Since I've dropped this at episode 3, then I'll just explain why.
We all know that isekai are very typical nowadays. Same story, same world, all the same. The only exception is the plot and art itself.
This is in my opinion and at least can be considered
1. Foundation of the story. The story has many expectation when the 1st episode always aired. It really is unbelievable that they are all catchy and the bait of wanting to watch more. However, that didn't applied to this anime. The time skip is too fast that it feels like his whole childhood and magic growth was entirely useless. It's like he just snapped a finger, and whoosh -- he's already an adult with powers which really is not my cup of tea. Since, as portrayed, he developed his power from childhood. He's not isekaied as monster or a demon who suddenly grow after three weeks. Thus, no foundation whatsoever on what's going to happened or at least the clue of the goal of the story. Just -- "Cool, and Awesome Grandson of the Genius Magician" sort of thing. 😎🤓
2. Art. I would say, it is typical art similar to other isekai which will not stand out but, if the plot is not good, why did they not put effort on the art to get at least more viewers. People based their emotions on the five senses and video only uses 2 which is the most important one. And redundancy is not what people like especially in the art of music and visual. And most art shows emotion which I guess applied to this... a little. But, this is not really important in my end. 😅
3. Lastly, and very important is the value and quality that the anime provides. The reason why I love past(old) animes is due to the lines and the thoughts of the character have that give me a reason to believe that anime is not only for kids, but gives courage to adults. But, this anime is too counterintuitive that I even give it a chance after the first episode but, it really is not worth my time. I cannot forget the phrase the character said here that -- his friends should get out of there reasoning out that they are getting in the way. I wonder if calling teachers or authority even crosses his mind since they are in a school. In addition, it's like his common sense remain on the previous worl when he teleported which, I guess, make the story have a "comedy".
All in all, I still give the thumbs up for all the effort of the studio. But, stop choosing a simp over good mangas, please? If the plot is Seinen or Shounen, please focus first in action at hand before romance. Since there's no indication of romance genre in every article I've research just to make this review. 🫨🫨🫨😵💫😵💫
