I would categorize this manga as:
- Action: there's a lot of fighting and a lot of stuff going on in general;
- Dark: this takes place in a dystopia, and right from the first chapter, you can get a pretty good idea of what to expect from this world;
- Gore: there's quite a significant amount of it, right from the start;
- Drama: serious tone, in general;
- Comedy: some character(s) in particular bring quite a few funny moments;
- Supernatural: people with "blessings", AKA super powers.
Story: 7/10
Now I will say right here that, even though this was published as a shounen, this story is relatively dark and gory,
...
so if that's not your thing, look elsewhere.
This part is the most volatile for me. It was great up until volume 6. It left me with a pretty "meh" feeling afterwards. The ending wasn't necessarily bad, it's just that the final few volumes to reach that ending didn't keep me as interested as the first 5. It changes tone quite heavily and starts focusing much more on the mental state of a few characters.
I think the story was made interesting by the characters and their goals. In the end, the heavy change of tone from volume 6 onward kind of didn't really blend in well for me.
Art: 6/10
The art is ok. There are many panels where it's actually hard to tell in what position some of the characters are, particularly in action scenes.
Characters: 9/10
I think the characters are the most interesting part of this manga. The main character is understandably losing his mind. Then we get a few people who, somehow, and despite him, still stick around the main character. We get to see that, well it's a dystopia, and none of them's had it easy. It doesn't really try to be a tearjerker about it. I think it mostly just serves the purpose of setting the table on the behaviors of the people in this context, what little reason they have left to live, what their motives are and why. We also obviously get a few typical dystopian characters just ready to do anything to survive.
Enjoyment: 8/10
Overall, I enjoyed this manga, but I have to admit that volumes 6-8 were a little bit boring. The first 5 volumes were great. The ending was fine, but the journey from volume 6 to the ending kind of underwhelming.

As per usual, let's start with the categorization:
- Action
- Mystery
- Supernatural / Sci-Fi (unclear based on the story by volume 6)
- Over-the-top: this isn't really a category, but it's worth mentioning for this, the action scenes are very over-the-top and not realistic at all.
- Drama: despite its over-the-top nature, there isn't much comedy outside of that, it tends to have a more serious tone. There's one character that tends to do silly stuff, but he doesn't get much panel time.
Story: 6/10
The premise / synopsis for this is quite original for me. The story is interesting and has a lot of potential. However, it is only
...
6 volumes long, so not too many of the mysteries get answered. The sequel hasn't been licensed yet in English, so I have no idea if this story will get an interesting continuation or not. That makes it hard to judge, so I kind of have to only consider what I know from reading these 6 volumes..
There are interesting things happening in those 6 volumes, but I just wanted to get more of it and get more answers. Ultimately, it feels inconclusive and I'm just hoping that the sequel will be licensed in English at some point.
Art: 9/10
The art is great, the backgrounds are generally well done, the characters are easily identifiable. I usually don't have much to say in this section other than for outliers, so let's leave it at that.
Characters: 8/10
I'm always more interested when the characters are NOT in school. In this case, the characters are mostly relatable because, while they are immortal, they go about their daily lives in a similar fashion to how we do. Work your day off, go to have a beer after work with friends once in a while.
We get to explore only one or two characters more in depth in those 6 volumes, but given how short this is, I don't think you could do too much more. You mostly get to learn their motives and the forces at play behind them.
Enjoyment: 7/10
My enjoyment for this is hard to rate, and it ties back in to my points about the story. I liked the experience this provided, but the reasons why are very much conditional to some unknowns.
If this was the ending point for the whole series (e.g. the sequel turns out to be bad, just as inconclusive or never gets translated), then I would be very dissatisfied, as this is not a conclusion by any means, hardly any of the mysteries are solved. I feel like this series was meant to run for more than 6 volumes.
As such, with my current knowledge and having only read these 6 volumes, I feel like this is an inconclusive manga. However, it has me hooked and wanting to know how the story will unfold in the sequel.

This manga is ok, but nothing special. I don't regret buying it, but I will be selling it now, as don't feel I need to hold on to it, I won't be re-reading it.
I would tag this with:
- Action
- Dark
- Super Powers
Story: 6/10
To be honest, I liked the story up the point where the anime ended (same story as in the anime, the anime covered about half the manga), and slightly afterwards too. It was interesting, there are some real setbacks, and I like when some of the main characters don't have plot armor. The ending however, was just so bad in my opinion...
...
The main character suddenly becomes capable of doing something super complex after being depicted as your average guy (specifically not being super smart) for the whole manga. Not only that, all his friends all allies decide to bet on that too. I don't want to spoil too much, so I will remain vague, but that was a weird ending... And it wasn't satisfying for me.
Art: 7/10
The art is consistent and good, not great. The backgrounds aren't always very detailed. I honestly don't have much else to say about the art. It doesn't stand out, but it's not bad.
Characters: 7/10
There are a few likeable characters, most notably the female main character and one of her friends, as well as the muscle guy. The main character is cool in that is your typical dumb protagonist, but he doesn't fit the stereotype you expect either. He knows he's not the smartest, nor the greatest, he doesn't have the "never give up and yell about it" attitude and feels very real. I had a positive impression of the characters overall. Some of the villains also had interesting personalities.
Enjoyment: 6/10
I really liked it up to slightly after the anime ends (slightly past halfway through the manga). I like a few of the characters, even felt kind of empathic for some of the villains. The final arc and ending really ruined it for me though.

Interesting manwha if you liked Hellsing and similar things where a bunch of crazy people want to fight and kill each other.
I would tag this with:
- Action
- Dark
- Horror (mostly gore, there is no psychological horror)
- Supernatural
Story: 5/10
While the start is nothing too special, it does get quite interesting towards the end, where certain characters finally begin to evolve and change / develop. Unfortunately, this all comes to a quick end, because the story ends right as the female MC becomes more interesting.
...
The ending itself is also pretty damn disappointing, the manga had a dark feel to it the whole way through, and then it ends on a happily ever after note and, while the main villain is dealt with, none of the other rivalries are solved and now no one wants to fight each other anymore. This was the biggest disappointment for me and this might've been a 8-9 with a better ending.
Art: 7/10
The art is good. The fighting scenes were sometimes hard to figure out the exact movements of the characters, which is an issue for my as I like to look at panels for a while, playing the scene in my head.
Characters: 8/10
This is probably the most volatile section for this manwha. If you don't like crazy characters that love fighting and killing, much like in Hellsing, then you will not like the characters here.
For me, this is great, so I liked most of the characters. The female MC also got very interesting towards the end, unfortunately, this wasn't explored much as the story ended shortly after. You also get to learn more about Helmina further into the story, but their personalities remain largely the same throughout the story.
As you can guess from the last sentence, there is not much character development here, though that's always hard to judge as most of the cast are adults, and so typically less subject to significant personality changes, or at least changes typically occur slower. This manwha is clearly not about character development though, so I didn't let it bother me.
Enjoyment: 7/10
Enjoyable series if you like crazy people fighting and wanting to kill each other. This series is not about character development or teaching some lesson or moral, so if you're looking for deeper meaning, this will not satisfy you. The ending definitely took off a few points (as mentionned in the story section) from my enjoyment here, otherwise this would've probably been a 9-10 for enjoyment.

Seeing as there's no review of the completed manga and other reviews are all quite old... here's my (spoiler-free) review of this underrated manga.
I would categorize this manga as:
- Action: a bunch of battle scenes;
- Drama: serious tone and not much comedy;
- Mystery: much of the story has the characters investigating and trying to find information to solve the mysteries surrounding mototsumitama;
- Supernatural: story revolves around supernatural beings and the mysteries surrounding them and their powers.
Also of note is that this manga trends more towards being dark than light-hearted. It's no horror manga that just kills all the characters left and right, but there is
...
no convenient revive mechanic for characters that die, no nakama power to save the day, no random power-up.
Story: 10/10
The story starts off giving the vibe of a battle manga early on, but it is much more than that. The characters quickly begin looking for information to carry out their initial plans. From there they begin their journey and meet more characters and slowly uncover the mysteries surrounding these supernatural beings.
It feels as though the series wanted to run for 20-25 volumes (at the end, the pace picks up very fast and many things are revealed in a short amount of time compared to the rest of the series), so it feels slightly rushed, but it is done so well and gracefully that I couldn't bother to remove a point here. There is no convenient plot point added anywhere, and everything fits the story and seems to have been well planned out from the start. Particularly, I liked that there are many details explained in the later volumes which have essentially no impact on the story, but are nice things to know and make the world seem more real and well planned.
Art: 9/10
The art is great, and the characters are all very distinct (except some twins, but hey, twins I guess) and the art style is very unique itself (perhaps because it is done in Korea?). Some of the battle scenes are harder to follow (I like to stare at panels to play the scene in my head, imagining exactly what movements they are doing, and sometimes it was hard here).
Characters: 9/10
Characters are all believable. This story has characters in their early to mid 20s (they finished college and are working), so the character development is slow (as you'd expect after you reach that age I guess, you change a lot less, and slower), but present none the less. More so than character development, you learn to know the characters more over time and change your impressions of them (don't really want to spoil anything, so let's leave it at that).
The villains have real motives, particularly towards the end. It sometimes has you wondering if the villains are actually right in what they are trying to do... The very last villains are also quite true to their character and they were very interesting to me.
Enjoyment: 9/10
Very enjoyable series overall with a satisfying ending, especially when compared to a lot of manga who typically seem to go downhill after a few volumes. The story culminates in intense points in volumes 7-10 and 16-19, with a quieter pace for the rest, but it was good the whole way through. I also really enjoyed the flashback volume(s) toward the end of the series which explains a lot of what was left unexplained.
