I havent done anyting really time consuming in the past couple of months and I still have a huge pile of anime to watch. When you want to watch so many shows you never really catch up. Sometimes I feel like I have a serious problem, especially when I look at my wall of anime, manga and figures.
I just downloaded AIM, if you ever want to chat, message me and Ill give you the screen name. Its way different than it was last time I used it.

Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiny are great. In my opinion they are the perfect combination of shonen and shoujo. There is action, character development, romance, complex plot, and great animation. You should defintiely try to watch it sometime.

Hmmm... Fullmetal Alchemist is a definite for me too. Thats the only one that sounds really great for the season. I also plan on watching the first couple episodes of K-ON, Hatsukoi Limited, Queens Blade, 07-Ghost, Phantom, and Pandora Hearts. Some seem like they might have promise and some sound kindof hopeless but sometimes I end up regretting not trying a show later so Im gonna give em all a chance.
I have all of season one of gundam 00 downlaoded and am in the process of downloading season two. When its finished im gonna watch it all together.
I really want to see that Gundam Seed Destiny Movie that was supposed to come out this year, but it got delayed because the creator get really sick.

Yeah here A-kon is the last weekend in may, its sucks that you wont be able to go to the big con near you, the bigger the better with cons.
And I know what you mean about the otaku singles. As far as Im concerned MAL could be used to find any kind of relationships. Thats how people use myspace. Only MAL is better for otaku becuase its easier to find people with similar interests.

Im more of a spectator of cosplay. If I did it I would have to make it perfect, just becuase that the way I am. I would probably take me forever to make a costume up t my standerds. I hate it when people just throw on the wig and dont brush it.
If I ever did it would probably be something cliche like lacus clyne, i wear glasses too but I cant see fine without them if im not driving.
Ive never gone to a con alone before, I always used to go with my ex and his friends. They are the ones that introduced me to anime. But we broke up last year so I dont plan on going this year. I think it is worth it to go alone but it is much more fun to have someone with you. If you go you should go for more than one day and each time ive gone someone in the group gets a hotel room there. Its great to do that becuase sometimes you really need a break and they show events like the cosplay contest on the hotels tv station.

Lets see...there is a merchant room for businesses to set up stands and sell merchandise, not just anime or manga related, they have music for japan and pop culture related merch like gloomy bear(which I love). They have raves at night (not my knid of thing though so Ive never been). There are classes on drawing manga and people bring their own art for auction. Sometimes there is some really good stuff. there are anime screenings and voice actors come and give autographs. There is usually a japanese singer who gives a concert. There is a cosplay contest and people who just wear cosplay for the fun of it. That is my favorite part, some people do a really good job. It last all weekend and the hotel is always fully booked with people staying there for the whole con. I havent looked to see who the guests they have so far this year are because Im not going but there are always tons of really well known people from writers, directors, singers, artists to voice actors. Cons are tons of fun for an otaku.

See, those are all the kinds of things i want to try. If i actually tried i could probably find a place like that around here. I live right in between dallas and fort worth so it a major metroplex. One of the biggest anime conventions in the country is in dallas every year. A-kon, its awesome ive gone the last four years and it totally outdoes everything about any other con ive been to.

It will probably be a couple of years before I get to go. There are lots of places a want to go. Id like to see tokyo, kyoto, okinawa, hokkaido. Id definitely wanna go to a hot spring and see lots of shrines. Staying somewhere with traditional japanese style like the sliding paper doors and tatami would be so cool. I love older japanese culture. Ohh and I would try all different kinds of food like takiyaki and sushi. I love sushi (not sashimi though) so eating it in japan would be great. Obviously akihabara would be a stop too.

Kuroshitsuji is ok when it is serious. About half of the episodes are just nonsense, which is pretty normall i guess. Ive definately seen worse (akane iro no somaru saka for expample). When the plot is actually developing I think its pretty good. Im gonna watch the finale when it finishes downloading. The ending will tell whether it was worth it or not.
I really want to learn japanese. My school doesnt offer it and I would rather take it in a class with ofther people for the experience than with a program or online. Once I finally get around to graduating my present from my mom is gonna be a trip to Japan. I mean i know a lot of words and phrases but I could never put a sentece together and know nothing about kanji. I wonder if rossetta stone is any good, I might end up having so settle for something like that.
Do I bother you by asking you questions all the time? I mean I seem to write a lot of coments to you lol.
Misaki-san Mar 28, 2009 2:21 PM
That is really funny that you downlaod anime but wont download music. Hey since your learning japanese do you ever watch raws or do you just watch fansubs?
I listen to my ipod constantly, it always calms me down when Im upset or just want to relax. I have a playlist of anime OST music on there that is going on 90 tracks by now. My favorites change all the time but right now I cant stop listening to the last ending of toradora "Orange" and the second ending for kuroshitsuji "Lacrimosa". I have "style" on there too, its a good song. I have tons of stuff from macross frontier and gundam seed destiny.
By the way, I am totally loving nodame cantabile so far. I am gonna start raading the manga. The ending themes are great too, Ive been meaning to downlaod them. Watching that show makes me want to learn how to play an istrument. Its cool you actually can learn how to play some of those songs. I rode horses when I was younger, I didnt have the motivation to practive music.
Misaki-san Mar 27, 2009 10:17 PM
Please, anyone would have been affected by something like that, man or not, unless they were emotionaly screwed up. It makes you more of a man for admitting you liked it ;).
Hey do you ever download songs from anime? Ive really been getting into that lately. I just can't stop listening to some of the songs.
Misaki-san Mar 27, 2009 10:54 AM
For some reason yaoi and yuri dont bother me. If its with real people though yaoi would totally gross me out. And Im not really into it anyway, theres just a couple that I like.
About Toradora they part where Taiga and Ryuuji kiss is my favorite lol, but I do agree that it was a little too open ended. I would have liked to see what the futute held for everyone a little bit more concretely.
Misaki-san Mar 26, 2009 7:19 PM
What was you opinion on the Toradora finale? I loved it. It wasn't perfect but in most anime romance doesnt develop very much (thats why manga is better I suppose) so I thought it turned out really well. I also love shoujo (being a girl and all) so you probably werent as excited about how it went as I was, but tell me what you thought.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
