(1)Non-spoiler:
Vivy is a well-crafted anime. I liked how the episodes kept building up as mini-arcs. I hated the last arc, as it seemed rushed. But all the other arcs were natural and beautifully made. She keeps on showing how much more human she is compared to actual human beings.
Also the various AI deaths that we witness throughout this anime truly felt horrific, as in, it was just as if a human had died.
Even if the ending wasn't done well, Vivy is still a must watch.

There are 5 arcs in this anime: introduction, AI twin sisters tragedy, human-ai love tragedy, ai-ai love ... tragedy, and the ending arc.

The first four are really good(episodes 1 to 9). All the other AI we see in these episodes were naturally having their aura radiate.
My favourite was the human-ai love tragedy, especially the scene where Vivy had AI blood on one hand and the human one on the other. That was the moment of true horror for her.

In episode 10, the thing I hated the most was that the Doc was able to figure out time-travel but not the actual real problem, i.e. the Archive being the cause of the AI-Human war.

Also, we never once saw Vivy properly performing, she did sing in the last episode but it was rushed up, and it also made no sense that the archive was choosing to destroy humanity based on just whether Vivy is able to sing or not. The archive as an antagonist required more time for character growth. By the last episode I genuinely felt connected to all characters introduced in these 13 episodes except the Archive.

All this being said, the prior four arcs are gem stories!

9/10 rating for episodes 1 to 9.

Must watch, at least till episode 9, then you may stop. There are some intense moments throughout these 9 episodes. If it was just these 9, I would have rated it 8/10.
Story ain't linear rather episodic and although I usually hate if it ain't linear, I did like how well the episodes came out to be, because the characters had so much to offer us story-wise. They come up in their raw form showing various ranges of emotions in each individual.
Special appreciation for episodes 8 and 9. These two are the gem episodes of Death Parade.

Death Parade becomes problamatic from episode 10, that episode was okaish. Episode 11 and 12 were the boring ones. If Decim was required to be given more depth he needed more episodes to have his emotional aspect shown properly and and not just two final episodes to rush it up into. Mayu's departure into the void made no sense. Also the more the story explains the concept of orbiters, the more I wonder is it meant to show that their entire way of judging was already flawed? Well, actually that's what Nona way trying to do; even then did it really take so many years to arrive at this conclusion? I kinda don't like it. If they had kept me in the dark regarding orbiter politics and just dealt more gently with Decim's emotional angle I would have liked the show more.

(1) Non-spoiler:

Ergo Proxy is filled with philosophies of the individual and the collective. It doesn't wear a mask of illusion at any stage of its journey. Re-L and Vincent Law are the two beings we look the world thorough in this artwork of an anime. Both of these characters go through life in its reality.

Character depth is something that's very much present in this anime.
Story-wise it failed to give a proper ending but had a good beginning and middle. Pacing is slow but it was necessary so that the characters could glow. The story needed more space, ... after episode 18. The ending part needed more episodes. So probably the show shoud have being of 30ish or so episodes.

(2) Spoiler:

Everything was good until episode 18, well even episode 20(A proxy making Vincent ponder over reality and his existence as an alternate persona of Re-L) was nice to see. But episodes 19, 21, 22, 23. could have being done differently or more episodes were needed to elaborate the proxy angle of Vincent and his connection to the creator. The final episode felt rushed. Episode 15 was a filler yet not totally bad. But episode 19 as a filler was unnecessary, Pino didn't need an entire episode in smile land... a few minutes there and then the dynamic outplay between Re-L, Vince and Pino would have being much better. She saw a vision of herself being in smile land; I wanted the aftereffect of it to be seen more, and not more screentime of those pathetic characters of smile land.

Pino felt like someone who brought life in the gloomy world of Re-L and Vincent.
Iggy was a good character.
Doctor and the Security Chief were kinda one-dimensional and annoying.
Re-L's bitchhood saw a downhall which was good.


(3) Closure:
In totality, Ergo Proxy delves deep into the mind and is defo something that should be watched.

(1)Spoilers for the prequel upto some extent, and no spoilers for the movie:

Violet Evergarden learnt slowly to become a human in the prequel.
The problem with this movie is the filler stuff: The first 30ish minutes felt unnecessary, maybe they could have shortened it. Proceeding form there, the plotline introduced was good, but I felt they kept dragging it a lot(this was more suited to be brought in the prequel), especially intertwining it with the absolutely important plot of Violet in the last 40ish minutes of the movie.

I feel, Violet's character growth has frozen after episode 11 of the prequel, ... she has completely changed in the course of the said 11 episodes but the movie doesn't potray anything new.



All this said, the movie still ain't that bad, and I feel Violet's story got a proper ending.

(2) SPOILER:

She got what she desired the most. I am happy for her, I would have liked only this aspect of the movie to be shown, maybe elaborated even more.

The hospital kid's story did not have to be dragged while Violet was having the worst time of her Life, that was cruel and also gives her story less weightage.

The worst plotlines was about the grand-daughter of the girl who received letters for 50 years after her mother's death. I didnt like any part of this in the movie.
