Hey man you should watch Code Geass if you are into Mechs and comedy. Oh, also have you watched movies made by Miyazaki, Hayao? His movies are classic, such as Mononoke Hime, Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi, and Tonari no Totoro. More recent ones are good too, like Howl's moving castle.
