My personal scoring metric is mostly established by asking myself the question "how ashamed would I be to recommend this to a non-anime watcher"
A lot of anime can be fairly inpenetrable to the uncultured.
10/10 are anime that I would recommend to basically anyone, and are complete and without obvious flaw. You dont have to be into xyz trope or genre to like these, they're just flatly good and classics.
9/10 anime are mostly anime that would be 10/10 but have a flaw or are incomplete. Berserk for instance is great but is an incomplete adaptation, I would have to warn someone that theyre watching something that was never finished.
8/10 and 7/10 anime are mostly ones that are good but not excellent, or anime that I would recommend only based on their genre. IE MHA is good for people who like shonen, but probably wouldnt be very interesting for anyone else.
6/10 are either anime that I would only recommend for a specific reason, or anime that are watchable but have a serious flaw. Misfit of demon king academy for instance has some of the best memes ever, but the uncultured dont always know how to watch something for the memes. On the other hand Elfen Lied is a classic, but you might not want to show your grandmother something with that much gore and incest.
5/10 are things that I watched and thought had good qualities, but I generally wouldnt recommend.
4/10 tend to be things that I watched, and maybe even had things I liked, but committed serious enough sins that I would call them bad and perhaps actively recommend against watching.
3-2/10 anything with few, if any, redeeming qualities. Probably ero-trash or overly derivative isekai or shonen garbo. Degen.
1/10 It was a crime to make this

Im out here trying to enjoy anime, not forcing myself to watch things and then trash on it. That's what I woud like to call degeneracy.
