Both animes are set in the medieval Japan. MCs travel through the land. Lots of action, katana (sword) fights and adventure.

Both shows have the same vibe, with weird anthropomorphic characters that look like aliens. Both focus on action and magic. When you will watch any of them, you will surely be reminded of the other. Although they have the same atmosphere, the story and progress is very different. The gore and sanity in Dorohedoro, by the way, is more.

If you liked Durarara!! add

...then you might like Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens add

The whole time I watched Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens I was reminded of Durarara. Both anime is about a city (Durarara is about Ikebukuro and Hakata Ramens is about Hakata) and focuses on the crimes, gangs, hitmen of the city. Both anime have the same vibe going on. But Hakata Ramens is off the common sense when it comes to the day to day activities of the city, specially the hitman business. Durarara is more on supernatural. Durarara has a more light theme. I can't say you will love Hakata Ramens if you loved Durarara. The setting and the vibe may be similar, but Durarara has more depth in the story and characters.

It's like ctrl+C , ctrl+V. Clannad and Kanon are similar in everything. The Art is same, the Soundtracks are similar. The characters are similar. One guy who is the protagonist. Many girls. But MC chooses the chubbiest one. Interaction with Ghost of a person in coma. Miraculous happenings.

If you liked Golden Time add

...then you might like Isshuukan Friends. add

In both of the anime, the protagonist has to deal with the lost memory. In Golden Time the MC loses his memory till High school and in Isshukan Friends the love interest of MC loses her memory every week. The settings are different and how the people deal with each other are different, though. But when I was watching Golden TIme, I couldn't but reminisce about Isshukan Friends. That's why I ended up making this recommendation.

If you liked Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood add

...then you might like Shingeki no Kyojin add

Fullmetal Alchemist (FA) has super humans or homunculus that preys on humans. Shingeki no Kyojin has Titans doing the same thing. Both anime is about the survival of human against a stronger species. Both are packed with action. Both anime have protagonists aging about 15-16 years old. Both have characters having European names. Both anime belong to the Military genre.

...then you might like Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. add

Both of the anime have unique protagonists who do not go with the flow. They are different than others. They don't take the roles of a hero. Although, both of the anime have romantic relations buliding slowly, they are not about romance.
