Let's be honest, the actual content of this anime isn't the greatest. But that isn't the point of the anime. Even though the story itself feels short-lived and not very developed, the art and animation remains beautiful without a doubt. In almost every aspect in terms of animation, it has went above and beyond. But for actual plot and story, it was very short and definitely would have done better if more episodes were added. Worth a watch for the art and animation, but not much else.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a 'fanboy' or any of that such. I simply enjoyed this anime so much. That may sound hypocritical, but let me clarify. Kill la Kill did not 'save' anime. That's just absurd. However, Kill la Kill was a great anime to me for a single reason: they made the most of 24 episodes. I've never watched an anime that was able to fit so much content within 24 episodes. Overall, the ANIME Akame Ga Kill was pretty average. I loved the show a lot, but the execution was horrible in many places. The first 18 around episodes were very good. At this point, it split from where the manga was headed and chose its own ending. The ending itself was not bad at all but could have done with more character development. Many of the characters had a backstory that was obviously planned but was simply never shown. After the first and second death, it simply came down to guessing who was next. Compared to the manga, this anime doesn't give it any glory.
