Hi there, I see you're planning to watch Ashita no Joe. Hope you can do so as soon as possible, it's really an amazing piece of art in the character development's department. It can be a bit hard to get through the poor visuals (very old), but if you do, it's incredibly rewarding. Hope for the best. :)
