What this story could've been is a better MHA. One with more stakes. The beginning of the story seemed to be leading to something like that with the MC having been in a darker state of mind. Instead, it got axed early and ended on a much more upbeat note that is left open for us to think about which isn't bad on its own but also not good. This had potential. This is a vast improvement and much needed prequel/ incite on the thoughts of Tamiyo for the original Hikari club. I read these back to back and while with the first, I felt no real attachment to the characters really at all except for Kannon and Lichi. However this definitely helps with making you feel more attached with the characters as you see the actual creation to takeover by the Zera in it. I still recommend reading the original first before this one as that is how it’s intended to be read but I do think reading it the other way would give the original

Attack on Titan is one of the best stories we've gotten in recent times. It tackles the effects of war, freedom, discrimination, and more masterfully in a way that makes the viewer question who is truly the bad person. Eren Yaeger is just straight up one of my favorite characters ever because he's so well written and while some think he got butchered in the end I would disagree a lot as the "butchering" is literally just him showing that he truly cares for a certain person and he wishes to always be in their thoughts to the point where it pains him that he
