You might be wondering why on earth did I theme my profile after a video game character on a social media website for anime. It's a symbolism. Ironically, being a fan of Princess Peach has lead to me enjoying anime. If you are interested in hearing the story, you may click on the button below. However, I must warn you that it does get rather unpleasant. Just remember that if you do read it, it is only an explanation as to why I named my account "Peach_Main."
I've always been a fan of Princess Peach ever since I first got into the Mario franchise. Her kind nature is second to none in my opinion, and when I first experienced Super Mario Bros. 2, her ability to float made her my favorite playable character in that game, and it makes me very happy that her move set in the Super Smash Bros. series includes it along with pulling vegetables out of the ground. As such, she became my main in those games.
Specifically, my first Smash game was Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I love the fact that one of the game's challenges was to win five matches with Peach to unlock a demo of Super Mario Bros. 2. That is the perfect way to reference the fact that Peach was first playable in that classic NES game. For the first few years after Brawl came out, I spent my free time playing as Peach against computer opponents since I am an only child. Regardless, I had fun and so did Peach herself. I mean, one of her victory quotes is "This is fun!"
My favorite palette swap for Peach is the yellow and orange dress. What is so unique about it is that it's the only one that changes her hair color. Instead of her normal blonde hair, it's brown, and I really like it. It's still my favorite color for her which I why I have that specific palette for my profile picture.
One day, I had a conversation with some friends from school. They have asked me have I played the latest Smash game (which was Brawl at the time) and I said yes. When they found out I was playing as Peach, they became like completely different people. Not only did they say so many negative comments about how much they dislike Peach, they condemned me for playing as her. After that, they went to tell all of our classmates who own a copy of Brawl about me. It seemed that I was the only person in the class who is a fan of Princess Peach and that one preference is not tolerable for them.
My friends stopped being my friends. Everybody else constantly shunned me and occassionally I experienced verbal abuse. One person even had the nerve to tell me that I was playing the game wrong for playing a "low tier character." Do take note that I did not mention the name of the character my favorite palette swap for Peach is based off of, Princess Daisy. That's because at the time, I have not played any Mario spin-off games such as Mario Kart, Mario Party, or any of the sports games. Plus, I never owned a copy of Super Mario Land. I have only played the mainline Mario games and the Mario RPGs, so I was very lost and confused when people accused me for liking Daisy over this palette swap.
To put it bluntly, I was betrayed by people I thought were my friends and I was very sad about it at first. Later, that sadness turned into rage. I became in a bad mood for a while. That's where my first anime comes into play. My mother occassionally visits an old friend of hers and when she does, she lets me play with her friend's son and I've kept in touch with him once we learned how to use the phone.
That person, he is who I'd say is really my friend since he is the first person besides other family members who did not judge me for being a Peach Main. On the phone, I told him about how awful the kids who hate Peach were treating me. He asked me do I want to get revenge using a supernatural force. After I answered yes to him, he recommended me to go watch Death Note. This is how being a fan of Princess Peach lead to me enjoying anime.
I made my account with one desire in mind: I want to share my opinions. This desire sparked when I found my personal favorite anime, and I wish to make a review on it here. However, I'm not just going to immediately make it and tell you what it is. Instead, I will determine when the time is right, so until then, I will be making reviews on a lot of other shows I've watched. You are free to make guesses on what my favorite anime is. I won't comment on whether you got it right or not at all. Perhaps, to reduce the number of possibilities of what it is, I will give you a hint: It is a Summer 2022 anime.
Here is how I rate the anime I have watched.
10 is for any anime I personally really found enjoyment in. It does not mean it's flawless, but any small nitpicks I may have will not hurt it.
9 and 8 depends on how flawed I find the anime to be, but I still have a positive outlook on it overall.
7, 6, and 5 will be given the Mixed Feelings label. These are given to anime that have flaws or aspects and elements I personally dislike half the time. 7 for if I find slightly more positives, 6 if the good and bad feel equally balanced, and 5 if there are slightly more negatives.
4 and below are in the red zone, also known as the list of anime I disliked. Depending on how well they try to redeem themselves, they would get either 4, 3, or 2. 1s are only for those that have literally nothing redeemable about them.
Before I make my next review, I will add the anime into my list and give my review and score for it later. There are some series that have special episodes or original video animations that I have watched, but most of the time I don't see them to be worthy of giving them their own separate reviews.
I am going at my own pace when it comes to this website since I have stuff to do outside of it. As for my list of favorite anime, characters, and voice actresses below, they will update based on what I have reviewed so far. After all, my profile is a slowly, but surely growing one.
Damnit I got the course name wrong again lol... I probably should've expected it but that's still impressive to hear that much of the DLC ended up being from MKWii. I like that game's courses a lot, but I didn't think I'd hear so much of it coming back at once aside from MK7! I've never heard of GBA Boo Lake, but then again I've never played Super Circuit. The most I've seen of that game is that title's versions of Rainbow Road.
Wait, no no no, that's right, I meant to say SNES Ghost Valley 3! I know about GBA Bowser, but I had thought of the spooky SNES wooden plank in dark background when I first read your comment. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I still dunno if I'd really get the DLC since I hardly ever play our Switch, which isn't even mine to begin with, but some of the additions sound like fun. Wii courses bring back nostalgia pretty easily.
Sorry for not being able to respond! I've been too concerned over my classes this semester to hardly think about replying, I really am sorry. I hope you are doing well. That Direct still is so unbelievable to me, the new Princess Peach game looks so good (wish they didn't change her face for the American box art though) and I still cannot believe that the TTYD remake is even a thing, much less coming out with more information probably soon as we head toward 2024! Did you get to play the SMRPG remake, now that it's out? How are you?
Ehh, I've done worse... somehow ruined a MadCatz GameCube controller with soda once and somehow our Win98 Compaq refused to load anything when we tried to play Super Mario RPG on it decades ago, nobody still knows what happened lol
Did you hear the news about Charles Martinet? The announcement/timing could've been worse but I'm still a bit sad.
I'm surprised she isn't in your MAL Profile Favorites then, considering there is a character entry for her. I love Princess Peach too, and the games where she's playable are made even more better for it. Like have you played Super Mario RPG or Super Paper Mario? Frickin awesome I tell ya. I still need to start Super Princess Peach, and I hope the upcoming Switch title with her as the lead is a follow-up of sorts or is really any good.

Though I guess it would technically be Daisy with that skin. :P
My sibling has MK8D but I don't think we have any of the DLC. Is SNES Bowser Castle 3 the one that's in Wii? Cuz then I remember that one too haha.
