This show is not about robots. It has a more deeper meaning behind it.
As an LN reader i can say the adaptation so far really good.
Story: In the first few eps we get to know the world of the "pigs" and the albas, and if you are don't like mecha that much i think aside from that you can still enjoy this show. (And the pacing is pretty good too.)
The art is pretty good, i dont understand the people who brags about how trash it is. If it wouldn't be CGI the costs of this anime would be in the sky.

So where do i start...
I actually watched it 3 months ago and now i rewatched the whole series. Before rewatching i gave it an 8. But after that, i have actually considered giving it a ten. Why? Because its actually funny. Yeah i know the jokes are predictable etc... But if you are not thinking about whats coming next and actually enjoying how the friend group fails every time, and the chemistry among them, its not just funny its also wholesome. This rom-com anime is fckn wholesome. Its a strong cure for depression.
The story is very simple and this is what i like at this show. Its about a lonely guy who is another person outside the school, and a popular girl who is also another person outside the school. We have other side characters, and ofc they will become friends. This is what the first few eps are about.
