Let first of all tell a little story. Im on the Internet on the website anime news network. i seen TTGL with a high score. On a anime forum i see people talking about this and say how much the like this. i also say "i never seen a ep of TTGL" then someone else quotes that and says "i hate you. until you watch TTGL". A also went here and i saw that TTGL is ranked as the best anime as all time. Then before i started to watch i said this on the forum "you guys overrated TTGL so much it makes GTA ... 4 look like nothing" when i finished i thought to my self "boy was i right"

I really dont see what TTGL has done to make everyone like it so god damn much. and dont believe the lie of this place is not the best anime ever made. Anyway lets start reviewing

Story: The year is XXXX on planet X which later turns out to be earth. Mankind lives underground in small villages fore some reason. Everyone seem to be fine with this but not everyone.Villages have no contact with the surface world or other villages. Because frequent earthquakes damage infrastructure, the villages must constantly extend deeper into the earth — individuals relegated to this task are known as diggers. In your story we follow Simon from Giha Village. A 14 year old kid who´s parents died in a earthquake. Should also mention hes the best driller in the village .One day he finds a drill key and decides to keep it. Not long after that we are introduced to Kamina. Kamina dreams of the surface world, which he once visited as a child, though he had too return home as he was too weak to survive there. So he get some crazy as plan to get to the surface and he needs Simon´s drill to help him with that. And it fails. Kamina goes to prison while Simon goes back to digging. He later find a face in the tunnel and the key he found reacts weird.Simon gets happy as hell and he watns to show Kamina the discovery, Simon is also caught by the village elder. Fortuitously, Kamina's punishment is interrupted by the collapse of the ceiling over Giha Village, as an enormous robot falls into the cavern. A girl named Yoko appears and tries to defeat the machine with a large rifle, but to no avail. Simon takes Kamina and Yoko to the "big face" he found earlier and discovers that the small drill key can be used to activate a small robot, named "Lagann", which he uses to destroy the invading robot and effectively break through to the surface. and then some stuff we dont care about and he get to know that the big robots are called Gunmen´s that are piloted by things called Beastmen. .We get to know that Beast men takes order from "the Hexer King" also the Best men kill any humans that get up to the surface. Kamina later get his one robot and then decided to go with Simon and defeat the king so that human can live on the ground.

And thats all the story im going to give you. Its not anything new and groundbreaking it just fucking standards. Moving on now it time fore characters

Simon: a 14 year old kid we dont care about. Yet he´s the main character. But he makes a good work out of it but he´s dont know how to stand up fore him self so he takes order from everyone. But somewhere after ep 5 something will happen and it will make him a better character. It will get tougher and he will become a good leader

Kamina: He´s a GAR. do i need to say anything more? well yes. He is extremely impulsive, His plans are rarely well thought-out, often relying solely on brute strength and determination to win, but for some strange reason or another, they seem to work most of the time. It is revealed that Kamina's impulsive confidence is mostly a show to give Simon the courage to act. He believes that in reality, all he can do is give Simon the motivation to "reach the heavens"; he couldn't do it himself. To Simon he is the symbol of courage and determination.

Yoko: A really hot big breasted girl. Like we haven't seen that before. anyway Yoko. Yoko is a really skilled with the a rifle that and she falls in love with a character later on in the story. She is useful to the story and ....well thats about it.

There are more character´s but these 3 are the main one. And yes the characters are great and all but its nothing new. It just stereotypical Shōnen characters.

Art: Now here is a thing that makes TTGL one of a kind. the animation. it new and it fells good watching it fore the 26 times as it was fore the first.

Sound: Now the soundtrack could have been better. i like the opening song and thats about it. There are some other tracks that i should mention like the one where they say "row row fight the power" but its hip hop and i hate hip hop.

Enjoyment: ok this might be what is making everyone like TTGL. Even after all these problems i mention it still enjoyably as hell. Sure the fight fell´s like the where taken from a Gundam but due too animation and sound it makes them really fucking good to watch. the characters are stereotypical but the way the act, talk and the relationships makes it fun to watch.

Overall: 8/10. Its full of stereotypical and soundtrack could have been better. But its still enjoyably as hell. Its fun to watch and the last fight is the only thing thats one of a kind in this anime. Also remember this is not the best anime ever made. There are better like Neon Genesis Evangelion, Monster or Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuiokuhen. How people can think that this anime is the best anime of all time will always be a mystery in my head

When i started Monster i dident have any high hopes. I first heard that if you liked Death Note you love monster. now i enjoyed death note a loot so i picked up Monster. I started by reading a few mangas volumes. But it was to much talking so i moved to the anime instead. Now that i`m finished with it i can say that i have a hard time breathing.

Story:

The story focuses on Kenzo Tenma a young Japanese doctor working at the Eisler Memorial Hospital in Düsseldorf during the 80s. He is a very skilled highly brain surgeon.However, Tenma grows increasingly dissatisfied ... with the political bias of the hospital for treating patients, and seizes his chance to change things after a strange massacre brings the twins Johan and Anna Liebert into his hospital. Johan has a gunshot wound to the head and Anna keeps muttering about killing, and Tenma decides to operate on Johan instead of a prominent politician who arrived afterwards. Johan is saved, but the politician dies. After this Kenzo loses hes social standing. He lost his promotion, further fiancée and not soon after that the twins escape. The tree top heads of the hospital are found dead the same night the twins escape. Tenma is then promoted to chef of surgeon. After that the story advances to nine years later.A known criminal is found on the street, hit by a car. He comes under the care of Dr. Tenma, who observes him muttering about a "Monster". Tenma extends kindness to that criminal, and thus the criminal begins to open up for Tenma.

Following his trail to the construction site of a half finished building near the hospital, he finds the man. The man, who has developed a sort of doctor-patient friendship with Dr. Tenma, warns him against coming closer, and pleads with him to run away. Tenma refuses, however, and the identity of the man holding the gun pointed at the criminal in the abandoned parking garage is revealed to be the boy whose life Tenma had saved nine years ago - Johan Liebert. Johan shoots the criminal, tells Tenma that he could never kill the man who had saved his life, and then walks off into the night while Tenma is still too shocked to stop him. Im not going to say anything more due too the story is so good damn awesome

Animation: I had some problems with the animations. Yes everything looks nice and all but i felt that there was some problems with the light and shadows at some places

Sound: The soundtrack is on the same level as Schindler`s List fore me. It has the right tone fore the right moment that makes the hair in your neck raise. My favorite is the opening that just sounds beautifully.

Character: After the story the character are the best part of this anime. They all seems so human. Like Ikari in Neon Genesis Evangelion. We got Kenzo the doctor who`s must fix hes past mistake. Runge( Lunge in english) is a BKA( German FBI) agent who´s scary with his hand yet very interesting. Johan is the most interesting yet evil character i ever seen in anything. This is not a joke if you want evil here you got it. The perfect villain he has the looks, evil and intelligence. (there are more character but belive me you keep watching the show fore just these 3)

Enjoyment: Some people might not enjoy this anime. If you want a dark story set in a realistic world with no supernatural what so ever you will enjoy this too 100% . If you dont want what i just mention see it anyway. This is a anime that you just have to see. i fell sorry fore people who wont watch this anime and the 4 last explosive episodes.

Battle Royale is the manga adaption of the Japanese novel. Writhe by Koushun Takami and Masayuki Taguchi the story follows a class in a alternative future that are forced to a Battle Royale.

Story.
The Stroy takes place in an alternate timeline - Japan is a police state, known as the Republic of Greater East Asia . Under the guise of a "study trip," a group of students from Shiroiwa Junior High Schoo in the fictional town of Shiroiwa are gassed on a bus. They awaken in a school on an isolated, evacuated island southwest of Shodoshima, in also Kagawa Prefecture. They learn that they ... have been placed in an event called The Program, also known as Battle Royale.

Art.
The Art is the manga is one of the best you will ever see. The characters looks scarily realistic and this Koushun spend ed a loot of time in details.

Character.
The character are also a great part of the manga. Some of the are so dark you cant believe they are humans are have the typical hero character. So character change later in the story other remain the same.

Enjoyment.
I really enjoyed this manga. The dark story, the awesome character and the gory makes it a manga you find hard to find on this planet. There is almost everything here both action, drama, friendship and rivalry. But it lacks a small procent of humor but it might be hard to put in humor in this kind of dark manga. If you ever seen the manga in a story buy it too see if you like it. And there is a high chance you will

Let Get one think straight. I have to be one of the few people in this planet who DONT like Melancholy of HZ. People blame it on that i watched in Chronologically order but how the hell was i suppose to know that i need to watch it on release order? If the people who made this anime where smart they make the chronologically order the release order or something like that. I also had a hard time liking the character is this anime. Yuki is just a rip off of Rey from NGE but stronger. Haruhi is all bossy. Mikuru has no spine but ... her cuteness forgives that. Cant really say anything bad about Kyon. The one i kind of liked was Itsuki. The story if this anime has something too do with a young girl having the power of God and that is also the problem is this anime. I sounds cool when you hear it but the problem is they dont use to that much. If they did i might have liked this anime more. Another think i noticed around the world and website is that people like the dance and music of this anime where much. Fore me Hare Hare Yuki is boring to watch and too listen( i enjoy the Lucky Star dance more and the music to the opening). And fore some strange reason when i listen to God Knows i just have to listen to Master of Puppets to get it out of my system. And the visuals kind of fell a little "standard".

Now that i told what i think about this anime there is a chance you will hate me and want to kill me. If so take a seat and wait in line
