This show is timeless. Despite the primitive animation (in comparison to 20 years of animation improvement) this show still packs a huge punch (literally). Amazing battles! The show also keeps good tabs on "power levels" (which many battle anime ignore and instead just blow shit up every battle). In addition to the great battles, the characters are amazing. The main character always has funny smart-ass remarks and is a lovable (anti)hero. He is very badass. This show has great and smart dialogue and enough sarcastic jokes to entertain one's self. The creator does a great job of keeping the story going for it all connects

Definitely not suitable meant for children, though many of the sex jokes are subtly told. Quite the wacky show.
Despite its randomness and little plot, the show keeps up a good pace and stimulates enjoyment (for the most part). Despite its "power-puff girl"-like art, the authentic characters and wacky visuals give this show its own charm that makes it memorable. There is something there about this anime that (like not many other anime) makes this anime find its own special place in my heart. Perhaps it is due to its uniqueness and how it is well portrayed. An anime that shows its true colors towards the end of the series; and those colors are vibrant and true. In many ways did I find this anime to be average in terms of entertainment. However, the depth to the characters are what the show portrays quite well, for I also believe that was the major purpose of this anime. So please do not expect any X's or O's.
It is worth watching until the end for only then may one fully appreciate what this anime was about, since that's how I feel being that I finished the series just now. |
