It's The Godfather but with maid cafes in place of mafias. If that premise alone doesn't grab your attention and sell you on the show, then you're looking at the wrong anime. It's violent, shocking dark and outright funny. One moment a maid could be doing her adorable "Moe, Moe, Kyun!" routine, the next has her stomach being used as a guest room for a 0.45 inch tall traveller who's just stopping by. All while (not) 24-hour Cinderella plays in background.

This one hurts. As a massive fan of the game I was hoping the story would finally get the adaptation it deserves as it pertains to what might just be my favourite sci-fi/alt-history world ever created and anyone who's committed the (admittedly large amount of) time to the game would surely understand. It was inevitable that at first the show would not reflect this as the story only picks up at around Chapter 8 but that is no reason to drop the ball on the first part of a narrative that certainly requires multiple seasons to be told well.

Preliminary (4/12 eps)
Decently animated dark fantasy adventure for a post RoH world. I'm also fond of how they make it clear that the MC isn't some invincible badass. Even his overpowered sword has setbacks. There's a set of rules to the world that he has to follow strictly if he wants to survive. It's like watching a lets play, not the most unique thing out there but it's still feels nice to watch. Especially if you love a bit of sex and violence in your anime courtesy of the worlds nicest slave trader.

My only real complaint aside from how generic it can be at some points ...
