There's so much about this movie that I enjoyed that I'm actually glad this got the praise it got. It may seem just bland at first but it's actually really emotional and pretty heartbreaking. While it obviously ended in a good note, these two trying to understand each other is just so realistic in the world today. The constant awkwardness between them which made so much sense too and I'm glad they were vulnerable in their own way.
The characters all show out including Mai and the librarian. I did get shocked when Tsuneo had the accident and I really did believe he was out disabled

One of the few animes I've watched back in 2018 and can't really remember much about it. I don't even know if I finished it or not. Glad to return it to complete it and I can't say I was satisfied. This anime gets really boring quick and the lore gets so all over the place. It has it's moments for sure but struggles to get memorable.

Before I start the review, let me just say that this is the only anime where I listen to the intro and the outro for all episodes. It's just amazing hearing the dark menacing intro song then we have the emotional outro song. Gungrave is one of those animes where you just want more of. It provides so much quality that you're confused on why it isn't all that known.

This OVA episode clearly takes place before Ayumi's sudden death and it honestly should've been included in the main series. The ability wielders the group comes across are arrogant and greedy but Iori here is the complete opposite. She's afraid of her newfound ability and doesn't use her power for selfish reasons. She's actually scared of her power which could be realistic in some scenarios.
Obviously this episode doesn't just focus on her. The dynamic between Tomari and Yuu develop here as well, looking platonic. Obviously if you've finished the original series, you know it developed into something deeper but I'm glad they showed the ...

This anime is a real tearjerker but a good watch all the way. I honestly did not expect this to be that sad. The first few episodes felt calm and honestly satirical of this concept. Elementary school children having half-assed supernatural abilities doing mystery hunts? That felt like the premise until we get more lore and tragic events start to take place. The most notable one is the death of Ayumi which shifted the entire series to a much more darker tone.

My thoughts are really conflicting. Kaichou wa Maid-sama is an anime that I've been wanting to finish. I remember watching this years ago and thinking about how unique the dynamic was. I can't quite remember why I stopped watching but now I did and it's certainly not how I remembered. This anime is known for the two main characters, Usui and Ayuzawa, above all. In fact, they carry the series heavy.
The "perverted stalker alien" Usui is memorable for a reason. He does act in ways many people cannot. He's also portrayed as amazing. Ayuzawa is different, she's actually despised by the guys but glorified by ...

This is one of the few animes that I have seen that I was deeply invested in how that story was gonna close. Just like how the message was in the beginning of the series, "I wanna see how this dream would end" is exactly how I would feel. Nomad goes even further in expanding the depth and humanity of this fictional boxing series. By the time it ended, it didn't even feel like a boxing anime anymore. The boxing felt more of a cope after all we've been shown.

You know when you say you're an anime fan and everyone stares at you like a loser? Well animes like this are the very reason why they do that. This anime fits that weird creepy stereotype that the casual person would think. It obviously isn't sexually explicit but still has innuendos that would suggest so. Even the villains are like this.
The show is based on this obsession with twin tails and how it magically leads to a battle with monsters who thrive off this obsession in which they become little heroines fighting. It sounds bad enough already but it devolved into obsession into other things ...

I have much respect for anime that keeps you in the edge of your toes and Death Note exceeded in that. The ever so popular Death Note, I have finally finished after previously watching this a couple of years ago. Megalo Box is an interesting thriller that needs more recognition. While I do find Hajime No Ippo as my favorite boxing anime, this one may just take the cake depending on how good Season 2 is. It follows the same path but teaches you different things. Both portray underdog behemoths but one is wanting opportunity while one is finding purpose. One had significantly more difficult path though.
