Daamn, yeah i don't think i have any memories from when pokemon aired as i was barealy 1 year old haha. And the closest thing i've been to was the pokemon Go festival that was in Jönköping back in 2016... almost forgot that was a thing.

Yeah i personally don't rewatch that much as i'd say im a completionist so i want to experience new anime all the time, but when im with friends i usually go for things i already have watched or for whatever they want to watch. And i feel like i got into ghibli way to late, saw my first ghibli movie i think 2017 maybe, i think they are good but i have no nostalgia to them. Though i really like mononoke hime.

I mean i think everyone has their personal hobbies and that everyone find new hobbies at any stages of their life, so you staying to anime since you were 4 isn't that strange, id say it shows more dedication and interest in your main hobbies. Personally i'd probably have stayed to anime if i knew anime was a thing when i was younger (thought pokemon or yu gi oh were just regular cartoons). So I'd say its just a matter of chance and how willing people are to dedicate themselves to their hobbies.

Ah yeah as i was born at the end of 98 then im probably waaay to young to have seen it. My earliest memories of anime on swedish television was yu gi oh sometime in 2002, soon after one of the swedish channels stopped airing it. But yeah i've never rewatched an anime more than once, if we don't count watching anime movies with friends. There my record is probably around 4 times on Princess Mononoke.

I've never really fandomed or feelt a connection to any anime yet, and i doubt I ever will but ill continue watching nonetheless haha

Yeah, I've never heard anyone say anything bad about Lotgh, the closest is that it starts of a bit slow but that isn't really a problem to me.

My alltime favorite is Mushishi, I really like it for its calm and mysterious nature with great world building etc
The other shows that I'd consider to like almost as much is Assassination Classroom, HxH 2011, Fate/Zero, Pingpong the Animation. With some more around the 9/10 mark :)

Yeah in that situation i can 100% get it. I used to be really picky with the length of the shows, even though i didn't really follow anything. Now im mostly just trying to watch up on the long ones as I as of late have gotten better at just focusing on one show. And i can see why you could watch hxh2011, I really like the developments and pacing.

I need to pick up sailor moon and lotgh some time soon, always wanted to but just never done it...

Yeah idk, i've gotten into the Completionist way of watching anime, so i have a hard time with things i can't complete, if its not extremely long so i can just watch up to for example ep 200 and then take a break from it.

Yeah i'd say im the opposite to that. I like to binge watch shows so i only have around 20 shows i can think of that i could place in a to watch list that i haven't watched yet. I usually also don't watch anime from the same year so for example i didn't watch much from 2019 last year but end up doing it the year after.

But i usually miss out on the "latest episode memes/discussion" as i'm almost never UTD on anything. Instead i rely on watching everything popular from between 2000-2018 (now including 2019 as it was just over).

And to top it all of, im just really bad at following series. I tend to forget that im watching a series if i see 1 epiosde a week from it instead of 10 eps every day...

Damn, youre a hardcore seasonal starter, i dont think ive ever started following more than 8. And that was way back in winter 2017 and i gave up on 6 of them around week 3...

Yeah, not really a seasonal watcher but im trying to get into it. So rn im watching the madoka spinoff, nekopara, irosoku reviewers and the doga kobo produced anime with the word asteroid in its name, the last one being my favorite so far.

Yeah i mean connecting with people takes a lot of energy and id say I have the problem of not being able to maintain connections that well. And Crappy stuff is the best on a tiresome day when you just want to turn of the brain, real gucci

Yeah and not sure about a group of 3, would personally be a to small group to enjoy närcon if the people in question isn't 100% the closest in humor and such.

Yeah finding irl friends who like anime and such is pretty hard, i joined a manga club and got some but mostly rely on my online friends i found through a game called osu.

I've personally only cosplayed outside of conventions, especially since närcon summer is usually under the hottest week of the year and the sweat levels are high enough as it is in a shirt and short pants...

But if you have a friendsgroup that all want to go to närcon then I recommend joining them, närcon is extremely fun with friends, even if noone wants to spend anything etc
