So it has been quite sometime since I've did a review so bear with me ^^; Its as ofv now 12:29am as I'm typing this lol and I've just finished rewatching this amazing film a fifth time, let's get this done!
If you are familiar with Shinkai Makoto's work, Hoshi wo Ou Kodomo shares many elements common to his previous films. His tendency to use comparatively flat characters set in a stunningly rendered world; a story about the ephemeral connections between humans; and a gentle, non-invasive, soundtrack are all well represented here. The level of polish in this film seems evident of Shinkai's maturing talent as
...
a story-teller in the medium of animation, and reminds me of some of the best works from Ghibli.
In particular, I was encouraged that in comparison to his last two films (Kumo no Mukou, Yakusoku no Bashou and Byousoku 5 Centimeter), Hoshi wo Ou Kodomo does not rely on narration as a means of expressing the thoughts and feelings of his protagonists. As much as I enjoyed those films, it is difficult in the best of circumstances to properly translate feelings into one language. Their re-translation into english left me thinking that I was listening to particularly emo livejournal entries at times. The only place I felt this failed him was in establishing the depth of the relationship between Asuna and Morisaki.
I won't be providing a synopsis. I am a firm believer that the story is far less important than how it is told. I will say that in contrast to what I expected, this is very much in the genre of adventure movies. The themes of love and loss are still present, but their emphasis in the film overall was far more subtle than I had anticipated. While I think that it made the film more entertaining than his previous works, I must admit that upon reaching the end of Hoshi wo Ou Kodomo I did not feel the emotional rawness that Shinkai's previous works have left me with, and I find that I miss it but overall I really recommend it!

This movie sums up the legacy of Naruto very well! I enjoy watching it from the first till the very last minute plus credits and the cliffhanger of Mitsuki's parent after that. Everyone was laughing on that!
The plot and scenes are arranged beautifully that I feel no time is wasted. Graphics animations and music soundtrack also have amazing effects!
Even if you don't read the Japanese manga or previous movie, you can tell that the essence of story about a boy who's longing for a father's acceptance but ended up overwhelmed by the fact that Boruto's father (Naruto) has overcame so much weaknesses that viewers should
...
know how did he do that. On the sideline, we also see how Naruto's best friends like Sasuke, Shikamaru and the Gokages teaming up in ways we've never seen before as the new united generation. The scenes where Naruto and Sasuke fighting Kinshiki are awesome, beat my expectation!
Movie is about 90% close to the novel which is excellent. Some scenes like Sakura & Temari, Chunnin Exams, flashback on Naruto learning Rasengan with Jiraiya, Neji's death really brings fond of memories of Naruto stories.
The movie could've been a little better with deeper interaction between Naruto, Hinata and Himawari, as well as Konohamaru and Kakashi. I hope this is not the last from either Naruto or Boruto.

Probably the best anime I have seen recently. From the director of 'The Girl Who Leapt Through Time' gives us this wonderful fantasy-drama.
This movie is kinda resembling Miyazaki's 'My Neighbour Totoro', only the place it takes place and a bit with the characters. Other than that it is an awesome movie with a totally fresh concept as per my knowledge.
All the three main characters, a mother and her two kids were lovable. Aoi Miyazaki never stops impressing me where she appears here as a mother. Her roles from various movies are always coming with a surprise who peaking high and higher, she really rocks. The
...
two kids' characters as well very adorable. Like the two sisters in 'My Neighbour Totoro' these two made the movie look great. Actually it was a tale about a mother who raises two wolf children. As a single parent, her hard work and dedication to the kids to grow up having a normal and happy childhood she must sacrifice her life.
When her husband dies, Hana must take care of the kids where she lacks the knowledge of their kind to give support. She finds difficulties in city to raise them so she decides to move to a rural where she can cut the communications with the other humans. Growing her own vegetables in the backyard, facing the different seasons and going through all the ups and down in life she almost achieves her ambition.
It did not look like an anime movie, it looked almost a real one with many cool and colourful frames. The story commenced with a nice love story with a little heartbreak. Then the most enjoyable parts begin with lots of laughs until the approach of the end where it brings lots of emotions before concluding with a powerful howl. It had very nice background score in all the crucial portion of the tale. In other word to say, the movie was just like what I expected and more than that. I felt the movie was short and was not ready to accept the end. You know, it is better being short and sweet than with unnecessary drag in a tale.
This is a movie that everyone will love, especially kids and families. Like I said if you are a die hard 'My Neighbour Totoro' movie fan then you must not miss it. So highly recommended by me.

Hyouka, a show which blends mystery with an interesting slice of life story, and manages to do it really, really well. Coming from Kyoto Animation you could argue that it was always headed towards big things, but this is different from what we normally see from Kyoto, this is more interesting and holds more depth, and makes for a far more interesting and intriguing series.
The plot focuses around Hotaro Oreki who lives by the motto of "If I don't have to do something, I won't, but if I have to I'll do it quickly." This motto goes for every aspect of his life, leaving him
...
with very little drive or interest in actually doing anything with his life until he joins his schools Classics Club, after some encouragement from his older sister, and meets Eru Chitanda. Eru is, without a doubt, a very interesting character who shines throughout the series; she's the type of character who is forever curious about every little thing, and it just so happens that Hotaro finds himself unable to refuse Eru when she looks into his eyes and states she's curious about something. Hotaro and Eru aren't the only members of the Classics Club, we also have Satoshi Fukube who is a close and childhood friend of Hotaro and claims himself to be a "database" of, sometimes useless, knowledge. We also have Mayaka Ibara who is also a childhood friend of Hotaro and Satoshi. It makes for an interesting group of characters and considering they all get a fair amount of character development throughout the series and a chance to stand in the spotlight, they feel like characters you can really grow close to and enjoy watching. The series is mostly a slice of life, but because of Eru being endlessly curious, the group end up solving a lot of mysteries, which is a refreshing idea for the slice of life genre. Fair enough, none of the mysteries are over the top and most are simple things, but this is where the characters really shine and bring out the best in the show, plus simple sometimes isn't a bad thing. Hotaro is a gruff and lazy character to begin with, but as you watch him get dragged into things by Eru and co and watch how he grows as a person you really come to like him and realise he is by no means a bad person, and the same can be said for the rest of the cast. While you may not start off being very fond of them, that can quickly change over time because there is far more to them than meets the eye and each has far more depth to them than you'd likely expect.
The pacing of the show is done rather well, most mysteries are solved within an episode or two with the biggest exception being the Cultural Festival which is spread out over five or six episodes, which actually makes for a very interesting arc. Again though, not being stuck on the same mysteries does help the show because it keeps it fresh and interesting.
Where the animation comes into things the series is always very pleasing on the end, with some especially pretty animation near the end. Character designs aren't amazing, but they are different from the normal designs Kyoto Animation throw out, and are all interesting in their own right. The series also has a nice way of working us through the mysteries as Hotaro is explaining things with some rather interesting animation, which is always refreshing to see and really helps you understand the mystery at hand and just what has gone on.
As far as the shows soundtrack goes, it doesn't actually have a large amount of music because it chooses to reuse a lot of it over and over, however maybe more music would have hindered the show and the music we do have works perfectly fine. The fact the show reuses a lot of its tracks isn't noticeable enough to become a bother, and the tracks are generally nice enough where you're happy to be hearing them again. It's also worth noting that the series has two very impressive opening themes, which are very catchy and will have you tipping along to them after the first couple of listens.
Overall it's a strong show and certainly one of my favourites. Any fan of mystery stores and the slice of life genre will enjoy the series, either for the mysteries it presents to the viewer, or because of our loveable cast of characters. A solid show which is well worth your time.

Akame Ga Kill had the most interesting plot of any show I have seen. The action, characters and emotions involved in this anime made for a fantastic show.
The intensity of this show really got me into it. The only complaints I have are that it didn't entirely follow the manga and it ended. It had so much potential to continue. I personally think this show should have been produced after the manga was finished. The deaths in the show were what really pushed me over.
I really felt something for each and every single character in the story line and the constant losses they suffered
...
kept me intrigued. It really showed that what they were fighting for was real and important.
If you're a manga reader of the series don't worry this is a great adaptation of this wonderful series with some changes near the end. And if you're a newcomer then I hope you will give Akame ga Kill a chance if you want to enjoy a fun, dark story with interesting characters and really solid plot.. Better ugh "typing really makes me tired I tell you" tbh with you Guy's I sort ofv rushed typed this review ^ ^; ahaha~ hope you enjoy

Death Parade was, for me, one of those anime. I didn't even knew what was it about, but I just had to watch it. And I don't regret a sigle second I spent with this thing. Because it's just one of the best anime I've watched so far.
It deals with a question that bothers all of us - what is afterlife like? Is there Heaven and Hell, reincarnation, or just nothing? Well, when they are not sure where to put you, you find yourself in a bar and you don't remember how you died. Well, your bartender is actually an arbiter and judged by
...
the performance you make during playing of a game, you are sent either to reincarnation, or to the void.
Story itself was undoubtly interesting for me. For it's rather short lenght (12 episodes) there isn't much story included, but the main thing I loved about Death Parade is the psychological side of the story. I will try not to spoil anything, I'll just say that the main questions it might rise, like whether a right to judge others or forcing them to show the darkest part of their soul is moral or not, were very interesting for me.
When it comes to characters, I was pleasantly surprised - two main characters, Decim and a nameless black-haired woman, were well written, however I had a problem with few other characters. Why were they there? They didn't seem to have too many space in the story itself, apart from one or two, and I am still wondering what the hell was a guy with sakura hair and beard doing there. I am not sure whether they'll make another part of this, but I doubt it and don't understand the meaning of it. On the other hand, Decim in from now on one of my most favourite characters ever. His seiyuu was just amazing!
The main reason why I started to watch it was animation. It is simply beautiful, precisely the kind of art I love. Along with Durarara!!, this might be one of the best made pieces ever. I can't really tell how much work did the animators have, but I enjoyed the visual part of this anime very much.
The sound wasn't bad as well, OST is actually pretty amazing, but one thing I didn't like was the opening. I felt it was actually pretty inapropriate and I would have enjoyed it more if it was more darker, just like the story.
As a whole, this anime is a gem. I am sure I will re-watch it pretty soon. Death Parade is one of the reasons why I love anime. It has everything - great characters (DECIM!), amazing music, not too much romance (well, almost none at all...) and the thing I cherish the most - moral questions. If you liked the moral dilema in Death Note, I am sure you will enjoy Death Parade as much as I did.

Hey guy's it's 11:17pm as I'm typing this and tbh I'm not tired at all after watching Sakamichi no Apollon and felt I needed to say something about it. Honestly it's almost hard for me to remember the last time a series touched me as much as this one did. It was funny, heartwarming, sad, and an amazing ride all wrapped up in a story steeped in beautiful jazz performances and soundtrack; making for an anime that is almost unlike any others I have seen before.
First off the story is absolutely wonderful. Between the strong bonds of friendship based on a love of music, to
...
the beautiful performances, to the great romances that make up for probably half of the driving plot everything is executed flawlessly. All of the writing is done in such a realistic way that you begin to see these characters not as simply figures on a screen, but real people. You truly feel their emotions, you're happy when they're happy, sad when they're sad. I even have to admit I shed some tears at a point, something that very rarely happens to me with anime. You enter at episode one thinking that this will be another fun SoL music show, but then before you know it your wrapped up in a beautiful drama that is taking you along for this wonderful emotional ride. You never expected that when you started the series you would be feeling so much for these characters, but you do. And by the end you come out of on the other side of the series with a completely changed outlook on what a SoL drama can be. Of course I won't give away any spoilers, but here are my thoughts on the ending
Secondly, the music. What can I say that hasn't been said? The music in this show is outstanding, absolutely outstanding. Before watching this series I was a passive jazz fan, if I heard it I enjoyed it, but I never sought it out. But now I'm actively listening to jazz, and loving it. Also, as a musician I think shows like this, and K-On! etc always hit a special place in my heart. I know the joy that comes from performing with others like they show on these series, I get to understand the honest fun the characters are having, and I can relate to the great music that they're playing. Plus with some shows like this it’s fun to see the characters struggle to learn to play, as it’s something all musicians have to go through; that’s not very applicable to this series though since all of the MC’s are pretty accomplished to start. (Thanks, for letting me have that little selfish bit). Anyway, back to the show. I thought the choice to use real songs was brilliant. It adds a lot to the realism, and gives the audience a thing to firstly relate to these characters by. Doing this wouldn’t work for all shows, K-On! for instance is served extremely well by having original songs, and actually I think that adds to the realism of that story. But the real songs work perfectly for this show, and I couldn’t imagine changing a thing.
Lastly the art, and animation. Once again, I loved it. The performance scenes were exceptionally well done, I'm aware that they were rotoscoped, but still very impressive. As for the rest of the shows animation it was very, very nice. The entire show has a very smooth and fluid style that leads to all the movements of the characters looking, and feeling very natural. The style of animation also gives a great sense of the time period that most of the show takes place in (Late 60's).Honestly I couldn't rain anymore praise down on this show. It's an outstanding anime that only comes once in a blue moon, and I'm very grateful for being able to enjoy it. I recommend everyone go out and watch it, it's streaming for free over on Crunchyroll.
And I'll leave everyone with this. For those who haven't seen the show this song is probably the most prevalent through the whole series, and one that I think will get you the most interested. From the OST: Moanin'
Anyway, thanks for listening to my ramblings. This show has truly been a pleasure to watch. Ahhh! My fingers are killing me *cracks knuckles* well time to hit the hay *Sayonara*

Hey guys just finished watching a strong ending! I could be happy with this show only being one season of 12 episodes because Kyoto Animation made those 12 episodes count. I mean, how do you follow it up without people grousing about the lack of plot, "it wasn't as good as last season", etc...
I am a sap for a good story and this ending had me teared up most of the way through it. Rikka's internal suffering of what she has lost becoming 'normal' and her decision to move back in with her Mom and Grandparents, while leaving Yuuta behind.
Yuuta's letter to himself in
...
the future with the important last sentence "You are special". Kumin's explanation to Yuuta on the road about how Rikka gained her chuunibyou from observing him when he was younger [I knew that flashback had significance! ;-)] Yuuta's encounter with the 'normal' Dekamori and Nibutani's sudden deep thought on the nature of how chuunibyou and normalcy are flip sides of the same coin "believing you are special (chuunibyou) to believing you are not (normal)".
The sequence when Yuuta got to Rikka's grandparents house and their escape were brilliantly done and conveyed so much emotion, I tear up thinking about it as I write this. The powerful goodbye from Rikka to her father, so sad, but necessary to move on with her life.
Some thought the other characters being there at Rikka's house was contrived, but I don't think so. The Oriental Magik Napping Society in Summer attracted people who ultimately became friends. I don't think it is contrived to believe that friends would want to help and support each other in a time of need. ;-)
All in all, I am sad to see it end, but very happy it ended the way it did.
While I would be eager to see a second season, they did a great job wrapping up the first season to a satisfying conclusion that would stand the test of time and truly a must see ^v^

Konnichiwa! Mina! It's 9:30pm as I'm typing. Just finished this hilarious anime and it deserve a review so here i go.
I thoroughly enjoyed this anime. The personalities of all the characters really shine through and you can almost feel the connection between various characters. It finished on a happier note which is not often usual for animes like this! (I won't say too much) It also shows not to judge a book by it's cover, people can me more powerful and braver than first assumed.
I would definitely recommend this anime, especially if you enjoyed Fruits Basket, this is similar in a few ways,
...
but there is a bit more action rather than comedy, but there are still some funny and enjoyable parts, I also thought it would've been better with a little bit more romance between the two main characters other than just a small part, like the usual cliché where pretty much all the romance is in the last episode.
All in all, it's a great anime! 9/10
Enjoy!

Ohayoo! Mina, It's 10:38am as im typing this."Why in the morning"You ask? Because rn i got nothing better to do so lets do this thang.
Well this show does more than give your brain just a bit of a workout on thinking about a “what if” scenario that is rather unusual.
They actually do a rather good job of helping you understand what your life might be like if you had the same affliction.
Just what would it be like for me personally to have a friend that every Monday morning I had to re-introduce myself as if for the first time.
How would it feel
...
to be that person who is afflicted and only knowing people because of what you wrote in a notebook, always worrying that you might lose the notebook and thus lose your “memory”. I really enjoyed the show.
Well it wasn't the most interesting review I did lol but overall this is a nice, relaxing anime that has a good story and introduces you to some interesting characters and interesting concepts. *exhale* I'm done, i hope you guys enjoyed the review... Bye-bye (≧∇≦)/
