Ah this is getting an anime so I assume people will flock here to see what people think of it. Especially now that a new trailer has dropped.
This is my review as someone who has watched Initial D.
MF Ghost is the unofficial sequel of Initial D set in the same universe.
Story - 5
you see MF ghost's story is similar to Initial D but less believable. Initial D was strictly mountain racing just uphill or downhill but in MF Ghost you have circuit race in the mountains. Essentially you have an uphill and downhill and a long straight in between.
This circuit mechanic makes the racing
...
less believable as our mc drives a 200hp gt86 and is going up against Lambos, Porsche, Ferrari, Gtr. In fact the cars don't make sense how does a gt86 and civic type r get into the same category as a Ferrari or Lambo.
And here our MC (yes I'll call him that) drives so good that he is able to overtake such cars. which is total bullshit. Maybe on the downhill he can beat them but there's no way a 200hp gt86 keeps up during the uphill and straights.
Still though if you want a racing manga then feel free to read mf ghost. The pacing is hella slow though as the sheer amount of characters means they all get their own arc during races.
and yes there is an argument to be made regarding the performance of the cars due to the regulations set by the events and yes supercars will struggle in mountain roads since they're not built for it but come on just the class difference and power alone makes it hard to believe.
Though I will applaud the variety of cars.
Art - 6
I'll be honest it's hard to distinguish certain cars from each other. With most modern cars running a curved look, they pretty much look like each other.
Character - 6
There is a lot of characters, some are more valuable than others but everyone gets screen time so yeah it's a mess.
Enjoyment - 6
"We Went motor racing" if you want a racing manga then read mf ghost, if you want a realistic racing manga then set your bar low and you should enjoy mf ghost.

I hate to be that guy but my dress up darling is overrated.
It's overrated in a sense that its still a romcom by heart, to avid romcom watchers this show is an easy 9 or 10 but to the average anime viewer this show will hit or miss. This show is not an end all be all show, this isn't your typical shounen that even someone who has zero idea what to expect will still enjoy.
If we're talking just romcom category then...
Story - 9
Romcoms are like isekai anime, they have the same formula just with minor changes here and there. My dress up darling is
...
no exception so why is it a 10 you ask? Well the story and execution is top tier. Yes it has your average romcom mc in Gojou but with Marin being the way she is a degenerate gyaru you get this unique chemistry between the two.
Of course I can't forget about Cosplay, a core aspect of my dress up darling is how it uses Cosplay as a means to advance the plot and relationship with the characters. ALl the advice you get from the show is actually true to life, the author has done a great job researching the secrets of cosplay and somehow making it fit seamlessly into the plot.
The romance is there but my dress up darling is a slice of life with a touch of rom and com, as expected the pacing for the romance is a tad bit slow.
To non romcom watchers the plot will be hit or miss, like I mentioned earlier this show is still a romcom as such it has it's cliches.
Art- 10
Easily one of the best looking and animated romcoms out there, cloverworks went all out with the art, especially with the "animations" of Marin. It really is faithful to the source material.
Sound - 10
Regardless if you're sub/dub the va's knocked it out of the park. I don't have to say anything more. Just watch some Marin clips and that's all you need to know about the acting.
Opening is decent though I prefer the Ed
Character - 10
tbh I don't really want to talk about the characters that much since it's technically spoiling but here is a short background to the main duo
Gojou - He's your generic mc but his backstory as to why he's like that actually makes sense, he isn't edgy nor a sad boy rather he just follows in his fathers footsteps which is making dolls. It's a weird hobby to say the least and I can understand why he's afraid to share it with others.
You can think of Gojou's hobby like how most weebs act. Antisocial since watching anime is looked down upon by the population as a result they try to hide it which results in them isolating themselves from others.
Marin - Ah this girl, the best girl ̶s̶y̶d̶s̶n̶a̶p̶ , why is she best girl you ask? Well she's a gyaru and a degenarate. She likes to cosplay, she doesn't find Gojou's hobby weird and of course just how she acts. Marin has a casual tone whenever she talks often using slangs, this makes her feel more human as well.
To be honest just give maybe one or two episodes a shot to gauge the characters.
Now then for some"bad" aspects
-Ecchi - As expected for a cosplay focus series, Ecchi is prevalent. Marin especially
-Falls for romcom tropes, I've said this plenty of times but this show has its cliches and plotholes
Still though, Enjoyment - 10
As a sucker for romcoms this show is perfect, it has its cliches but it's a fun watch. The Va's and art complete the package by giving you an all-around experience. It'a good show to watch if you want to learn cosplay or just want to see ̶s̶y̶d̶s̶n̶a̶p̶ Marin talk.
Overall-9
9, Yes it's not a 10, again this loops back to my main point. My dress up darling is a romcom it is and will always be a tough sell to people who aren't into the genre. You can't just show this to someone and tell them that this is amazing. The Ecchi and fanservice also brings down the overall rating as this can turn people off.
If we're talking purely romcom then this is a 10 no question.

It's a good psychological drama, with reasonable characters although it does suffer from the delay in releases.
It's tough to follow the series since each chapter takes around a month to be released so by the point you read the new chapter you would've likely forgotten what happened in the older chapters. This is my biggest issue with the series honestly. I just can't follow through with whats happening without rereading the older chapters since the series is monthly.
Other than that, the series is fine I guess.
Story - 6 - It's a psychological drama with a halfhearted attempt at comedy and romance. You have Jimi Sensei
...
a mysterious teacher and the piece of shit section that is 1-A filled with murderers and edgy women.
Art - 7 - Nothing to write home about but not bad, The insane moments are captured well
Character - 7 -The characters while edgy are ok, the abundance of characters once again is a bit of a pain as I got confused who's who. It just depends on how you can tolerate the sheer insanity some of them have
Overall if you plan to read this series, I suggest binge it, that way you can get a good grasp of what's going on. Overall Score 7

As of writing this, the show has a 6.60 score, yet the top reviews for the most part speak highly of the show. Why is that you ask? Welll..
It's because this show is dumb romcom fun, it doesn't try to be serious and neither should you, this is one of those shows where the sheer chaos of it all is the main selling point and not the intricate plot details that nearly every shounen fan wants to see.
You have the dumb and straight forward Naoya dating Saki, Naoya being the mastermind that he is doesn't reject girls who want to be his girlfriend, instead he
...
accepts them forming this polygamy of some sorts.
It's a hentai plot to say the least but it is balanced out by the lack of any explicit ecchi and the quirkiness and stupidity of the main cast. Everyone is stupid, yet somehow they don't get on your nerves that much.
The voice acting is just top notch, everyone kills it in their role whether it's Naoya's va with his straightforward lines, Saki's Va screaming out of control, Nagisa's Va acting cutesy and Mirika's va being well Mirika.
Probably the main problem I have with this show is the art, it gets very derpy at times, the close ups are great, I love the color schemes and how everyone is designed but once you zoom out the faces tend to become derpy, It adds to the comedic aspect of the show but it does look awful at times.
OP is unique in that this is the 1st anime op done by the band, the voice of the lead singer is different from the usual anime op artists so there's that.
Overall though I'll give it an 8, this show does what it's supposed to do and it does it well, it's not perfect by any means but it sure isn't a 6.6 especially with it's intended purpose

From the studio that brought you Oregairu comes ReLife with a mix of Sakurasou and a pinch of Ecchi because why not.
That's honestly the best way I can describe this show. Given that it's only been 4 episodes I can't judge this show too much yet not too mention I haven't read the source material.
The plot is interesting, you see ReLife occured in High School, Bokutachi no Remake occurs in college, this allows for more mature themes and content to be explored.
Kyouya the mc, is a video game designer well he wanted to be anyway. Despite how big video games are nowadays, it is still
...
a niche and small part of the overall job market. Kyouya got the short end of the stick, as a result he has bounced around from company to company never finding a stable role, eventually like most humans do he goes back to his hometown to get a "fresh" start.
Things happen and boom he is 10 years back in the past, Freshman college year as well. He decides to choose a different course than what he originally took and this is where the story begins.
I like Kyouya, I don't know why but his story along with his thinking as to why his life went down the path it took hits hard, I think it more or less has to do with just how realistic he feels, a man who just wanted to get a job doing what he likes brought down by poor career choices. It's only natural to think that if you took a different path or in this case college course you're life might've turned out better. That's the Relife aspect of the show.
This show is like Sakurasou on the other hand because the main cast of characters live with each other, all have their own unique talents, they have good chemistry with one another and the plot involves them most of the time.
This sounds good and all but I do have a few problems mainly the Ecchi and Cliches the show uses
I like ecchi after all I'm a degen just like most of you but the Ecchi scenes are poorly planned out, they just appear randomly for some reason.
And of course the Cliches and tropes, no anime is safe from this especially Sol shows as there's no way to keep the plot interesting without them.
Anyway that's my take so far, It's probably a 7 for me. Since studio feel did the animation and art, it has that Oregairu vibe to it and I dig it, though the plot could use touches that's why it's a 7 for me

Never heard of this show, Synopsis didn't really give any viable information on what the plot is. Heck even the cover art doesn't match the title for some reason. The detective is already dead? but what's the harem of girls at the back?
Watched it and well..
The 1st episode was good, 50 minutes long, a massive leadup to the twist provided in the synopsis. We get introduced to the Mc and Siesta, the mythical powers in the world along with the antagonists gets introduced. It was good, we get to see how the two become partners albeit for one episode only.
Then we get episodes
...
2-4 and things go down the drain, what looked like a promising concept turned into a bunny girl senpai-esque harem show with Date a live looking characters.
Episode 2 was sort of good? I mean we did get Nagisa and a bit of Siesta but whatever plot idea we got from that episode was thrown out the door when episode 3 came along.
It's tough
I don't want to be too harsh to this adaptation because I've heard good things about the ln but.....
I was so disappointed with the recent episodes, mainly because it went against my expectations but in the wrong way. I'm a fan of harem shows don't get me wrong but I just don't like it when it goes this kind of route.
Let me repeat, the disappointment isn't because the show doesn't live up to the hype people said it has, it is because it changes plots so suddenly, from a seemingly mystery thriller to becoming a romance/harem show with a sprinkle of mystery to returning back to a mystery thriller the next episode then becoming a beach episode.
It's this inconsistency that really brings this show down, it feels like its trying to appeal to as much people as possible rather than commit to what has already been setup
you have an established antagonist group from the 1st episode, a twist of Siesta dying and the middle schooler mc having to deal with it, I won't blame you if you think this was a mystery anime. Heck Episode 2 as well made me think oh cool so it keeps the mystery theme along with referencing Siesta and the addition of Nagisa to the detective crew?
Then it pulls a 180 on episode 3 and 4, it keeps a little mystery in exchange we get a cute girl with seemingly no connection to Siesta at all.
-It still remains the same up until Episode 6 so far- inconsistent plot and all
Also why do some of the characters look like bootleg characters from other harem shows? Siesta looks and talks like Origami from date a live albeit with a little more emotion heck Saikawa is bootleg Kurumi as well.
Animation is lacking but that's understandable coming from a new studio.
The show has been disappointing but it's a fiesta, the plot is everywhere and that's probably why you should watch it. It's a mess of an adaptation.
also cameo from god and fox friend in episode 3.
I'll give it a 5 for now, I don't want to be too harsh especially since I like the mystery genre

Despite how it sounds and how the mc looks, this manga is not an erotic time travel manga, instead we get a dramatic tale of a guy whose erotic intentions turns his life upside down.
Probably one of the best aspects of this manga is how it handles the time-travel niche, If you've read/watched Rezero then you should have a general idea of how the "save point" system works. This series modifies that by allowing the MC to go back and forth in time, in order to see how his actions affects the present. It's a cool concept that works for the series
But unlike Rezero, the
...
MC here isn't a slimy simp, yes his main intent is erotic to say the least but it is clear from the get go that he is a good person at its core. He is cringe at times but it is tolerable
Art is a bit weird, You have to get used to it to enjoy the series, honestly reviews wont give this series its justice, you have to try it for yourself.

Aside from the plot not going anywhere and Kazuya being your irl weeb guy, this series is quite good
You have great art, great waifus, solid supporting friends.
If only the fucking plot actually moved.
The plot along with Kazuya drag this series down ratings wise, Kazuya is realistic compared to other anime mc's since his flaws are close to the average horny teen but he's way too exaggerated when it comes to his self confidence issues, he's way too pathetic.
Which is a shame honestly, the art is amazing, especially when we get those moments where Kazuya actually gets his shit together. The opening chapter art which usually
...
shows Chizuru uses actual clothes from fashion magazines.
The characters aren't too shabby either, You don't need any explanation for Chizuru
Ruka is meh, Sumi is just there for fluff, and Yaemori is more of a sidekick but they're all good characters.
Kazuya's friends are rational, and serve as the straight men for the series.
If you want my scores well
Story -6 (If only it progressed, honestly)
Art - 10
Character - 6 (Aside from kazuya everyone's alright)
Enjoyment - 7 (KAzuya can be frustrating at times)

I find it weird how, MAL users rate this show so low yet people from reddit or other anime community rate it highly. Nevertheless this is my take.
Higehiro as it's called, at first glance seems like a trashy show, after all with such a long title featuring the words high school girl. I won't fault you for thinking this was one of those shows.
Instead this show falls under the bunny girl senpai realm, where the title isn't exactly as it seems.
Story - 7
Story is simple, Yoshida gets rejected, finds Sayu and decides to take her in, what follows next is the story of the two
...
living together. It's strangely wholesome and dark at the same time but it isn't spectacular or anything.
If anything else, the plot and story is fairly down to earth, It's somewhat realistic aside from the fact that Yoshida gets a harem. It's llight hearted but when it gets dark then it gets very dark. Again nothing to crazy
Art - 6
It's good, don't really know what else to say
Sound - 7
Voice acting is great, Sayu's va did a great job, plenty of people were skeptical at first of giving Sayu a more mature voice but it worked out as the deeper more mature voice helped her dark moment shine through. Yoshida's va did well and everyone else.
Character - 6
This is where people split their opinion, on one side you have People praising Yoshida, others despise him.
Personally I think he's alright, have to applaud about his character is the maturity, he isn't overly mature, and his reasons are perfectly justifiable and he's also dense but not overly.
He has a good mix of maturity mixed in with just the right amount of density to make me and others like him but he is too perfect of a character. He has his moments where he sort of gives in to temptations but its' not enought. Yoshida is supposed to portrayed as a flawed, lonely, run of the mill office worker.
Although just like reddit users say Yoshichad is good, at the very least people like us should strive to have as much self control as him even if he is too good to be true.
Side characters a.k.a. the harem members are aight, the anime did skip out on a Yoshida's ex and her entire arc.
Enjoyment - 7
It's not great but it's not bad. I liked it. Honestly why are the reviews so low I don't get it.
Overall - 7

What happens when a show gets too much Hype? look no further than the god of highschool to answer that question, coming of the heels of Tower of God, The god of high school premiered with insane hype around it.
as an anime centralized around a fighting tournament, I and quite frankly everyone else got bamboozled
the main flaws with the god of highschool are
-lack of plot
-lack of character development
-rushed pacing
It became clear early on that it had little to no plot aside from the fighting itself, to compensate for this the adaptation rushed, and skipped A LOT of content.
...
Becuase the show is essentially a massive fighting arc, characters come and go, there is little development for the main characters aside from the occasional realization mid fight.
The only thing that saves this series from not being shit for me is the art.
The art is amazing, fight scenes are great, well detailed and unique, but aside from that this show doesn't have anything to justify the hype it generated.
even without the hype, this show isn't great. Art is the only thing that makes this worth watching. I dropped it midway.
