Hey guys. My name is Sam and I'm a pretty avid anime watcher. I have recently gone through and changed scores around on my Anime List, so things should be much more clean and telling. Now you really know what I like and what I don't like, so it should be much more easy to tell if we'll get along or not! I hope we can all get along!

My favorite anime is Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, and I've also recently gotten very into Makoto Shinkai's works, such as 5 Centimeters Per Second, or of course, Kimi no Na wa.

I've been watching anime since early childhood, starting out with shows like Wolf's Rain, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, and Inuyasha. I never got into the Pokemon, Yu-gi-oh, Digimon etc. fads, as all my card game time was taken up by Magic: The Gathering, but I still have a soft spot in my heart for Digimon.

My favorite types of anime are powerful ones, that really evoke emotion and move me. The more inspiring an anime is, the more I like it. For example, Gurren Lagann and Summer Wars.

I'm pretty into Visual Novels, so if you're a like-minded individual, send me a message and we can chat! I'm always looking to play more great VN's, so please throw me some recommendations. My favorite VN at the moment is Fate/stay Night, which has amazing writing I wish the anime series could get across (though it almost makes up for it in the stunning action scenes) I also occasionally do some translation work for Japanese VN's, so if you use VN Reader, you may come across me there, too.

I studied abroad in Japan at Aoyama Gakuin, located in Shibuya, Tokyo. It was a wonderful experience, and the people I met and places I went I will never forget. I'm currently working in Sapporo, Japan, as an English teacher. I eventually plan to return home and obtain my Master's Degree in International Negotiation, so that I can pursue a job as a foreign service officer.
