The drawing style of both anime looks very alike. The main character is a powerful yet a dumb and therefor a funny person. Both anime got the "Nakama" factor.

First of all, both anime contain quite an amount of violence and bloodshed so plenty of action. Also nudity is included and Mnemosyne goes a little further in this. These anime are not rated R for nothing. The main characters in these anime are played by (large breasted) women, they end up in a lot of fights but the personalities can't be compared. I'd say Elfen Lied is a little more sensitive and easier (less hard) to understand. Mnemosyne really needs your attention while watching and takes it somewhat to the next level regarding nudity (yuri, rape) compared to elfen lied. It can get very close to hentai at some points but doesn't cross that border.

It also involves romance and therefore Vampire Knight Guilty is a shoujo anime while Hellsing Ultimate is a shounen anime.

Vampires! Doh~! Both anime's are about a organization that gets rid of vampires. The main character works for this organization and is a vampire himself, so to speak. Even though these main characters look very alike they are also very different. Their personality is not the same at all. Abel (Trinity Blood) is a kindhearted priest while Alucard (Hellsing) is more like this fierce vampire hunter, seeking a good fight. Alucard fights with ferocity and often extreme cruelty, rarely intending to kill until his target has been disabled and humiliated. But don't be fooled, Abel might be a kindhearted priest but once he gets into battle he becomes very serious! The other difference between those two is that Abel fights with some sort of creepy Scythe weapon and Alucard uses guns against his opponent. Also both the main characters meet a girl whom they become friends with somewhere in the beginning of the anime. Abel meets Esther and Alucard meets Victoria. The rest is the action, killing and bloodshed.

Both shounen anime with lots and lots of episodes. The main characters posses super powers and use them for the good. Dragonball Z is a little more serious than one piece. Goku and Luffy both are fond of food which brings some of the same humor. The creator of One Piece, Eiichiro Oda, had his work influenced by Akira Toriyama's Dragonball Z.

Both anime's are a bit older (nineties). Both the main characters are samurai's and meet a woman during the story. Both anime's are quite serious and got action, violence and bloodshed. The differences are more or less that ninja scroll has some more nudity and contains a slightly more humor. Also do Ninja Scroll and Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuiokuhen have some sort of sequel (series) but that's quite irrelevant for these stories.

One Piece and Bleach are both shounen anime's, have a lot of episodes (and are still airing). They both contain adventure, action and comedy. One piece is less serious, has more comedy and therefore bleach is the more serious type of those two. Bleach plays somewhere around the presence while One Piece is completely mixed. I'd say it's a few years back but they already got bazooka's for example. Also here again, less serious. Both the main characters have a special power. Ichigo (Bleach) is a Shinigami and Luffy (One Piece) is a Rubber Man.

Another thing is that both anime's are only a few episodes long.
