Would've been a solid 8 if the ending didn't fuck it up. And if the ending didn't fuck it up, would've been a solid 9 if Chrona or whatever that pink haired bitch's name was wasn't so goddamn annoying. The story is cool, the fights are awesome, the protagonists (except Maka) are awesome, the villains are fantastic and the world-building is pretty awesome. It'a a great anime regardless. It continued to be great, but the point at which it slightly faltered first was when the writers decided to make one of the villains a sympathetic character. And then it absolutely fucked up with the ending.
...
Oh my god, the ending is not even BAD. It's just STUPID. Stupider than shit. It doesn't even fit the type of anime that Soul Eater is in the first place.

ReLIFE is an anime that looks fairly generic when you take a look at the plot summary. After all, it is based on a high school setting like almost every other anime. But for some reason, even with its generic characters, setting, and nondescript plot, I found myself hooked on the show after the first episode.
The plot as I have mentioned above is nothing unique. The story follows Kaizaki Arata, a 27-year old jobless guy who is given a second chance at improving his job acquisition skills by Yaoke, an agent at a pharmaceutical research department, by offering a
...
pill that will help him look 17-years old and relive his highschool life for a year. That's basically it. The rest of the series follows Kaizaki's interactions with students who are 10 years younger than him. Even though the plot may sound like the life of a high schooler, it is quite fun to see events unfold through the interactions between adults and youngsters. The show also presents adolescent moral problems, and of course, it is up to our protagonists to help his friends solve them. There are no big plot twists but the story is consistent throughout the 13 episodes, save for the last episode where a big plot twist is revealed only to be left off for the second season, that is if one ever comes. The ending is fairly satisfying, but it never completely "ends" the whole thing, so that may be unfulfilling to some viewers.
The characters too are nothing unique and they follow the same archetype that every high school class students ever have. You know, the awkward main protagonist, the genius yet unsociable female protaginist, the genius but dense guy, the hotheaded tsundere, etc. But seeing their interactions is fun and often humorous. Humor is one of the good points of the show which it handles suprisingly well. Even in dramatic moments, the show slips in humor that never feels out of place. And it also feels nice to see our characters developing through each episode, whether it is overcoming rifts in friendship or learning how to smile (lol). The funniest character must be the female lead Hishiro Chizuru. Seeing her learn to adapt eith society is easily is one of, if not THE, best parts of the show. There is always something to learn from these characters as they overcome their struggles and that's what makes them great. The voice actors did a great job too.
Art was fairly good and the backgrounds looked crisp and well-constrasted. Episode 13, especially, was an artfest. That episode was really beautifully animated. Well, I guess you can't badly animate fireworks, can you?
I was a little dissapointed with the soundtrack of the show, especially the one that was played during the humorous and conversational scenes. It just felt cheap and out of place with those scenes. It was just composed of piano notes that looked random and sounded lazy. The opening was quite good while the ending was average.
Overall, ReLIFE is a fun anime that is entertaining to watch and is something we can learn from. It is one of those anime which can be truly categorized under the Slice of Life genre. I would highly recommend anyone to watch it. I promise it will be worth your time. GO WATCH IT!!! (and don't watch the dub if it ever comes out, because - ah, you know it.)

The review does not contain any spoilers...
Steins;Gate is without doubt one of the best anime of all time. Everything about the show is so fresh and unique. It feels really good to see animation explore unique parts besides flashy stories that have become too generic over time.
The story revolves around the *mad scientist" Okabe Rintatou aka Hyouyin Kyouma. This character, my friends, is one of the most well-written characters in anime history along with his lab members but more on that later. Coming on to the story, it revolves around a rarely explored time travel phenomena. The story itself is good and bring up
...
interesting theories about the phenomena of time travel but what makes it excellent is the interactions between all the characters that help it unfold. Towards the middle is filled with dark drama and even handles romance well, too. There are so many amazing plot twists that the story is constantly evolving. Ever heard of a sc-fi humor anime with dark drama and romance? The mix may seem somewhat irrevalant but it only adds layer to the depth of the plot. The plot is never dragged out and always intrigues the viewer to the point that we genuinely begin to care about our characters.
Speaking of characters, I mentioned already that they are the best ever written. The characters NEVER feel generic because each have their own sense of uniqueness to them: from the adorable Mayuri to the genius tsundere Makisu. Their interactins are always fun to watch and often I found myself grinning to the point I looked creepy (like the Cheshire cat).
The humor of the show is derived from the dialogue and verbal interactions from these characters without ever relying on the comical expressions that the anime industry is famous for overusing. So they are likable to the point you will want to BECOME like them, whether you say "Tutturu~" throughout the day or pretend to call your "organization". Honestly I have never seen an anime with a main protagonist as likable as Steins;Gate's. Thats why the show makes you feel truly connected to these characters and can't help but make you show satisfaction or sorrow over them. I also gotta hand it over to the sieyuu for their incredible portrayals that fleshes out the characters even more. and oh yeah......WATCH THE SUB!!!
The art of the show is nothing new or amazing but it has well-drawn backgrounds and the same art style is consistent throughout the series, so you don't have to fawn over degrading art quality which long runing series series are notorious for.
The soundtrack of Steins; Gate is rarely ever used, only in some particular dramatic moments. The opening and ending songs are great and have some catchy music to hum to.
Overall, the 25 episodes of the show are a wild scientific ride that will never bore the viewers and these are kept intact by likable characters and their interactions. The show is pretty light-hearted though it does get dark somewhere around the middle. But it only makes you want to stick along for the journey, and at the end it leaves off on a satisfying note.
Overall, this is one of the best anime productions to ever exist. You will certainly want to see more of these characters when you're done with the show but there's Steins;Gate 0 coming for that.😉 GET ON THE HYPE TRAIN!!!!!

This review contains some spoilers...
To be honest, I had high hopes for this anime. I mean, the plot gave off a Death Note vibe so I was really looking forward to all the psychological battles and witty interaction. But boy, was I dissapointed.
The anime handles the most disgusting prospects of horror VERY poorly: from child rape, to sex between 14-year olds, to gay relationships between fourteen year olds, to death matches between 3 year olds and 14 year olds and everything else lewd concerning 14 year olds. This could have been a great aspect of the show to give it a horror vibe but 75%
...
of the show is so downright comical that you can't even take things seriously. There are zombies, mask freak caling himself a hero of justice, a bombproof serial killer (wtf?), a solo "international" terrorist in her early 20s, a child psychopath, and whatnot. Seriously, the plot is so full of plotholes, lazy writing, absurd plot twist, and stupid scenes followed by stupid character decisions that it makes you double-check what the genre of the show is. Also, under the pretext of trying to be a seinen anime, the anime tries to offer me the boobs of 14-year olds as fan service consistently throughout the series. There is a scene where the female protagonist Yuno Gasai pees in a room, for no apparent reason than to make the viewer feel those moments as being "deep" and "psychological" And thats only one of those instances. The plot is fairy stable at first, but towards the end it gets so convoluted and made-up, it almost turns into a fairy tale.
The characters are the worst part of the entire series, possibly the worst in anime history. There's this wimp called Yukiteru Amane that we have the misfortune of having to call our main protagonist, who never develops throughout the entire series. The bastard is so inconsistent in his actions that it will make you cringe and question if he has a dual personality or something. And let me tell you, the wimp doesn't mind kissing and banging a psychotic serial killer in one one moment while despising and doubting her the next. There is an instance where he tries to make friends with a girl who straight-up tried to murder him literally a minute ago. Seriously, what the hell? Undoubtedly the worst written character in anime history.
Then comes the yandere bitch known as Yuno Gasai who has no real personality or reason. One moment she goes all out for protecting "Yukki"*head bursts* and the next she is trying to kill him herself. What the actual F*CK?!. She is only there to provide for some gore and entertainment, other than that she is the most annoying yandere ever.
The rest of the characters are almost all pathetic, save for two of my personal favorites: Uryu Minene and Aru Akise who become plot devices near the end of the series.
The series also tries to make the viewers sympathize with the serial killers and psychopaths by putting up some bullshit backstory that doesn't nearly justify their course of action. There are diary holders so twisted you will wonder if Deus is a god of idocracy to even chose them as his successors. He is a worthless god who has no regard for humanity. What a jerk.
The soundtrack is mostly good and fits well with the scenes of the show, and I have to say the first opening is really good. The second opening as well as the endings were good enough.
The art looks good in some instances but during action scenes it looks abslutely mediocre. The characters when thry run look like they are running on a treadmill. And sometimes the character proportions look so out of place they look like wax figures melting. However there WERE moments where the art was fun to watch.
The series was one which was filled to the brim with potential for a good watch, but it ends up downright lame and forced. The characters are dumb as fuck, and the battles are often a total letdown. The supposed "successors" are so psychotic and senseless, they'd straight-up kill all humans if they ever became God. The show also implies that God can't revive a dead person with the same soul for some reasons. I mean...God? The handler of the entire Universe??
Overall, I believe the show would have been fairly enjoyable because it handles some aspects of seinen quite well but ended ended up being a mediocre clusterf*ck of nosensical writing and direction.

So now that the manga has ended its serialization and the anime still continues to spew endless filler for no reason other than to milk as much money as possible, I am writing a review to explain to you why Naruto: Shippuden was a promising anime that went downhill since the first episode.
The story of Naruto is an interesting and unique one. Its something that hasn't been told too often and it has a great setting. But the anime does a very poor job of executing it. There are a few canon episodes, then a plethora of fillers appear out of nowhere, so that when
...
the canon story continues from where it left off, I have somewhat lost my hype on what was happening before the filler. This is even more prominent towards the end of the series, which is where there's supposed to be excitement above all else. The fillers themselves are so bad they ruin the characters' personalities to some extent. The canon episodes are dragged on by the same flashbacks so many times you'll start feeling sleepy. The characters' backstories, especially Naruto's, are shown so many times, you won't even feel sentimental anymore. There were some great story arcs like the Pain arc, but the rest all drag on and on.
Speaking of characters, Naruto has some of the best characters in anime, hands down. Protagonists like Naruto, Shikamaru, Kiba etc and antagonists like Itachi, Nagato, Madara are some of the best ever in anime history. But I feel that as the series progresses, the series starts focusing too much on Naruto and Sasuke and leaves out interesting supporting characters. Even the notoriously bad guys are somehow turned into good guys through some bullshit backstory so that they MUST turn good before they die, even evil-F*CKING-Madara. so the series kinda ruins the characters it brought up, though I wouldn't say they are bad.
The animation too goes downhill since the beginning, and this is one of the worst aspects of the show. Too many still images, too many flashbacks, too long recaps are all there to increase the runtimes and save up some budget. There were some arcs that were decently animated, but others are sloppy and still to the point I sometimes thought my computer froze.
The soundtrack has a great Ninja-esque felling to it, and it unique and in most instances, pretty catchy. Most of the opening songs are great while the endings are average (I guess). The voice acting is done greatly, as one would expect of anime (lol). The dub, of course, is terrible.WATCH THE CAPTIONS!!!!!
Overall, Naruto is good if you ignore the plethora of fillers, the sloppy animation and the terrible dragging on of its episodes, but that just can't be ignore can they?
