One of the most anticipated animes this summer, Charlotte was introduced as an "average" anime to me and probably other people. Nonetheless, this original anime written by Maeda Jun (who also wrote Angel Beats! and Clannad) in collaboration with P.A. Works (who produced AB!) ended on a high note, but not as high as those two.
Yu Otosaka has a resemblance with Seiya Kanie from AmaBuri (they have this power with their eyes, and they're voiced by Kouki Uchiyama, so yeah, similarities) and his character changed over the course of the story. He is, if not, one of the best male main characters of the

season and you can see his character development, from being a normal to a psychotic then back to normal, and badass. I wouldn't say that these characters are relatable though, but they have this personality that is lovable, especially Tomori Nao's. What I liked more about this anime is that almost every character has a flashback (Tomori, Yu, Ayu, Shun, Kumagami, etc.).
Bravely You and Yake Ochinai Tsubasa adds a feelsy tone to the anime. I won't comment that much on art style since every anime's art style is the same, but there are some that stand out, but I'd say it's good. So, yeah, 8 is the score for art.
Now, here's where I'm going to discuss a lot: PLOT. The plot is a rollercoaster ride for me. Not to the point that the story is getting messy, but some episodes (or maybe the series as a whole) felt rushed. As of now, I finished watching the series and the last ep was rushed. I don't know for you guys, but it seemed that parts of the episode can be used in about 4-5 episodes or so. However, it still ended on a high note. Yu and Nao's relationship is too cute. There are a lot of plot twists on the story, and a lot of flashbacks. The first five episodes are pure introduction, and they'll tell us how they can change the story as a whole. And, at the first episode itself, there's already a plot twist. Maeda Jun toyed with my emotions once again, some episodes are comedic, some episodes are feelsy.
Overall, Charlotte is not good, but it's not bad either. Episode 7 was the best episode of the anime and the episode where they met the blind singer. I thought everything would go well, but for me it somewhat went downhill since episode 11 (though there are still some feels), but it's an ok series. It's average at best, pretty rushed, but again, it's enjoyable.
