This Anime will not blow your socks off and change the way you see the world. But it will make you laugh and smile, and will be a nice distraction from the monotony of everyday life.

Isekai, as a genre, is heavily oversaturated with typical cliches and cookie-cutter plotlines. Characters are made to be basically kind enough that we root for them, but generally have little to no other personality.
Tensei Kizoku was an example of how a cookie cutter cliche can be done in a way that is still a joy to watch.

Before getting into the story and characters, it is worth mentioning how lovely ... the visuals were. The art style of this anime was incredibly pleasant to watch and the Chibi and overdramatic expressions were used very well. The whole show felt much more alive and animated with these movements and expressions. The art style alone was enough to maintain my interest for quite a while.

Now for the story: Cain von Silford is the third son of a prominent margrave and upon waking up as a three year old, realises he maintains his memory and character of his previous life as Shiina Kazuya. So far, all very typical to an isekai.
Where most Isekai anime will bore you to death with the same forced "Look how hard I'm trying" or the alternative "Everything is easy and I guESS I'Ll do the ThiNG anD GEt a HaReM Of GirlS oH No!" Tensei kizoku allows the characters to be aware of the ridiculousness of Cain's abilities at only 5 years old and react accordingly. They do not treat him differently as a person, they simply treat him as Cain. As a person. Cain himself understands his abilities are ridiculous and resolves to practice self-restraint.... of which he fails tremendously. As a result, though, he makes good friends and aquaintances that AREN'T ALL POTENTIAL LOVE INTERESTS!!! I cannot stress enough how important a point this is to make. Every. Single. Isekai will make sure the main character is surrounded by a gaggle of attractive women who all kind of have feelngs for the MC, but Cain's found family is a healthy mix of male and female. It is so incredibly refreshing to see a true group of friends that aren't all competing for the MC's affections.

Throughout the show it is truly funny and enjoyable to watch Cain absolutley fail at blending in or apearing even close to humanly strong and pretty quickly the people around him catch on to his overwhelming strength and lack of restraint.

Does he end up with a harem? yes. Does it feel over exaggerated and unrealistic? surprisingly, no. The girls who all decide to marry him generally don't tale up a large part of the show. We see muh more of the main character than of girls out of his league fawning over him for no reason(As we see in many other shows). There isn't really a romance subplot. It feels much more "Found Family" as Cain is surrounded by people he genuinely cares about.

Overall, Tensei Kizoku is a lighthearted stress free isekai anime that has a predictable plot but a lovely artstyle and cast of characters that make for an excellant way to get your mind off of life for a while.

Here's the thing: Is this anime some revolutionary and masterful example of modern entertainment? no. absolutely not. So if you are looking for the next cult classic or the great grandson of Log horizon, Konosuba, or Re:Zero, this is not for you. It's a cute, lighthearted and enjoyable anime with no character development, no tragic backstory, no character detail and pretty much no plot. It is a cute slice of life of cute character doing cute character fantasy things.

Story:
simply put: it is not there. The concept is simple, the whole anime focuses on the aspect of isekai that is "based on RPG/MMO's" it maintains it's ... focus on the world appearing like a game to Satou(Or satoo) as he adventures through this world. The story is not all that thrilling nor is it particularly titivating, it is simple, lighthearted and enjoyable.

Art:
it's good. The characters are cute. again: nothing all that new or interesting about it. The art is good. It is pleasant to the eyes and the scenery (Especially in a couple scenes) are nice to look at.

Sound:
Both the OP and the ED are generic cute anime songs. Not something you will remember (although I think the ED is adorable)

Character:
Each character has it's own Archetype or take on an archetype. they are cute and good looking. They all exist and are all simply... there. They do not have plenty of depth and the only backstories we really see are for Arisa, Lulu, and Satou. Even then it's within a minute of dialogue. I'll be honest: There isn't a lot to say here.

Overall:
It's an enjoyable and simple show, good for a casual night in between watching more thrilling and/or dark shows. It's cute, simple, easy to watch. You don't have to pay too much attention to it (for those that don't need to read the subtitles) and it's nice to just watch when you want a cute distraction. It's simple and enjoyable. Don't let the sarcastic 1 reviews and awful words make you think the show is bad. It's not bad at all, it's just not new or revolutionary.

This story. Man where to start. This story had me wrapped around its little finger.
The characters and the characters those characters play. The story behind them. The depth this went into.
I started this anime thinking it would be a lighthearted comedy about a girl who insists she has magic. A part of me believes she does. In the end, this anime was so deep it made me rethink a lot of things about myself. About the society I live in.
It went from "haha that was cringe-y and funny and cute!" to "I'm not crying you are!"

Story:
The story I gave a 10. It flows ... well, the characters make sense inside it. There is an actual plot. Rikka's depth and Yuuta's past link well together. Everything ties up nicely with room for a second season (Which I will now watch)

Art:
10 out of 10! In any seen portraying sadness or bottled emotion, was so heart wrenchingly gorgeous. The flow of the movement, the tears, the mannerisms and gestures. everything was so perfectly put together my heart felt like it was about to implode.

Sound:
For me, the sound got a 9. it was beautiful, especially in the scenes where there was music playing in the background. Everything worked well, however I couldn't imagine myself saying "yeah I'd totally buy that on itunes and listen to it." It was still ,however, very nice music.

Character:
Characters were outstanding. I absolutely loved every one. Even smaller characters like Isshiki kun and Kumin. they were minor characters, yet they had their own story within the main plot. One that was adorable and simple. Nothing but a love interest. My favourite character was definitly Rokka and her older sister Touka. All the characters were lovable and easily worked well together. It made sense to see them together. it wasn't one of those groups that make you think "i don't get how someone like that would be with someone like that". I could easily see how they ended up being together all the time.

I thoroughly enjoyed this anime and strongly recommend it to everyone out there who may be reading this.

In summary, I absolutely loved this anime. It was a great spin on the typical shojou romance.
The story of Adagaki Aki and her cruel outlook on men, mixed with the hilarity of masamune makabe trying to be the cool ikemen he looks like, created a wonderfully entertaining anime.

Story 7: The story isn't all that satisfying, honestly. There are several ways to look at it of course, I personally love a rich story with comedy and an interesting take to a typical genre. To me, "Masamune-kun no Revenge" did that. The story was cute, funny, and light. I feel like these days so many anime are ... dark and depressing; Finding an uplifting anime is a nice change to the mainstream stuff I have been seeing.

Art 7: The art was not too bad, I didn't hate it, however for those that don't like typical, or common, you would not like this art style. Yes, it was a typical style but there is nothing wrong with that. The male characters all had the same sort of "baby face" that a lot of anime/manga artists fall into occasionally. However, I found the use of typical art style in this anime added to the overall quality. The story follows, what one would assume, is a typical shojou romance, however the plot takes quips and interesting digs at these cliche typical romances with the characters. Adding the typical art style only adds to the comedy and irony of the cliche.

Sound 7: I found that the soundtrack in this anime didn't really stick. It matched the overall feel of the anime with the lighthearted nature, however I didn't find myself, at any point, thinking "hey these are some pretty cool tunes". However I don't think that the sound quality/soundtrack of an anime should be a part of whether or not you watch it. Unless the anime is something like Starmyu.

Character 10: I absolutely loved the characters in this anime. Sure a few of them were rather common, but the majority of them were so masterfully crafted I found myself actually screaming when I was watching their interactions. My personal favourite characters are, in no particular order, Kae futaba, Kojuuro shuri, yoshino koiwai, and of course, masamune makabe. In order of why I love them: Kae Futaba is a fellow fujoshi, several times throughout the show we see her fangirl over the pairing of Kojuuro-kyun and... Well basically any other guy. Next is my sweet sweet kojuuro-kyun. he is described as the "designated bottom" this again appeals to my fujoshi heart as we see several references to this. In the first episode We see so, so, many references. At one point we see him adorably chomp on a NEKO DONUT.. I REPEAT A NEKO DONUT. Yoshino Koiwai is by far one of the most well thought out characters in the whole show. She starts off all sweet and shy but then, oh but then, we see her actual sense of Kuudere-ness. She is so cold and calculating and no one knows it, except for Masamune of course. Then finally our main, dorky, hero: Masamune Kun. Masamune is such a lovable character. From his good looks to quirky/dorky thought process, he is just adorable. Several times throughout the series he tries to be the "cool ikemen" his appearance makes him seem to be. However his take on romance is strictly from his "master" koiwai-san or from Shojou manga.

overall 10: I thoroughly enjoyed this anime and think that anyone who is looking for a lighthearted adorable anime should give this one a try. The show was so fun to watch, and I loved the "cliche yet not" take the creators took with this. The characters are so enjoyable, the plot is funny, and the overall enjoyment levels I get from this are well beyond a ten out of ten. I hope a second season is made, and if not I will be reading as much as I can from the manga.

At first I absolutely loved it! The character was relatable, I am obsessed with ikemen and showbiz so it was a win win situation for me! Then the main character started to change. I now dislike her, and honestly its kind of hard to read. She has become kind of horrible choosing a guy over family. Making these horrible choices that no normal person would even think about. I like the story, and recommend it to people who are looking for a shojou manga about Showbiz, but if you can't handle a main character who is a little bit dislikable then this may not be ... the story for you.
