Let me preface this by stating that this is my first review on MAL. I've done other reviews as u_menace on reddit so some of you may recognize me. Anyway, here's my sales pitch for this manga, as it deserves a hell of a good one! Please note that this review contains very minor spoilers (mostly pertaining to story design) but I've tried to keep it as spoiler free as possible!

story that focuses on the relationship and romance that develops between both the male and female protagonists. They initially begin in a relationship, which quickly becomes a marriage and grows from there. This manga has a very positive vibe to it. It has some drama, but the drama is used in a way to enhance the story. Speaking of which lets break down the elements.
Story - 8
While the story's premise is simple, its executed in a very enjoyable manner, taking advantage of the simple but charming artwork, and the lovely dynamic that builds between Nasa (male protag) and Tsukasa (female protag). Add onto it tons of snappy dialogue and hilarious little surprises and you have a gem of a story. The story is mostly episodic in nature, which is a given considering the fact that the main couple is already together so if you're looking for something with a really really gripping story, this might not be your thing, but I'd still give a read for a feel good story from week to week!
Art - 9
The overall artwork takes on a simplistic nature, it's not particularly detailed, but no details are left out. You see what I did there?! What I mean by this is, all of the important things are drawn clearly and visibly, but not in an overly detailed manner. Each scene has just enough details for you to grasp what's going on. The focus is on the 'cute' designs of the characters, as opposed to manga that try to emphasize intricate beauty.
Character - 10
When I see 'Character' I think of 'Character traits/Character Development' and this is one department that I think this story truly excels in. The characters have a wonderful dynamic between them and slowly establish trust while growing as individuals. You might be used to your typically dense main male protag who doesn't know whats happening at all, well Nasa is 'dense' in a completely different sense, but he doesnt stay this way for long! In fact, this manga managed to capture the concept of 'denseness' and convert it into a charming attribute for the main character. Seriously, have a read and you'll see what I mean!
Enjoyment - 10
This is a subjective criteria, but whenever I read this manga it always puts a smile on my face. Sometimes I laugh, sometimes I'm just grinning ear to ear, but this story brings me a little dose of happiness every week. If that's not what defines enjoyment, I dont know what does! In my 25 years of living, I'm privileged to be able to read such a simple but charming romance story.
Overall - 9
I'd say the weakest aspect of Tonikaku Kawaii is the limited number of plotlines to explore. Outside of the mysterious past of our story's bride, not much else is really worth exploring. But if that's the biggest weakness this story has, I'd gladly take it, especially when its countered by the fact that the focus of this story is on the development of love between a couple with hilariously conflicting, but synergistic personalities.
This is an underrated romance that deserves more attention. Forget the thrill of the chase, this is all about the thrill of discovering new things to love about the person whose brought new meaning to your life.
Thanks for reading!
