Can't agree more about that.
I think it's awesome addition to the main serial. Beside from awesome story I was pretty impressed by the level of technologies. You know, they using new robots, artificial respiration device for sick boy, they have electric power transmission and many engineers, who works on power station. It gave me impression of growing civilisation. I was very glad to see that, because original serial gave opposite impression, like people slowly goes to the primeval condition, when legacy technologies stop functioning.

140 episodes. Still going. It may or may not be ending this season, since it's only a few chapters away from catching up to the manga.
