Joukamachi no Dandelion is a series of short stories weaved together to tell the story of a royal family with super powers who are competing in an election to be the new king of their country. Joukamachi no Dnadelion reveals each character's motivations and backstory in a short story, episodic manner.

The story of JnD is fair, it's style of storytelling is an innovation to the standard metric but it has its pitfalls. Due to its style of focusing in on a few characters each episode, the story is largely strong or weak based on the characters. The actual lack of plot is probably the ... biggest problem, with most of the important "stuff" that happens in the story being the result of flashbacks and not actions taken by the character in the present. This is not a damning problem though, because its short story format allows for this style of story telling. The ending is much much stronger than the first half and it's really enjoyable for that reason. The pacing is alright, and character development is something that is actually noticeable episode by episode.

I love the art is JnD. Each character feels distinctive due to their attention to detail and unique appearances. The small details bring an already appealing style up to a great standard. The sound is very good, with Kana Hanazawa doing a fantastic job.

Overall, this is a pretty enjoyable ride. It's not thrilling, deep, or dark edgy nine me. It's simple, silly, and it will make you feel content with its above average qualities. If you like short stories, you'll love this!

Are you chasing a dream?
Futaba, Ichigo, and Rin are chasing their dreams to be Seiyuu, and it’s been an amazing journey. Sore Ga Seiyuu! begins mainly by informing the viewer about how voice acting works and various parts of the industry. If that’s your interest field, it will immediately pull you in. As the story progresses though, the drama and reality overflows out and it becomes beautiful. Futaba is a character that is relatable for anyone struggling to pursue their passions, and her story is both convincing and high caliber.

If you’re interested in characters that actually develop, and interesting plot, and music: Sore Ga ... Seiyuu! is for you. I think it’s truly rare to find an anime that focuses on realism to the same degree as this one, and I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I have!

There isn't anything new here. That doesn't mean it isn't the most enjoyable anime of the 2015 Summer Season though. If you're into main characters that kick ass and take names, then this is the show for you. If you're sick of watching NTRs and all that jazz, check out this anime.

If you like fantasy, otaku-pandering, and tons of fun in a virtual world that rocks the boat, then you'll love Overlord. Where SAO had uninspiring character designs, Overlord has a cast that is actually memorable and dynamic. Where Log Horizon struggles with pacing, Overlord keeps you on the edge of your seat. Where NGNL ... was too mainstream for your hipster-weeb-ways, Overlord is here.

This isn't deep. This is fun. The story is simple and hilarious. It ignores the real world and sticks to the new one, all the while taking you on a ride that is anything but boring. Art is regular. Sound is regular. Characters are above average and make for an enjoyable harem of henchmen.

The Enjoyment. That's why you watch Overlord. It is full of action scenes mixed with light hearted comedy. Anyone with desires of grand power or ambition will enjoy this! You don't watch it for deep political soliloquy or some kind of wonderful plot that leaves you questioning your life's meaning. You watch this because it's fun. Now stop reading reviews and have some fun.
