First review on MAL!
Well, i had give up Fate/Stay Night a long time ago at episode 12... I re-watched it with TV-Reprodution to remind the plot and the characters. Fate was my very first Type-Moon anime, and I think it really conveys the to "Type-mooned" feelings : lot of talking about the characters, about mysteries and, First Time I watched it, I was really, really bored about that. But I think with Fate, you really have to enter in the universe to appreciate it, no words are useless, and you will be get by the anime at one time! Personnaly, I can't deny it: i
...
get a bit bored by the 12 first episodes, but the suit is sure sort of epic and awesome... When I think about this show now, I realize that he was godd from the beginning to the end.
--------
Now, let's concentrate on story.
The plot is quite ejoyable: 7 master summon each 7 servants who will fight with them into the Grall War. The winning team will own the Holy Grall whitch can fullfil all your wishes Here, the story concentrates on Emiya Shirô, a normal boy who had weak magic powers. One day, the servant Saber appears in his warehouse. Emiya will face the 6 others servants and masters, dealing with his and Saber's past, and her motivations to get the Holy Grall.
I have nothing more to say about the story, I give the maximum score, because, the story is very well exploited, and is sort of complex, despite the quite simple orignal plot.
For the art, I have nothing to say either. I love the style of Type-Moon graphisms, and it fits so well with Fate/SN. I get a bit bored by some talking scenes when the characters do not move so much, but it's compensed by the beautiful animations of fight scenes
Next step is music. The OST composed by Kenji Kawaii is just awesome. When I watch an anime, the OST is one of the first things I pay a particular attention too. The music convey us the feelings of great medieval battles, and always go well with the animation. To talk quickly about the OPs/EDs, well I am not a big fan of Tanaika Sachi, but "Disillusion" still a nice song.
For characters, well, I think I already have talked a bit about it. Every characters has his own personnality, even Emiya hasn't a too cliched character for a hero. The servants are all more awesome than the others, if I have to pick a favorite, it would be Assasin or Lancer... The secondary characters like Tohsaka are also good. Nothing more to say about this category, every one will find his own favorite.
Finally, this anime was very enjoyable. The ending didn't disapoint me at all (maybe beacause I know I would watch Fate/zero just after), I think I'll maybe re-watch in when I will have time. In the end, I think Fate/Stay Night, is one of the anime you must try to watch, I know everyone is not fan of the Type-Moon way of dealing with story. Accorded to my feelings, I think Fate is not the best Type-Moon anime to begin with. To familiarise with the atmosphere of these animes, I'll advise you too watch Kara No Kyoukai or Tsukihime first. If you are already a T-M fan and if you didn't watch F/SN (whitch would be surprising), just go and watch it.
