Hey man you should watch Code Geass if you are into Mechs and comedy. Oh, also have you watched movies made by Miyazaki, Hayao? His movies are classic, such as Mononoke Hime, Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi, and Tonari no Totoro. More recent ones are good too, like Howl's moving castle.

Here is a list of movies I recommend directed by him:
Howl no Ugoku Shiro,
Majo no Takkyuubin,
Mononoke Hime, (must watch)
Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi,
Tenkuu no Shiro Laputa,
Tonari no Totoro

Just give Mononoke Hime a try first, if you do like it you should check out the rest on the list, they are extremely fun to watch.
