At first, I was very hesitant to start watching this anime due to its dark, gory elements and unique older art style. At its core, the anime follows the story of a powerful female knight/hunters known as Claymores in search of revenge and destruction of the Yoma, man-eating monsters that take on the form of their victims. The anime is packed with unique high-intensity battles between the Claymores and Yoma, these battles are then used to develop the identities of the majority female cast.
