While I'm not a fan of this genre, I get that some people just want something they can turn their brain off to and enjoy some easy entertainment. However this anime, I think, really falls short on that. I admit that some of the comedy is lost in translation, but simple gags fall extremely short and the main character becomes very annoying.
To compare it with something like Aho-Girl, at least in that anime the show and cast are semi-regularly annoyed by the main character. The viewer doesn't feel so alone with their feelings of frustration with the main star. Shikanoko however, faces no challenges except
...
from one character in futility. She gets free pass on all her crazy antics, a lot of which makes no sense and fall under "loud is funny" or "random is funny". This is the right brain rot for second monitor viewing experience.
Honestly this show feels like a glorified tourist ad, and a chance for animators to go wild. There are quite a lot of impressive animation in this show. Which for the first 2 episodes its tolerable, but as a whole season it overstays its welcome.

Story - 8
Story starts off big and strong, with the whole extended cast and new locations. But then switches less than halfway in for something similar to a 1 hour special episode. Even more so since many elements were ripped off from previous episodes. (Like a murder mystery on the same cruise ship, again.) It wasn't so bad, but rather a bit of a let down. Both the action and case solving were neither outstanding.
Art - 9
Superb and gorgeous. A bit of CG thrown in as well, but I give credit for effort. Quality noticeably drops towards the end but otherwise great.
Sound - 8
The usual
...
soundtrack plus more. Voice acting for the main cast is great, but for others its inconsistent. Stand out was a Japanese VA trying to act as a Chinese character, and failing to speak a word of fluent Mandarin.
Character - 9
Star of the show. Great character focus that extends past the main roster. Made even more interesting since Kaitou Kid is involved, and could be disguised as anyone. And the show definitely puts a lot of red herrings to keep you guessing.
Enjoyment - 8
Had more than enough to keep me invested and interested. Enjoyed it start to finish.
Overall - 8
Very good, much better than the previous movie, and a worthy successor to the first movie. Although it may feel like a glorified 1 hour special, it has plenty of art and characters to keep it going.

"Anime is trash, and so am I" - Socrates.
Let's address the elephant in the room, if you're absolutely not comfortable with incest, go right ahead and ignore this. No judgement. I only watched this because I have grey borders and a deadly curiosity.
Eromanga-sensei 's greatest strength is it's characters., ignoring the incest traits. In fact, I quite enjoyed the characters especially since the secondary characters really stole the show. Strongly fulfilling the 'entertainment' part of the show.
The story is alright, mostly serving as a means to watch the characters at their most interesting. Production wise, everything is good from art to sound.
To summarise, Eromanga-sensei is
...
an entertaining show with good characters and good production. If you can ignore the incest part of it.

TLDR: A good show if you have the time and patience.
For me, Angel Beats! can be summarized as: "What's the hook?"
For shows such as this, there's always a hook to get you excited for the next episode. Unfortunately for Angel Beats!, this is sorely lacking in the first 3 episodes. A simple test that Angel Beats! fails, is the "Would I watch this while it was airing?". It's only because of the convenience we have now that I watched this to the end, I honestly would have dropped this show if I had to wait a week for each episode.
In addition, the first half
...
of the show is messy, and the second half rushed. For example, a character is introduced and then killed off in the same episode, but the cast are hardly affected by this and the show heavily implies that this is not of concern. But then a few episodes later, death becomes of concern again because the plot demands it as it's the only way the show knows to raise tension. And at the end of that episode, it goes back to normal.
The art and sound is outstanding, the real consistent attraction of the show.
The show has a lot of great moments, and does get better towards the end. But the messy start and rush to the end left me not entirely satisfied nor entertained. If felt like the show hinged to much on its ending phase and was too ambitious with what it could do with only 13 episodes.

Story - 9
Excellent pacing with high stakes and lots of content. The case itself has a little bit for the viewers to figure out for themselves, but the action is the real star of the show. Story feels solid from start to finish.
Art - 8
Same style, higher quality and effort.
Sound - 8
Great timing and presence from start to finish.
Character - 8
...
Not a whole lot of development, but we got to see the characters interact a lot and very satisfyingly too. Also got a good dose of the Ran & Shinichi romance.
Enjoyment - 9
Good, clean fun. Especially for those not really into/familiar the TV series, so watching with others is great.
Overall - 8
Feels like a real movie, and friendly to outsiders of the series. May be a bit too action orientated for some, but the balance is just right for me. Lots of mystery, tension and danger from start to finish. A very good movie.

Story - 7
A good premise with a lot of mystery and tension. Unfortunately there are way too many chunks of slow pacing, coupled with awkward expositions, that made the movie feel like it was dragging for time. Personally I disliked the lack of viewer involvement in solving this case, especially since the action part failed to fill the void.
Art - 5
Definitely higher in quality compared to the TV series, but a noticeable drop from the previous movie and at times unfaithful to the style. For example in the chase scenes, Conan starts and stops jarringly with no acceleration or deceleration. Style wise, Inspector Megure is
...
way more expressive to the point it's beyond comical.
Sound - 2
Definitely the biggest weakness of this movie. With an already poor pacing, the painfully obvious lack of sound other than dialogue made the film feel incredibly empty and dull. There were many occasions where the typical BGM or SE were missing, like "Conan's theme" during the chase scene, "Ran's theme" during the neutral parts and so on.
Character - 8
This is the only reason to watch this movie. A great deal of backstory is revealed on Kogoro Mouri and his wife, which also affects Ran. This was the first real time we see Kogoro Mouri in a different light other than comical, and even come to have some respect for him. We also see Ran's main motive in life, bringing her parents back together.
Enjoyment - 6
Has it's moments, definitely some great comedy here and there. The build up and pay-off is decent.
Overall - 6
It does still have the Conan charm from the TV series and then some. But it is noticeably lacking in certain areas especially in comparison to the previous movie. Still great to watch for the characters, their history and development.
