I have mixed feelings about this one-shot. I would have prefered if they made a one-shot on someone like Madara or Indra and Asura, but Minato is a fan favourite, so of course we were going to see more of him, and honestly, I kind of wish we hadn't. This has the same issue as Mamma Mia: here we go again. It is a prequal based on events we already know enough about to not need a prequal. Bleach started out strong, and like most people who have consumed bleach, I believe it peaked too early with the soul society arc and slowly fell off from there.
I originally got into Bleach because somebody in my old social circle recommended it to me, and I decided that reading it would be faster and more rewarding. My main criticism is that everyone besides one or two characters is boring. I understand that Aizen is compelling, but it means nothing when no one else is interesting.
