I feel that this series serves as a useful microcosm of many things wrong with the anime industry (incomplete adaptations that provide no closure whatsoever at the end, poor animation, creating shows only to pander to the smallest niche imaginable because that niche buys lots of merch thus limiting their success and preventing the industry from having the resources to do anything but pander) but at the same time somehow found itself to be somewhat entertaining from an ironic standpoint.
