This season was a great experience
The beginning of the season already creates tension for this season, with the presentation of Satoru and Geto's past. Even though this beginning still has some comedy scenes, I still noticed that it is much heavier than the first one right from the start.
Honestly, I found Geto's development to be one of the best in all of anime, in the short time he is presented. I understand that some people don't like it because they think there is a plot hole in the fact that he doesn't have a conversation about it
...
with Gojo himself (before they meet in front of the diner), but even so, I found the presentation of the character to be very well done. In the first 5 episodes that he appears, we can already understand his entire line of thought, his anguish, his rejection of everything that happens in the jujutsu world, and even though I don't agree with his decision, I created a certain empathy with him. In the beginning, we already receive several scenes full of torment, all from Geto's point of view, such as the death of Haibara and Riko. Then, when he has already made his decision, he meets Gojo again, and they have the famous discussion "Are you Satoru Gojo because you are the strongest, or are you the strongest because you are Satoru Gojo?", this moment is when we connect the dots of the film and the present day, where the two paths have divided. But I wanted to give an honorable mention to the scene where Gojo sees Kenjaku in Geto's body, and even so, Geto's soul still fights against it. The whole Shibuya incident was complete chaos, and with each scene that appeared, I was more in disbelief. Since nothing worked the way I expected in a shonen anime, it's something I particularly like. There's no "power of protagonism" here, especially because the protagonist himself is the biggest villain in the series. Not even the strongest character can shine at that moment.
The shock Itadori feels after he regains consciousness, after Sukuna destroys practically everything, was a very important scene, which I paid for with the little sanity I had at that moment.
The best scenes of all these fights for me were Nanami's fight with that blond guy with long hair, whose name I don't remember, simply the only moment when I felt genuine happiness, because Nanani is incredible at that moment. But then, moments later was when the shred of hope that I had left was gone, in his death. Nanami's death was presented in such a melancholic way and at the same time so free for him, that I burst into tears.
I can say the same about Nobara's "death", that there was so much struggle from everyone, to end everything with just one touch on her face. All the flashbacks of her childhood, the possible reunion with her friend after years, which would never happen, kept that great anguish while I already knew what the end would be.
In conclusion, it's a great season, it delivered more than I expected, my immersion, and the connection with the characters was incredible, everything worked very well for me. The moments I mentioned are not even half of everything that happens in this season, like Megumi's meeting with her father, the moment when Mahito is defeated, they are scenes that I don't even know how to explain, you just have to watch it to feel everything. I highly recommend it, and all I hope now is a third season that follows the same path, and delivers even more!
- The only negative point in this season, that I want to make clear here, is the existence of Mei Mei!

I thought this movie was really good.
Honestly, it's not something super innovative or anything like that, but it kept me hooked on the story from beginning to end (I believe the animation also has a big influence on this, since it's a very beautiful animation). I created a great attachment to the characters, and I thought it developed well, within the limits of the movie. It made me cry at the end, I thought the boy's words about giving up the Sun just to be with her were really beautiful, his whole struggle to go after her and in the end still waiting years to find ... |
