Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (20/? chp)
This manga has left me with very mixed feelings. It has hints of something great wrapped in a great big pile of mediocrity.

The art is the typical "all manga looks the same" style. It borrows so many tropes from better anime. The story lacks urgency.

Yet there is a potential for great plot twists. Where did mc's powers come from? Does he have a weakness? Moral dilemmas? What are the villains' motivations? So many things could be explored. When I first saw the cover of this manga and read the tags, I was worried that it was going to be yaoi between the master and the apprentice. I don't mind yaoi, but I find the stories that center solely on the different ways the characters would end up sleeping together rather boring. I read the summary and the tags and thought: ok, a gay batman story, sounds fun. And that's basically what it is, except it has that cheap cliche vibe. If you have ever read some amateurish shonen ai/yaoi you'll know what I mean, plus the art is super generic and the japanesenes is almost abrasive. Also, saying that the main hero is like batman is an understatement, he is a single rich man with a kid and an old butler. All in all, if you are into batman you can see it as a hilarious parody and if you can't get enough of generic shonen ...
