Amazing reading!
It's a little short, which makes things feel a little bit rushed during several points of the story, but it is a truly beautiful story nevertheless.
It's very interesting to watch the growth of the two main characters - Praha (the robot) and her friend Chika (a child she meets at the beginning). Chika's growth is very visible, of course, being human as she ages it is obvious. The manga spans a total of about 23 years, give or take. changes - Her body is always that of a 17 year old girl, but she definitely improves over time.
The scientists behind the project are a little bit annoying, they seem to interfere a little too much, which in a way makes sense. Praha does belong to them, but it seems in bad taste at some points. They are not shown much anyways.
In conclusion, it's a quick read and I highly recommend it if you like other robot manga, but if you do then I would strongly advise that you should probably find a better translation than the no-name version I read the first time around. The translation group CXC has a much better version that I discovered afterwards.
