This is not the usual anime. Whose destination where you find fun and enjoyment in watching, essentially for inexperienced people. It's more like a long serious novel you don't find in your everyday anime, which their purpose was to move adults emotionally-- in the case of telling a great story of how several characters grow in their minority to adulthood. The coming-of-age narrative "Sing Yesterday for Me" tells a story about a young man with little ambitions in life after college, who works at a convenience store in order to make a living.
Story: 9
"You have nothing to hurt people or to be hurt by.
...
You lie, you play along with what people say, and have a BS life." Beautiful, yet bittersweet emotions. The story can typically be summed up by announcing that it's regarding a love quadrangle. There are two young men and two young women, just springing out in life after school, and we accompany them as they try to determine who will marry who and what each will do as a profession. Not simple for them. The writing is very emotionally resonant It captures past adolescence so painfully well. There will be moments where characters will throw out a random line and without obtaining a significant opportunity out of it you imagine "Damn. That hits way too close to home." Each episode in this anime has been so deposited in substance it feels like you've gone through a complete season in just 15 minutes.
"You seem pretty evasive about life. Do you think you'd look dumb if you were a tryhard? You're just self-deprecating to give yourself a way out, aren't you? So that you won't get hurt, no matter where the chips fall."
Art: 8
Doga Kobo does a great job of animating from manga to anime. The art is given a fascinating feel to it. Every episode that I watch, I enjoy the scenery and the landscapes. What caught my attention the most, is that the animation made it worth watching. And you should too.
Sound: 8
The actors are pretty capable and no one does badly. The opening is really good. The ending is really good as well. The opening for sure is a song that I cannot skip. One day, it will be iconic. The ending theme song really caught my consideration.
Character: 9
Without the characters, this anime wouldn't be the same. The adult who feels raw, depressing emotion in his past adolescence.
Uozumi Rikuo: The main character who has little to no ambitions in life after graduating from college as a student. He has a love for photography. Working part-time at a convenience store to pay off his rent and supplies to maintain his health.
Enjoyment: 8
I enjoyed every part of the anime. By the end of the first episode, I was already 100% invested. This is an unconditionally exquisite production and I'm thoughtfully astounded that after all the cute girl shows that Doga Koba is known for, they've instantly attained their time to shine with depressed adults do existential crisis matters.
Overall: 8
There are still some flaws in this anime. This anime falls in its own spot. This is definitely not the best anime that I've personally seen, but this anime depicts such raw human emotions that any adult that enjoys anime would watch for sure. In summary, this is a remarkably descriptive depiction of earnest adolescent Japanese people as they pass through the most significant beginning degree of their experiences.
Do I recommend this anime? Yes, by all means, please watch this anime whenever you get the chance to.

Everything I find in this anime is very unexpectedly unique. Especially because the opening of this anime tends to get me excited for this anime. I have never been so happy to see this finally getting an anime. I’ve known this manga for almost two years now, and something like this could never ever bring tears of joy to my eyes as a person that enjoys and going off watching anime. I love every each and every individual in the anime. Something that could change your life as you want to become the tutor you sought to wish for, and now here’s your chance to
...
redeem yourself as the tutor.
Story: 10
It tends to get a little bit messy, but in the meantime, you expect it to get way better. It does get better, trust me on this. I love the story so much, it brings happiness and love to me as I watch this anime with my sibglings, knowing that there will be much more to come as I experience the two tsunderes, kuuderes, danderes, and then there’s a deredere. How much could this anime improve? I can tell you this. Anything that makes the story so special, is that Fuutarou goes off on his own time to help the five girls (that he should marry.) I suggest for Nino to marry him the most cause she’s the most adorably beautiful Tsundere that I have seen in a long time. Too bad the girls try to dominate their powers to make themselves one with Fuutarou. There’s no turning back on an anime so good.
Art: 10
Yes the art made me think, wow this anime is gonna be something beautiful. Turns out, I was right about that. I would be lying if I didn’t say it was good be good. The anime has made me think about tutoring 5 different girls. If that were to be possible. Something in the back of mind told me that, an anime as underrated as this should’ve been at the top. The art is very stunningly exquisite, as it fills my eyes with pure bliss, shining through the beautiful skies as I skim through the anime, knowing that there’s nothing wrong with the art. There is much more to come than just art!
Sound: 9
Okay, the opening of this is amazing. Just hearing the 5 girls harmonize the opening at the start is sex to my ears because it’s just that good. The voice acting and everything is on point, but I wish they could be slightly a bit better. The ending of this anime is great, but not as good as the opening. I suggest listening to both of the official soundtracks of this anime.
Character: 10
What else is there to say when you have a whole group of waifus to tutor? I think I’d die on the first day as soon as I meet a flock of beautiful girls who’s IQ’s are literally 50. Though, they are the cutest thing I have seen in a long time. I love all of the characters, they are changing a lot.
Uesugi Fuutarou:
A plain MC, that isn’t your typical and horny harem character. He takes part of tutoring the 5 girls to make sure they pass their exams. He is a very serious person whenever it comes to things like this. A person who will take charge, and is straightforward. He only tutors for money. He tends to get annoyed by the girls. What other things can you ask for? For financial reasons, he is told to tutor them.
Itsuki Nakano:
(AKA THE SEXIEST GIRL IN THE ANIME)
The girl who will be the one who seems to be talking down to you, but deep inside, she’s a girl with a beautiful yet compassionate personality. This girl will be the girl that will satisfy your dreams. The queen of gluttony, and seems to eat a lot. Don’t say that to her or she’ll kick your ass pretty hard. She’s a serious one, but she seems to break easily and weep her sorrows to you.
Nino Nakano:
(BEST TSUNDERE)
A chef, a person that works in the kitchen, the girl that will make sure you’re in good shape, the nurse and the so-called mother of the family. Despite her savage personality, she seems to be the Tsundere towards Fuutarou, though she seems to change a lot towards him, but what in her current situation?
Miku Nakano:
(TALK MORE)
Yes, the Kuudere of the anime is someone to protect. She’s really quiet, yet she has many things to share to you. She may seem to have no confidence, though she hides her true feelings. A silent girl couldn’t be more beautiful. Much like other quiet but cool character, Miku is quiet but after knowing Fuutarou, she became abit more talkative(especially about Japan's old histories). Although she ain't good at cooking, she's trying her hardest to be the perfect one for Fuutarou. She's definitely one of the girls that you'd like to have as a waifu
Ichika Nakano:
(Best big sister???)
She is a big sister figure, she will be there whenever you’re on your knees begging for help. Highly trusted, and the leader of confidence. She likes to tease, and she’s an actress! A person you’ll love a lot.
Lastly, but not least! The most energetic girl in the anime!
Yotsuba Nakano:
The deredere of the series, she tends to have been supporting Fuutarou whenever he needs help the most. The only girl that will accept Fuutarou is her. She is far by the best energetic girlfriend that you’d want!
Enjoyment: 10
I watch this anime with my friends, and or/siblings. I love this anime to the extent where I would love to see more of it. I have caught up with the manga in less than a few days. The anime overall, is something I’d love to watch again. I am currently re-reading the manga from scratch. I recommend this anime to all anime lovers.
Overall: 10
This anime has some flaws, but it’s an amazing anime, an amazing story, an amazing soundtrack, and amazing art! There is so much to this anime that you have to find out for yourself.

I think, and I believe that this anime has a lot of potential, and needs its improvements in different ways.
(This review contains light spoilers.)
Story: 8
The story could be better, but I was hoping for the main character to not be so clueless, I mean, she did come from a different world not knowing as much, I think she could've been improved if she was just a normal human being that looks up upon her life as a whole. I'm not saying that it's bad, or it's just downright stupid. I'm saying this like how I reflect upon the story, and how much I would
...
love to reflect upon it many more times. This show has tons of potential, and I think that there is very little for them to improve on. I feel like they should've made Hitomi teleport somewhere else instead of the dudes house. Don't you think that's a little bit weird? (Yuito)
(Hitomi is waifu quality, and she can be. am i right or am i wrong?)
Art: 10
Wow, never have I seen such exquisite art on my laptop screen. This kind of art is something that they were very dedicated by putting together a sequential series, or perhaps a showcase of very many talented artists in one show. After watching the first few episodes, I believe that this anime makes very flawless art in many different aspects that I could never ever imagine of as myself, a human being. (or filthy weeb trash.) Getting to the point, the abstract art that you've seen today, which is from this anime, is something to behold and to get together with your friends, eating popcorn as you stare in awe of this stupendous art.
(Maybe I'm saying too much?)
Sound: 8
I love the opening theme song so much, and I think that makes me think about how it would better if Yuito were to be drawing the whole entire opening and ending as time flows in the full opening track. The ending as well could well, made from magic from Hitomi. Although she isn't a professional at magic, I think she would have the courage to do that and impress the others that watch the anime. The ending theme song makes me sad, and the sadness I feel is the happiness that gives me to enjoy the anime. I hope for this anime to make more better music. If you haven't listened to the full OP, then I highly suggest it. Also, be the one weeb that downloads and saves it to their library for the next 5 years. (that's me)
Character: 9
Hitomi is just a weird ass girl that doesn't know much about reality. She makes magic out of thin air, trying to impress Yuito. (Let's be real here, she is a waifu, and I think that every waifu is cute when they're just dumb out of their mind.)
Yuito should've went home earlier, and made sure Hitomi was safe and sound in her house to carry out his "deeds." (˵ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°˵)
Kohaku is just another waifu that needs to be noticed in the anime. (waifus are deliciou- i mean what?)
All of the characters are just side characters. You don't need to worry about them rather than Yuito and Hitomi. (I ship them so hard. But I hope this won't be like there's romance on the last episode cause that's pretty dumb if you ask me.)
Enjoyment: 10
I was stumbling upon the fall anime list and saw this. I thought this would have a male lead, but it's always nice to have a woman as beautiful as Hitomi lead the show as the female lead. Though, I thought it was pretty tragic for her grandmother to cast her away from her, to a whole new parallel world, or maybe was it just on the other side of world? Who knows? But getting to the important part, I was just sitting down in my chair with my laptop open. I was watching this. Never have I regretted saying: "This show is gonna be terrible." Even though a show like this will amaze you by how talented the art that they show us, is something that we should be praising for. I have high hopes for this anime to improve as time passes by.
Overall: 9
I gotta admit, for a show this high for my ratings is something I would just wish for more episodes by going on my knees, crying and begging for more seasons as the future comes by. But you know the drill, once new anime has been aired, you know to not get so sad about something that's just on a screen. This is no more than just an ordinary screen, it's beautiful art in the making. I hope for the best for this anime!
