If you like philosophy you'll love this anime.
the first time i watched this anime I watched it for the story of a cool terrorist and a series of increasingly devastating crimes and i enjoyed every second of it. However the second time around, i watched the show to pay careful attention to their depiction of a dystopia and it's debate on what justice is. to be honest you'll end up with more questions about justice and freedom finishing the show then when you started.
The plot itself is pretty straight forward, but that isn't to say it isn't enjoyable. You can watch this anime solely
