When Siskel and Ebert were around, I took to one heart one thing they said on their show: "a review should not tell you about the movie's quality. It should tell you why the person feels the way he does about said movie". Therefore, I'm absolutely opposed to the very notion that anime has to be rated from a third person perspective the same way you're opposed to my methods. You don't get to decide what a review is supposed to be like and I've made no claims to be a professional anyways. I'm not an anime nerd. I'm just some American bum who watches foreign cartoons in his free time.

As for my reviewing style, I write them the same way I'd describe an anime to a friend. Contrary to what you may think, this takes LONGER to write than your average third-person review because I have to keep the review flowing the entire way through, come up with jokes (those pointless idioms you mention) because comedy is the best way to get people to pay attention, and make sure I don't spoil anything because a review can't replace actually watching the show. Time I could be spending playing some Steam games or frying some fish. But I do this because honestly, I find those third person perspective reviews you enjoy to be boring. In fact, the reason I started posting my stuff on this site is because I got sick of the number of emotionless stuff filled with generic praise (or criticism) whenever I get the urge to look at an anime entry and notice the most helpful review at the top of that tab. And I have no idea what you mean when I say I write a show based on no logical proof. I didn't like ReLIFE or Kiznaiver because their stories were unambitious and the comedy sucked. As for the other things I scored negatively, they can be summed up like this: if you HAVE to be an anime nerd to like something, then it's NOT a good anime. Most reasonable people wouldn't say you have to be a fantasy nerd to like Game of Thrones.

If you don't like my style, then my reviews simply aren't for you. I'm not catering to anyone. But I do spend time and dedication (at least a few hours of what little free time I have) on what I write because I have a readership to entertain and I need to churn out something at least once a week to keep them happy. The only thing I'm lousy at is proofreading. No matter how much I try, I can never catch my spelling errors until after the review is already up.

And I'll stop rating things low when MAL removes the requirement to put a number on every review I write. Why do scores still exist anyways? They're pointless and a bad representation of a complicated opinion.

I've been sitting here trying best to decide how to respond to this question, but I see that as you're a loquacious, eloquent sort who appears to have a brain, though I'm not sure you read your own writing very well... I think a lot is best left unsaid. While I'm certainly glad that there is the one tried and true, clinically tested way to review anime, (and that you JUST so happen to know what it is), I must express my gratitude that you have seen fit to share it with me. You certainly have a bounty of quality writing to back yourself and the points you make about my writing up, and with that, I must say that I concede to your overwhelming expertise in this area. Please, do tell me more.

Actually, in the review I did rate it a 7/10; if a few changes were made in the anime. 1/10 is just my personal enjoyment of the anime. I enjoyed half of the anime a 7/10 then the other half a 1/10, but because I was very disgusted through a lot of the parts I had to rate it 1/10. But yeah, I kinda did rate it 7/10, just unofficially.

The only ongoing manga are Gin no Saji and Yowamushi Pedal, NANA is complete already xD and I read both, I used to read complete only but after a while I probably will not have something to read, how most manga and anime are ecchi, lolis and fanservice, even though I'm neutral about them I will said I'm not to fond of them but some of them are good ^^
