As it was released on 2007, the animation cannot be compared to animation today. But, watching it after 17 years feels nostalgic on its own.
The most thing I can say is that this is worth watching after reviewing todays animation which only focus on the graphics and art but not entirely on the quality of the story. And if there's still have both, it's very rare. There can proudly declare that old animes are the best in delivery of the quality and and application of that quality in their animation.
*Disappointed with anime enthusiast nowadays since they only focus on the great art. If
...
it is not the fight scene, then the faces (e.g. Gojo). But, if you ask about the entire story, they don't know how to respond. 😔😔
For this anime, you can see at least the values and quality of the characters and their development. It's like princess resurrection in art with a little humorous part in the story. Most of the episode have more serious tone on it like claymore but focus on the goal of the story still. It also doesn't have a touch of romance which is great since most anime today are too mediocre in terms of the application of their genre, it also makes the story goes haywire that the viewer doesn't know when and how will it end/ the goal is confusing per se like Moshuko Tensei which is still popular in until 2024.
Only negative I've observed is that, this is too short. But shorts will help you understand that you are watching for 3 hours when you thought it is only been 30 min. And most of shorts have less talking scene which are irrelevant to the story. 😆
At last, I would say it's not on par with One Piece or Naruto, but it is better in goal than Fairytail and Bleach. And, it's worth spending time with. But beware, since the story is too short, it will leave you hanging.. 😆😆
*For newbs out there, I can recommend that you should watch first the old anime before new anime like berserk, evangelion, if not, then one piece, and hunterxhunter (1999) if you want a popular 1999 anime and such since there is a quality in the story and than focus on art. But, of you watch only because of the art, then these recommendation are not for you. Just appreciate every art (literature, visual art, etc.) since many put effort and feelings on each and give a reasonable criticism if it really is to be criticized.

Since I've dropped this at episode 3, then I'll just explain why.
We all know that isekai are very typical nowadays. Same story, same world, all the same. The only exception is the plot and art itself.
This is in my opinion and at least can be considered
1. Foundation of the story. The story has many expectation when the 1st episode always aired. It really is unbelievable that they are all catchy and the bait of wanting to watch more. However, that didn't applied to this anime. The time skip is too fast that it feels like his whole childhood and magic growth was entirely
...
useless. It's like he just snapped a finger, and whoosh -- he's already an adult with powers which really is not my cup of tea. Since, as portrayed, he developed his power from childhood. He's not isekaied as monster or a demon who suddenly grow after three weeks. Thus, no foundation whatsoever on what's going to happened or at least the clue of the goal of the story. Just -- "Cool, and Awesome Grandson of the Genius Magician" sort of thing. 😎🤓
2. Art. I would say, it is typical art similar to other isekai which will not stand out but, if the plot is not good, why did they not put effort on the art to get at least more viewers. People based their emotions on the five senses and video only uses 2 which is the most important one. And redundancy is not what people like especially in the art of music and visual. And most art shows emotion which I guess applied to this... a little. But, this is not really important in my end. 😅
3. Lastly, and very important is the value and quality that the anime provides. The reason why I love past(old) animes is due to the lines and the thoughts of the character have that give me a reason to believe that anime is not only for kids, but gives courage to adults. But, this anime is too counterintuitive that I even give it a chance after the first episode but, it really is not worth my time. I cannot forget the phrase the character said here that -- his friends should get out of there reasoning out that they are getting in the way. I wonder if calling teachers or authority even crosses his mind since they are in a school. In addition, it's like his common sense remain on the previous worl when he teleported which, I guess, make the story have a "comedy".
All in all, I still give the thumbs up for all the effort of the studio. But, stop choosing a simp over good mangas, please? If the plot is Seinen or Shounen, please focus first in action at hand before romance. Since there's no indication of romance genre in every article I've research just to make this review. 🫨🫨🫨😵💫😵💫

This is a VERY GOOD anime to GREAT... AT FIRST. It's still interesting to watch though, especially the 1st episode where they really make effort to gain more viewers for it. But as typical as it is, there's still MUCH MUCH BETTER isekai anime than this.
When other side characters, mostly females, started to appear, the craze of DISAPPOINTMENT began. The development of the character/s become TOO SLOW and the quality of the content is more like mediocare to average *hope they don't gone BAD as story progresses 😮💨*.
To those who are fond of cutesy cutesy girl and HAREM genre *since cutesy girl characters often
...
in a harem 🙄*. This anime is most likely to be on that person's liking.
