Will you help me create the perfect love situation???
Actually you have no choice but to help me
But with a twist..
we dont actually have any boys at our school and its strictly an all girls school
So the Story??
Well their isnt much of a story except that the girls try to create the perfect situation to ensure 100% romance! but fail miserably...
Actually the Yuri is more strong than the normal romance(which I LOVED!)
But half way through they actually start with the normal Romance which is Absolutely Hilarious(and i ship Maki x Yan!)
...
The Art and Animation??
Loved it!
Sound??
Really liked the OP, its catchy and perfectly fits the anime theme
Liked the ED as well!
As for the OSTs....well I dont really remember them so i guess they didnt stand out much
Characters??
Ah yes, the characters
so who have we got?
Maki, an honor student on the exterior, an alien on the interior. Literally tries to recreate any Love Advice you give her
has cute moments too and wayyyy too much energy
Riko, the wild one who wants to be the exact opposite of a tomboy. As soon as she enters the classroom everyone starts chanting her name in a ritualistic tone.
has her share of cute moments too
Sayori, the ruthless, merciless, calculative, manipulative, deceptive, smart, tall, money loving machine who likes to tease everyone.Anything else that I need to add?? Oh she has a boyfriend too who she basically doesnt give a damn about
Enomoto, believes that she's a princess, heavy eyebrows(which looks cute on her just like Mugi), sugar daddy, sugar brother, in love with the Makio(Maki Ver 2.0), pretty cute. Basically a tsundere
Suzune, midget....seriously tinyass midget. pretty insecure
so you may be wondering that their are no boys??
actually their are 2
first Nagio
yea pretty average and lame guy
next Yan my man!(actually his real name is Ikezawa)
seriously since when did Katsuragi Keima stopped playing games and started taking studies seriously and whats he doing in Love Lab??
that meeting between Yan and Maki is just <3
I SHIP EM!
honor students, discipline, presidents, role models, smart
they are perfect for each other
Enjoyment?? Oh boy the comedy in this anime has got be my favorite of all time
Like just look at the toast scene if you dont believe me
actually every scene including maki is hilarious
Final verdict:
Watch it if you love comedy such as Angel Beats or ReLife!
though dont expect much romance

Lets get right into it
Starting off with the Story:
Its the era of Industrial Revolution in the Great Britain, The Royal Family is on the verge of collapsing and several people want to rule the Kingdom
All kind of unjust is on the rise
Classism, Poverty, Violence, Corruption, Employee Exploitation, Political Unrest, Illegal Immigrations, Power Abuse etc
Our main cast is working as Spies for the IA and have to handle requests from the Top
Each Episode a different case is taken up ranging from assassinations to simply helping one cross the border
Steampunked, 1970s theme, Old Britain, Revolvers and Mechanical Pistols, Jazz Music and all that good old stuff
I have
...
always been interested in topics like these revolving around Politics & Economics, Bringing down the unjust people who control and rule us, debating right and wrong
So naturally I would like it, I mean its the reason why I decided to watch this anime
in the first place(jk it was the yuri between charlotte & ange that got me in)
Art & Animation:
Amazing...Simply Amazing and Beautiful
I mean just watch the PV and see for yourself
The fight scenes felt real with no Unreal BS where Physics didnt seem to exist
Character Design and London Artwork was BEAUTIFUL
Animation blended in smoothly with no weird rendering or glitched out Objects
Art & Animation is one of the Things that really matters to me...
If an anime has an amazing story or even characters but the Art & Animation is horrible, I wont bother watching it.. I know Im missing out on something amazing but I simply dont want to watch something unappealing to the eyes in the 21st Century
Sound:
Once again Amazing!
Dont believe me, Go watch the first 30 seconds of Episode 1
Probably one of my favorite anime prologue scene, kinda reminds me of the prologue scene of Koi to Chocolate to Senkyou I mean The music and setting gave off a similar vibe.
This would also clear up any of your doubts on the art & animation
Oh and the goddess Yuki Kajiura is also on board...so yea
Dont know who she is well then ever heard OSTs of Fate Zero or Garden of Sinners or perhaps Madoka Magica?? Yea she is the creator
Dont even get me started on the OP Song
Man that song gave off Persona 5 Vibes with its jazz musical strokes and pumped up theme. I loved it all!
It should've won the 2018 Crunchyroll anime op award where it was a nominee
The lyrics lined up perfectly with the theme of the anime and the character portrayals
That ED song was catchy as well
Character:
So Who do we have on board?
First A merciless and emotionless girl who is a perfect spy and has her heart closed off to everyone else except for a certain someone..I WONDER WHY IS THAT SOO??? well its a spoiler
Next a care free girl who seems to be an adult and a heavy drinker who decides to disguise herself as a highschool student at the most prestigious school where the princess studies
Then we have A Japanese girl who seems like a midget but is deadly and finds the western lifestyle to be lazy and unethical
Another midget girl who seems to be nurtured her whole life without a single exposure to the unjust of the world
and finally the princess, a blonde and beautiful girl who seems to care about her people and is good at negotiating deals and seems to handle stress and pressure well or at least thats what it looks like on the surface
Lets talk about the merciless girl, Ange
The way she disguises herself and acts according to the situation at hand is just brilliant
At School She introduces herself as the Shy, Lousy and kind girl just to create
an image of her being someone easy to get along with who has no experience or expertise in combat or whatsoever
that way she would be underestimated and overlooked, making her tasks alot easier as the opponents are in for a big surprise.
Then at other occasions where she needs to avoid unnecessary attention and questioning, she disguises herself as a hard-to-get-along-with delinquent with an attitude as to making sure no one gets near her and just leaves her be.
Seriously she is one hell of a girl with amazing skills and tactics. She doesnt care about anyone or anything unless its the certain someone.
Sadly Ange was exposed to this path from a young age due to certain incidents that occurred during her childhood with long lasting after effects not just to her but to someone else as well who had no involvement in any of the events and got caught up in it all which Ange believes is her fault and lives under the guilt of it every single day
Any further discussion than that would result in heavy spoilers
I have to say Her VA did an Amazing job of portraying her
At first I was for sure it would be some big VA due to how excellently the voice acting was handled but it turned out to be someone not well known. Props to Ayaka Imamura(VA of Ange) and Sekina Akira(VA of Charlotte the princess) for doing an EXCELLENT job portraying their respective characters.
Now I would like to talk about the Princess as well since her character is Pretty Interesting but that would result in spoilers so to summarize it without giving any spoilers, Her character is More than what Meets the Eye..She's one Hell of a Princess
Of course their are others as well but that would make this review 5 times more longer and would contain spoilers
All in all, the cast was Amazing and Badass with well execution and really enjoyable to watch.
The ending was a cliffhanger, but 6 movies have been announced to be released a few months from now which should be enough to cover up the remaining story.
Final Verdict
Should you Watch this Anime??
REGARDLESS of what your tastes are, I Believe everyone should give this anime a try
Just Watch the first episode.
It might have something in it for you.

I was fooled by the synopsis...
Based on the synopsis I(and probably others as well) thought the anime would revolve around Sasami's(main character) struggles to fit in with society and her shut-in NEET life.
For the first few the episodes the anime did deliver this and i was really enjoying it until the mythological/supernatural element started to kick in which I REALLY WASNT expecting in such a context.
Usually the latter half of the episodes would be about supernatural/Japanese god stuff.
From what i have seen of Studio SHAFT , they really like to confuse their viewers by adding the most random stuff in their episodes or have
...
a weirdly interesting sequence of frames that doesn't make much sense and isn't supposed to either and I thought the same thing was happening in this series as well which it was Until like some episodes later their was actually a story behind the whole thing....
I really wasn't taking any of it seriously until like half way through the anime.
I'm not really a fan of Japanese gods and all that stuff so it did really bore me and the second half was all about it.
Even the story line didn't make much sense. I was very close to dropping this anime when the whole mother-daughter thing started to happen but somehow managed to watch the whole of it and the ending was pretty predictable.
But i still really enjoyed the NEET part of the story as well as the yuri between Sasami and Kagami.I guess that's why i gave it a 7 and not a 4 or a 5.
I did like the art and animation since its Studio SHAFT and the main cast was pretty interesting as well.Just the supernatural storyline didn't fit in.
Tbh I'm not sure if you'll like this anime even if you are a fan of all the Japanese mythology and gods because the context of it was kinda stupid (which might be a spoiler).
If i had the chance to rewatch it (which i probably wouldn't) i would only watch the first 3-4 episodes and the sasami x kagami episode

Anyone who has watched Mushishi can agree that it is definitely a unique anime as it has no single storyline or whatsoever yet it still manages to take the #1 spot, at least for me, for its soothing and pleasant scenarios.
Story:9/10
To put it simply, mushishi's storyline is divided into 26 parts(each per ep) each having its own unique story.Although in each episode, a new problem arises, the concept and methods behind getting them solved are somehow related to one another since in every episode we get a glimpse of a new mushi.Thats about it.Now i know some may find this to be boring and lame,
...
which might be true if you cant handle slow pace anime since this would probably be the slowest of them all, but if you are someone who wants an anime with something unique and unusual to offer that you havent seen previously in any other anime(and arguably wont see in the future as with the direction anime is currently heading towards) then mushishi is a must watch for you.Tho let me warn you must be ready to endure scenes where nature describes the atmosphere and the situation.
Art and Animation:9/10
For an anime which came out in 2007, mushishi has quite a beautiful animation and as nature plays a big role in this anime, the scenes surrounding the beauty of nature are something to look forward to as they are really heartwarming and relaxing to just look at.But beware since every episode a new character is involved, some character designs might look too similar to what you have seen in a previous episode.
Sound:10/10
The soundtracks in mushishi fit right in with the atmosphere of the incident and they can vary from being really deep to emotional to soothing.Opening song was also alright whereas the ending song was different in every episode(gotta respect the studio for going out of their way to add in 26 different ed songs). Some were outstanding while others were alright but in all honesty, the soundtracks were really something since they weren't anything you would hear in a typical shounen anime rather they would fit in perfectly with historic Japanese fairy tales.
Character:10/10
Their is only one major character in this part of the series who is seen in every episode. That being ginko.Although the doctor(adashino) might be somewhat relevant, he wasnt shown that much throughout the series so i won't be going into detail about him.So if i had to describe ginko in all simplicity, it would be that he is a cool and calm character.Ginko, who is a mushi expert(and something more which might be a spoiler if i disclosed it here) is an understanding and an intelligent character who tries his best to help others but he doesn't completely aid them.I'm sure you must have heard of the saying "Instead of feeding a starving man a fish, teach him how to fish".That's basically what is implied in mushishi.Ginko is someone who understands both the perspective of a human and a mushi and whenever a human has done some sort of harm to a mushi(which is usually the case), ginko teaches them how to deal with mushis without harming them.He always tries his best to keep humans and mushis away from each other since they cant co-exist with each other as one tries to overtake the other(usually being humans as they are born with that nature).I would regard ginko as one of my fav character for being an intellectual and a cool character tho i cant say the same for others as some might find him to be boring and dull.
Enjoyment:10/10
If it wasn't for the enjoyability i got out of this anime, by now it would be in my dropped anime list like many other anime.Seeing a new problem arise every episode with a different mushi being involved in the scenario along with a different character and ginko having to use different measures in order to ensure safety for both the mushi and the human was what i enjoyed the most. But, as stated previously, others wont have the same amusement.
Overall:10/10
Considering everything i said about mushishi, i can safely say that mushishi is one of my fav anime series as it offered something new and tackled some new concepts that i had not seen previously in any anime. If you are someone who enjoys slice of life, relaxing/chill, soothing anime where the story isn't the main focus, mushishi is definitely for you.But if you want some hardcore action infested scenes where there are specific main and side characters and story progression, mushishi is definitely a NO for you.

Its been awhile since i last watched a romance harem anime as i lost interest in them due to obvious reasons. But then i stumbled upon this anime. At first i was skeptic and went in with no expectations as i would usually be betrayed by them.Tho that changed after i watched the 1st ep.
Story: 7/10
As of now i dont determine an anime's worth solely on the bases of its storyline, tho obviously i wouldnt watch one with a horrible storyline,so i didnt focus much on how well the story was executed. If i had to evaluate it i would say the supernatural elements were quite interesting as
...
we get a glimpse of something i have never seen before. But thats as far as it goes.Other elements were pretty generic for a harem anime as we had the mc eventually having all the girls around him falling in love with him(possibly even the boys). It was up to the mc to save them by kissing them and as such the story followed by, which anyone could have seen through.
Art and Animation: 10/10
The character design and animation were perfectly executed in this anime.I cant standby watching an anime with 90s animation and having dull characters. In this anime, each character had their own unique hair colours and almost all of them didn't look out of place.'Almost all of them' not everyone.Their were some characters, such as that girl in class 1 who had light blue hairs, who looked pretty unusual for a highschool student and one would be wondering where they came from.Besides that, the animation was smooth and really good.
Sound: 7/10
The soundtracks weren't anything special and didn't appeal much to me tho at some points they fitted in perfectly with the atmosphere and enhanced the watching experience.
Characters:8/10
Initially, i was on the thought that we would once again have another dense typical mc who failed at almost everything in life but this wasn't the case.Yamada, the mc, as a character was interesting and it was really enjoyable just watching him being a complete savage. He was a somewhat empathetic person who was also strong-willed in his actions. He was a straight to the point guy who also happened to be a delinquent. Some of his actions were really hilarious like that one time were he was in the body of shiraishi and was going to punch her bully but all of a sudden his real body(who was mentally shiraishi) appeared and usually the character would stop just at the last second but he went full on and literally sent his own body flying.Ofc there were other moments like these too which left me laughing.
Shiraishi, on the other hand, was a complete opposite of yamada. She respected her teachers and was top in her studies. If i had to choose a fav character in the whole series it would probably be her.At first one might think she is a cold hearted serious character(i dont hate characters like those, hell one of my all time fav female character is cold hearted and serious),this is true to some extent, but after she spent some time with yamada she happened to be a cute and caring person who was really kind.
Other then these two, miyamura, ito and odagiri were also likeable and funny character.
Enjoyment:8/10
At first i really enjoyed the anime as it surpassed my expectations for a harem anime but mid way it kinda got boring.Tho, in the end, it retained its title and the last arc was interesting.
Overall: 8/10
Taking everything into consideration, this would be one of the few harem-romance anime which i enjoyed watching and didn't regret it afterward. But i wouldn't rec this to those who want to watch an anime with an amazing plot and want action scenes as this rarely had any fight scenes since that wasnt the main focus.

Not only could i relate so much with this anime but it also helped me develop my mental thinking along with making me more considerate and understanding in my day to day life. This anime definitely had a unique aura to it as its not what you would expect from a typical romcom anime based on highschool lives.
Story:8/10
As of now i am someone who doesnt watch an anime based on how amazing its story was, tho obviously i wouldnt watch it if its horrible, so i didnt focus much on the storyline of the anime but if i had to judge it i would say it
...
was pretty decent and interesting as we followed the continuation of the voluntary club helping their school members along with fighting agaisnt their own problems and desires. If you are someone who watches anime solely on the bases of the storyline then i honestly dont think so you will find this anime anything amazing or a masterpiece in that sense but you could still give it a try.
Art and Animation:10/10
So the animation was a HUGE step up from the previous season as the character's art and design looked so much more smooth and beautiful. What's more is that character's body movement and emotional expressions perfectly synched in along with the timing and pacing. In my opinion i would regard the animation as one of my fav of all time as it was really soothing just to watch the characters and as this anime has a tendency of putting in a lot of emphasis on character expressions the studio handled it perfectly.
Sound:9/10
Not much to say here other than that they used some of the previous seasons ost which perfectly synched in with the atmosphere and also lined up perfectly with the timing of the incident.
Character:10/10
This is the part were the anime takes it all for me.I would regard oregairu's character and character development as my all time fav since i have yet to see an anime where they outstand oregairu's character development or characters for that. The characters which i am specifically referring to are hikigaya and yukino. As someone who had a somewhat of a same outlook on society as hikigaya i was able to understand why he acted the way he did in some of the incidents.Hikigaya proved that its not always good to be popular/outstanding in life as that could backfire on you.In fact he even proved that people who like to stand out in society usually have to lie to themselves which ends up turning lying for them as normal as breathing.I for one can agree with this as i witnessed this first hand.In my school everyone wanted to make themselves look like they were above others and werent ready to accept defeat when they were wrong. They would always regard those who didnt talk much in class as 'dumb' and 'non-attentive kids' who were to be used as pawns for their own benefits. And yes as you might have guessed it i was the most silent kid in my class so i was subjected to this a lot.90% of the times they would try to keep a good image of themselves infront of me to have an impression that they were better than me in life. leaving me alone, they would even lie to their own peers of being some kind of perfectionist. For this reason i never wanted to befriend them and would always stay away from them as one could define them as 'hypocrites'.
Since the start for school i never was good at studies and would usually be in the top 5 lowest achievers however this changed when i got into highschool. As i developed an interest in studies due to certain reasons i become one of the best in academics and those who previously held this title werent ready to accept this.I was subjected to bullying and would usually be called a nerd or 'someone who studies for 24/7' for this reasons as i didnt have many friends so i would usually be seen studying or reading a book.So i pretty much understood yukino's point of view and not to mention that i had very limited interest and was somene who couldnt get along with others so my parents would force me to change that attitude which wasnt something i wanted to do as i preferred being alone. To sum it up the characters of oregairu are amazing and one could relate with them. The way the character development was handled was by far the best i have seen in any anime.
Enjoyment:10/10
As someone who watches an anime on the bases of how enjoyable it is (and arguably its animation) i could say this with certainty that oregairu was really enjoyable. The comedy was straight up funny and savage.Along with that were also some heart soothing scenes which relieved me of all my worries and kept me wanting to watch more of it.
Overall:10/10
Oregairu would definately be classified as one of my fav anime of all time tho if i had to give some cons it would be that the ending was a cliffhanger and at the time of writing this we shouldnt expect a s3 anytime soon(Actually their are chances of it not at all having a s3 since 3 volumes wouldnt result in much content). Also those who have yet to attend highschool or have graduated from highschool might find it boring and lame.
