Have you ever wondered what neurally series like Mushishi and Natsume do? Slightly different, but similar atmospheres. Also, Buranko (may?) be the only series about a psychiatrist, but isn't it disappointing no neurotransmitters were ever mentioned? Kind of like real ones, knowing what pharma tells them to sell but nothing about any functions.

Lets say, you have a very, very special view on what plot development is.

I loved your article on "A Beginner's Guide to Being Chuunibyou". Silly and fun writing like yours keeps me sane in non-stop training environments. Everyone around me lets out their inner child when working with explosives. I think it would be fun to pretend to be a little chunni in such a serious environment. Thank you for the morale and the idea.

Cheap death? Didn't MadoMagi revived all their magical girls even those from ancient times? Lol

A lot got surprised by Mami's death but who even cried at that scene? That's nothing compared to Hardgo Alice's death

While nothing beats Homu and Madoka's sad scenes and still makes me cry everytime the fact that they're alive and was revived, their deaths will always remain cheap, even if the process of "how" they got revived was okay. Facts is no one died in the show "CHEAP DEATH" lols

P.S. you're a try hard elitist

Saw your article about MGRP and PMMM

You're totally biased, do you even know the anime of MGRP is just the first of six arcs?

And Madoka wasn't the first dark magical girl anime

At this point every dark magical girl anime is just a "madoka ripoff" to any madoka worshipers

"Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica was the first to add some darkness to the usual glittery nature of the genre"
I resent the idea that mahou shoujo was never dark pre-Madoka, as I think it's a narrowminded perspective. I mean hell, even as far back as the early 80s, magical girl shows were killing their own protagonists. It's a diverse genre that has covered all kinds of subjects and themes, so at least know what you're talking about before making sweeping generalizations like that.

Love your post on Madoka Magica and Raising project, and I completely agree.

And, Swim Swim is an amazing 'villain'. Yes, she's a 7-year-old child but she makes a good antagonist! People hate her, but I think people are supposed to hate her (she's antagonist after all). I personally don't like Snow White, because she got barely any development and was personally really bad at being the main protagonist... -.-

I feel like Raising project had a good concept, which could have been executed a lot better. Your point about how death is cheap is a good one, because it's really no surprise that people died, especially since so many death flags would be raised.

Another problem I would have with Raising project is the fact that they show everyone's point of view, which can also be a good thing, but also a bad thing. I'm not sure how they would show death (perhaps in flashbacks) but when they show everyone's point of view, it can take away from the
"THEY DIED?" factor.

Well, I also agree that the popularity of MadoMagi may have enable other story of "mature" mahou shoujo to get born, but you missed the point that MahoIku never tried to copy MadoMagi. :o

I personally see Madoka Magica and Magical Girl Raising project as both the cause and effect when a new, good series hits the mainstream market big time. That is, imitators will come along and thoroughly miss the point. It happened with Gundam, Evangelion, and certainly with Madoka.

So yeah, I can agree with that article of yours overall.

Amazing work on your anime food blog! So impressively delicious!

About those rapid-fire knife skills, you can probably do something similar to them without any kind of training. It's of course not perfect but it should make things easier

First, you should cut it up into thin strips so that your knife can through them in one go

Next, grab the handle and the tip of your knife

And last, just start using it like how the aldini brothers used the mezzaluna (i'm assuming that you know what I'm talking about since you've watched shokugeki no souma)

Well, that's just a simple trick that I came up with bcos I was inspired by that anime in reality I was just trying to make things easier for me lol

Oh and this does work, I've tried it out myself already

I posted a more detailed explanation on my site:

hey, just quickly wanted to say this: Great job with your article about Chuunibyou! It's ridiculously rare to find someone who is (appearently) even more obsessed with that topic that I am :p
