how episodes end and having that ending theme kick in is quite the feeling.
The only thing that took me out of the experience some is that the deaths feel a bit "cartoonish", dare I say, very "anime" deaths, not sure if everyone is going to feel the same way about this than I do, but anyone with some degree of knowledge in physics and human biology will roll their eyes at most of the deaths and how unrealistic parts of them are, that being said, this IS a supernatural anime work, so you cant be too too harsh on it, part of the deaths being the way they are is the horror element, the deaths need to be bloody/gorey to create an impact on both the characters and the viewer, though, again, I do feel like they take you out of the story.
All that said, it's a 9/10, amazing first watch for someone who wants to get into gore/horror, just give it a fair shake and you'll love it!

This anime is nothing ground breaking, and it is pretty safe, but it is pretty good at what it does, it heavily relies on romance and it is more so targetted to men, but it doesnt rely on sexuality, no boob jokes to speak of, some more spicy scenes here and there but even those are pretty mild, anyone can enjoy this romance, both men and women.
On top of that, it might look like a harem as there sure are a lot of women orbiting our protagonist, but our protagonist is very steadfast on his loyalty and all the women around him respect that, there
...
are never jokes or plot points that hinge on women coming onto him for gain or attention, it is quite refreshing, it almost feels like a shojo in that regard.
The plot itself is a bit "all over the place" but it is "all over the place" within its own boundaries, as in, it does spread itself thin and you can tell that the plot is pretty subpar, first 7 eps are more so dedicated to one thing, and 8 thru to the 12th are (mainly) focused on other subjects, could have been better handled but the core is still there, it does not ever feel like you're being taken on a tour of a wholy different story.
The animation is good enough, nothing to write home about but I personally only noticed 1 animation mistake, usually these isekai types have a few more than that.
The OP is damn catchy, but the sound design in general is pretty generic, isekai magic has been done to death tho so no surprise there, we all know what a magic circle is supposed to sound like.
I dont understand how people are reviewing this anime so low tho, romance is supposed to feel a little cringy/fake when it isnt happening to you in specific and as far as romance goes, I much rather see some honest to goodness 90% romance with 10% horny over shows with 60% horny, 10% romance and 30% jiggly boobs catching the attention of the 15 year olds
Very safe watch, perfect watch for a couple to watch together, just the right amount of lovey dovey to want to grab hands, and just the wrong amount of horny to skip the anime and "netflix and chill" right into bed.
Could have easily been an 8 would the plot be more focused and the ending not so sequel baiting, but alas, it is a solid 7

All i have to say is "missed potential"
This anime is the most destiled version of having a very good idea then falling flat on your face on the execution of such
Minor spoilers ahead, be warned
So for starters this romance is very much based on normal gender roles for our male and female leads, which is not really a bad thing, but when you take into consideration that the protagonist is an OP protag cookie cutter and our female lead is a slave who's submissive to her master, what ends up happening is that you end up with a plot that is WAYYYY too predictable, by
...
the end of the show i must say, only 1 decision the female lead took surprised me, so yeah, plot gets boring and same-y
The female lead does end up having a lot of power, which would put a very interesting twist on the power dynamic between her and the male lead, as, she actually is a lot more powerful than our OP protag when unchained from her bdsm-bait fashionable submissive choker substitute... unfortunatly, nothing is ever done with this plot thread, nothing at all
The supporting characters are all idiots basically, they are all simply plot movers, they have 0 personality and when the writers do try to give them personality they just create plot points that never get build upon, the "best friend who's really into women" is just that, but then the plot needs him to be this one other thing so he loses that trait and gets the new one, and so on
The only 2 good characters are the last 2 who get introduced, one of them has a lot more meat and ends up even narrating the story some, but alas, that character is also just there cuz the writers wanted to write cutesy scenes from a 3rd person perpective and therefore, a "third person" was forcefully shoved into the narrative
As for the romance itself, its just diabetes, its so so so so sweet but without much substance... you know when you enter some discord server and there's that one guy and girl combo and the girl will keep spamming "uwu" at the guy in the public chat on in the voice call, and then the guy replies something disgustingly cringe too like "i know you need me kitten", that's what this anime is, it feels fake, its not even "wish fulfilment", it goes a step beyond that, this really is the kind of thing that if you watch with your new significant other that you just started dating 3 days ago, it will feel just right, but be in a relationship with anyone for anything over a month and you'll know this is wayyyy too much
Everything else was good enough, the animation was a tiny bit subpar but not unwatchable, but the issues with the plot just dont allow me to go anything over 6, a damn shame cuz honestly with the story they wanted to tell this could have been the most solid 9 or even 10 ive even given

Cute little show, does not do anything new with the story but it oozes cuteness
The relationships depicted in the show are quite exagerated, more so than most shows of its type, but the writers certainly had a way to go about it to make it all feel fun.
Not much else to say honestly, animation is pretty alright, characters are fun.
One gripe I do have with it is that the side characters hardly get explored, while the two main characters are a tiny bit too bland to really make you trully care about them, if the main couple was a bit less cliché or the side
...
characters were a little more explores the show would have benefited greatly.
That's about all, it's a cute watch and it will certaintly be an amazing 2nd monitor show when i get around to needing something on to focus on my work.

I might hate ecchi anime but i gotta say Prison School is quite the show, I was going to drop it when i realized it was an ecchi but i gave it a chance and boy am i glad i did.
The whole show just feels right, and although i wish some of the more obscene imageny was stepped down it was never really portraid as mindless "sexy girl good", everything was a caracature and exagerated on purpose, the principal's echo when he speaks alone shows how the show doesnt take itself too seriously.
The animation style is top notch, i especially like the bold blacks that
...
are used to represent the male characters when they are depressed or serious, and their cersur here and there, as for the female characters, eh, they look alright but the panty shots will have you rolling your eyes soon enough.
As for the story that is being told, i believe anime trully is the correct medium for it, nothing could ever match the energy this is going for.
I highly recommend this anime to anyone who's down to have a laugh at some ridiculous scenarios
It's an 8/10 for me

They are back at it again fellas, back to making one of the sweetest cutest "don't judge a book by its cover" anime of all time!
This season was a lot more focused on working with what was built on season 1 and less plot development, which is great!
Everything season 1 introduced either got used or developed, if season 3 closes out the plot threads that season 1 opened and season 2 refreshed then this anime is a 10/10 when it comes to overall plot pacing
Honestly I am not even sure what to say after this, if you liked season 1 you'll like season 2, if
...
you loved season 1 you'll love season 2, if you hated season 1 you'll hate season 2.
The CGI's beauty grows on you, but if you watched S1 then you know that, as for animation mistakes, I didnt notice anything too jaring, just a few inconsistences here and there, nothing major.
As for the characters, this show does an amazing job of keeping the plot bouncing between a few core characters, we get some extras here and there on this season but you don't even need to memorize their names and get a whole read on their personality, its great.
Such a good show, if you're a 12 year old who only watches anime for big boobies please watch S1 and S2 so you can turn into a normal human
9/10

Tragic what writers can do to a show.
I have season 1 a 9, partially cuz i liked the plot and saw potential in it, unfortunatly that potential was not realized on season 2...
This season is basically the exact same as season 1, the relationship is clearly a little deeper between our two protagonists but that's about it, its like you entered a reality where ep 1 of season 1 got a liiitttttllleeee more spicy the relationship developed just a tiny bit more because of it.
There is a lot more, how should i say it, "longing for skinship" on this season and that's about it for
...
the 'good'
Two of the new characters introduce add so little to the plot that you WILL forget about them till they show up again here and there, and the pet our main duo gets is basically just a little gag for some scenes, and that's about it...
As i stated and heavily implied on my review of the first season i really wanted the writers to either really pick up the "mystery" sub plot or just drop it entirely, well season 2 does neither, the OP actually does the diservice of emplying some sort of plot exploration of the subject but little to nothing happens, honestly it feels like we are missing 1, 2 maybe 3 episodes at the end of the season cuz there is just so many questions left in the air, not even sequel baiting, actually just nothing burgers for an ending, there is no payoff at the end for all the mystery, there is no cliffhanger, it fact, the show ends with a "from now on....... nothing will change" basically, its a bit ridiculous when analyzed.
That being said... it is what it is, more of the exact same, if you liked season 1 then there you go, 12 more episodes of the same, some character growth but not much, some new characters but not much (interesting at least), some new scenarios and challenges for the couple to deal with, more "we wanna fuck but we don't actually wanna fuck" some old season 1, 2.
I'd give it an 8 but because it didn't add anything of value to my experience with s1 then i have to bump it down to 7
Recommend if you wish S1 had 12 more eps

Get ready for wholesome cuz you are about to enter wholesomes'-vile with this anime!
Where do I even begin to praise this anime? The visuals are on point with the mood, i doubt any other style would make justice to the story being told, the story itself is a total treat and the pacing feels absolutely fantastic, even animation mistakes are funny, i know i laughed!
Starting from the top, the visuals are just amazing, they won't blow anyone away nor are they super stylized, but they fit so well, the blushing effects, the way characters are drawn, nobody looks over the top nor do they look
...
like the team put all their eggs into that one basket, they all look amazing, very pretty girls, even the MC has a cute charm to him (it was very effective)
As for the plot... well, the to put it short it was amazing, but if i am to be real blunt about it, the whole "she's not what she seems" plot thread is not only extremely obvious from the very start it is pretty poorly executed, but i doubt anyone's watching "Tonikaku Kawaii" for the mystery-undertone plot are they? So in the end it really just boils down to the core focus, the married life story and oh boy is it good, the writers could have taken the easy way out and make this a slice of life anime where nothing's connected and nobody ever learns anything, its just a reset buton at the end of every episode, but they didn't, and I am OH SO GLAD we live in this specific dimension, cuz this love story does not start strong and end strong, it starts weak, with the outsiders to this love doubting it and trying to foil it at times, and ends with this crazy love proving itself as true, and that true love is what really seals the deal with other people and has them accept our main duo.
When it comes to the pacing i wanted to bring special attention to it, even outside of the overarching story the pacing itself feels not only amazing, it feels real, feels like youre actually looking into a real relationship, neither character is perfect, both the male MC and the female MC make plenty of mistakes, and even with that in mind neither of them feel actually flawed, they feel real, and just like a real relationship has times where it speeds up and slows down, the show too had moments where one of the characters is more so off screen, the writers are not affraid to have our male MC be busy and focus on the female MC or the other way around, or even them both!
On a side note, it bugs me a little when the narration type changes on the fly, which happens on the "13th episode" which kinda isnt part of the first season but it still is...
As for the animation mistakes in specific... its just fun, i only actually noticed 2 animation mistakes, both of them made me not only laugh out loud but also screenshot it and send it to my friends (if you know you know)
And now the BONUS ROUND: dirty jokes!
Alright so, i know this show is meant for kids, but only about 40% of the dirty jokes land, the other 60% just don't really make it for actual adults who know how sex and such works, if you're at least 20-something most of the dirty jokes will make you roll your eyes at least a bit, BUT i wont be too harsh on this cuz i am fully aware that kids (me included when i was younger) really not only laugh at them but see themselves on them, being unconfortable on a womens underwear store is something a 15 year old finds extremely funny but... you know, as an adult that's just something that yknow, EXISTS, no harm being a male in one of those, other people wont really care that much, that sort of stuff
Overall it was a great show, i am incredibly torn between 8 and 9, the damn mystery subplot really sours the first season plus some few narration inconsistencies make me want to give it an 8, but honestly it is just fun. 9 it is

This anime is just really good, everyone's comparing it to spy x family so i won't delve into that in specific.
That being said the show is great, from start to finish every single episode is packed with content, not a dull moment with this one, yet it never feels overbearing.
We follow just a few characters which are meshed together in just the right way to make the story flow right at every step of the way.
The animation is very stylish, it shines brightest whenever our 2 protagonists are close to their little daughter as they both look quite rough and rugged from how their life
...
shaped them to be up to the events of the show, while the child is very much so the opposite, the contrast is not only expressed in narrative it is also expressed visually, amazing.
The action scenes feel action-y and fun, the funny scenes land, i laughed out loud at one of the last jokes on the last episode which really caught me by surprise, had to pause and all, really goes to show how good they are.
On top of all of this there is no sequel bait, and most importantly of all (and this caught me by surprise) there are no sexual undertones to the show, the two leads stay friends till the end (roommates), neither of them is the "player" type that pulls in fan service scenes, its overall very refreshing to watch a family-type comedy-type anime in which no character is being used as a device to put lewd-er scenes on screen, very cool.
9/10 would watch again, if they ever release a sequel im putting this at 7/10 out of spite for ruining my view on it
