I think this anime is marketed globally but leans towards Japanese marketing only, because this anime is a favorite in Japan but not globally and this anime in my opinion is 85% designed for people under 13 years old.
the reason:
1. When this anime was criticized badly, fans outside of Japan were not taken seriously. this anime doesn't get bad criticism by fans from Japan, but it can get bad criticism from outside fans, if this anime is concerned with global marketing, shouldn't it respond to all bad criticism from all fans like some anime that were criticized badly by foreign fans because of CGI problems
